As they approached the older woman, they could only be by her side and hold her hands with gloves. Tanaga stood on one side, and Ashley stood at the other. The two held each of her hands, trying their best not to shed any tears in front of her.

"Grandma, how are you feeling?" Asked Ashley, who’s eyes widened when she realized her mistake.

"What a stupid question from . I’m so sorry, grandma. I know you’re in pain," Ashley said as her voice emitted sadness.

Grandma Hanada was trying her best to seem fine, even though the pain was excruciating. She tried her best to smile as she tried to comfort the saddened couple.

"Don’t fret, kiddo. I’m fine. Though I have many contraptions hooked on right now, I’m alright, and I’m doing just fine. The machines are only necessary to keep track of my vitals. Is all," she said calmly to her granddaughter-in-law.

Tanaga, on the other hand, just stood there watching as his grandma and his wife conversed. His wife tried her best to be optimistic while telling grandma Hanada everything that happened and everything they had done in the Spaniard Kingdom.

"So, you’re telling that Mr. Sato found his true love and decided to stay there to be with this special soone? I’m so happy for him. When I get discharged from this hospital, let’s commission him to do a winter collection for the whole family. I want to see his talent with my own eyes," grandma Hanada concluded.

Grandma Hanada was doing her best to be cheerful in front of her grandson, who, by now, hadn’t said a word yet. She lightly squeezed his hand, hoping to get another reaction than that expression he had on his usually handso face.

When Ashley finally finished telling her everything she had to tell her, the room went eerie quiet, as they had nothing else but one last topic to discuss.

Ashley, being the one who silently volunteered to, had no choice but to bring up the subject of Naomi’s death.

"Grandma," she started, not knowing how to talk about it.

"Is it alright for us to speak about her?" Ashley asked, refusing to ntion Naomi’s na out of fear she’d fall into another heart attack.

"Yes, dear! I’m fine, as I told you. When I first heard about it, I was in shock, but I can handle it now. I have co to terms with her death ever since she had faked her death a long ti ago. It ans nothing to now. I only wish that I let her speak with one last ti, but it was for the better," grandma Hanada said calmly, much to Ashley’s surprise.

It was a shock that she didn’t even shed a tear at the death of her daughter. It was as if...it never occurred at all.

After hearing what grandma Hanada said, Ashley chose not to speak about those who already passed, instead choosing to inform the older woman of the good news they had in store for her. Hopefully, hearing it would make her have the need to want to live longer.

"I changed my mind. Grandma, how about we tell you so good news instead," she suggested as she smiled happily.

Grandma Hanada’s eyes widened.

"Oh? You have good news to share? Do tell, and I can’t wait to hear it," she said as ideas started forming in her head. She thought that they’d announce they were getting married again, but when she found out that wasn’t the case, it was likely she’d probably have another heart attack.

Ashley looked at Tanaga with pleading eyes. She wanted her husband to be the bearer of good news, even though he didn’t seem to be in the hospital room, but far, far away. He didn’t notice Ashley trying to get his attention, that was until she called him.

"Tan, Tan, honey!" Ashley spoke, raising her voice to grab his attention.

Tanaga was in sowhat of a trance when he heard Ashley’s voice.

"I’m sorry! Sorry, what was it you were saying?" He asked in confusion, wondering what Ashley wanted to tell his grandmother. His eyes imdiately lit up when he rembered the good news he wanted to share with her.

He faced his grandma, a huge grin on his face as he announced as his eyes shined brightly, "Grandma, you better get well soon since you’ll need all the energy you can get to help us with the children. It’s fine with just twins since mother and father-in-law can help us, but when this new baby cos, who knows, we might have another set of twins."

Hearing the good news Tanaga had just told her, tears began to gather in her eyes as she tried to resist the urge to cry from happiness.

"Thank you, Lord Jesus, for letting live long enough to see my great-grandchildren grow," she said silently as she squeezed both of her grandchildren’s hands.

"If you want to get better, you better let rest now. That’s when my recovery can start," she said, as tears of happiness now dropped from her wrinkly eyes.

The couple knew she did need her rest and bid the older woman goodbye with the promise to revisit her with the rest of the family once she was transferred to a regular room, causing grandmother Hanada to smile before her tired eyes drooped down. She waved the couple goodbye before they left, knowing this wouldn’t be the last ti she’d see them at the hospital.

While Ashley and Tanaga were at the hospital, Tanaka had to fly to Japan to handle what would happen with Naomi’s remains. He decided to have her corpse cremated so he could let his grandmother decide what she wanted to do with her daughter’s ashes, fully knowing that she’d ask for her ashes to be scattered into the vast ocean to set her free.

Tanaga and Ashley stayed at the hospital to take care of the older woman, while the rest of the family didn’t know the good news they had in store for them. The couple decided to keep it a secret till the older woman recovered and could join their festivities.

Days went by, and the older woman was finally discharged. She looked like her usual self. and was full of life. She insisted on staying with Tanaka to strengthen their bond, and Tanaga didn’t stop her.

Since Tanaga is still undergoing the treatnt, they decided to remain in Texas until they are sure of his cure. Since they knew that Tanaka was alive except for Koji, they agreed to let him go to Japan and run the corporation under the guise of being Tanaga instead of himself.

It was a risky decision for Tanaga to let his brother disguise himself as him, but there was nothing he could do at the mont. His life is still in danger and there’s still a chance that he would not be cured and if that happened, he would be ready to take over.

Unknown to them that this is the biggest mistake Tanaga had ever made to himself, the power to be in control of a vast corporation was very tempting and it will be the demon that Tanaka would face when the ti cos...
