"Tan!!! Hello, I an CEO Jones, how are you?" Ohani quickly got up so she could embrace Tanaga. However, before she even made it close to him, he promptly backed away, and she ca face to face with her mortal enemy... Ashley, who has a serious look on her face.
"Oh!" She quickly backed away and stopped what she intended to do at first. "Well, hello!" Ohani greeted Ashley with a nod while checking her out from head to toe.
Ashely nodded in return and replies kindly. " Hello, to you too!" Said Ashley while her face was void with emotion. After her greetings, she stood quietly and never utter another word. If Tanaga would not introduce her to everyone, she has no plan to greet them either.
Koji, who at first wasn’t paying attention to Ohani the whole ti they were together in the sa space, raised his head to look when he heard Tanaga’s loud voice. He put down the magazine that he was reading and got up. "How are you, CEO Jones?" While he has his hand extended for a handshake with his cousin and his boss.
Tanaga accepted the handshake that Koji had offered. "I’m fine! How about you? Did the price of the stock of our company drop? Since you’re here socializing during working hours?!" Snarled Tanaga as his brows creased, and his forehead wrinkled. When he pinched the bridge of his nose, Koji could tell he was unhappy.
"If you must know! Why his here... Is not to socialize, it’s because your grandmother asked him to co so she could introduce the new assistant that she’s recomnding." Interjected President Hanada as he looked at Ashley’s direction with a aning.
Tanaga saw what his uncle did, and he’s feature got worsen. "What do you an that grandmother had called him to co here? Where’s grandmother right now? Who is this person that she’s supposed to be recomnding to be his assistant?" He asked his uncle, almost shouting.
He knew what his uncle was doing everything in his power to take his position as the CEO of THJ Group. Ever since he got appointed as the CEO, there were many attempts in his life. It’s a good thing that all his bodyguards were the best and capable. No matter how hard his uncle tries to get rid of him, he always missed.
"If you’re insinuating that grandmother was planning on introducing my wi... I an, Miss Gusman. Then I’m sorry to say this, but she’s now my assistant, and I have no plan on getting rid of her or giving her away to anyone!" He sternly said it while staring at his uncle without blinking.
He almost blurted out the word ’Wife.’ It’s a good thing that he was quick to redy the situation and corrected his phrase before the three of them realizes what he was about to call Ashley.
Ashley secretly smiled to herself when she realized what Tanaga almost said to the trio. ’One of this day, he will not be able to control himself, and he would accidentally call his wife. Hahaha!" She was thinking while she stood there waiting if he’s going to introduce her at all or not. For her, it doesn’t matter, for she has no plan on associating herself with these people anyway.
Ohani got tired of standing and went back to sit down where she was sitting before, next to President Hanada, while watching what is going on between the President and the CEO of THJ Group. ’I wonder what this girl has for it seems that Tan, is infatuated with her? I need to do sothing and find a way to get rid of her, or I would have a hard ti getting Tanaga back.’ She thought as she stared at Ashley intensely.
President Hanada and Tanaga were about to get into argunts, while Koji was secretly checking Ashley out without Tanaga knowing. At first, he was only curious as to she is, but then... when he laid his eyes at the Filipina beauty right next to his cousin... His heart began beating so fast that it feels likes he’s about to have a heart attack. *Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!*
"What in the world is happening to ? Why is my heart beating so fast like a bunch of wild horses were racing inside my heart? Don’t tell that I’m attracted to this girl? Go’away! This is the first ti I ever felt like this, and it’s not good. Not good at all..." He thought while gazing at Ashley whose standing right next to Tanaga quietly.
Ashley, who’s standing right next to Tanaga wasn’t saying a word, saw that Koji was secretly checking her out. Out of courtesy, she decided to greet him with respect. She smiled at Koji while nodding to acknowledge that she knew he was gazing at her.
’Oh’ shit! Is she smiling at ? Nah! I think I’m hallucinating and seeing things.’ Koji told himself, no, believing that Ashley smiled at him.
Tanaga was tired of arguing with his uncle and decided that it’s ti for them to depart to look further for his grandmother to square things out with her. " Let’s go! Since the Chairwoman is not here anyway, let’s go back to work!" He said to his wife as he turned around, ready to leave without saying goodbye to the trio.
"Wait! Wait a damn minute!" Shouted President Hanada as he got up quickly and went after Tanaga and Ashley.
"You haven’t even introduced to us your new assistant. What’s up with that? Are you not even giving any respect as your elder? Forget as the President of this company, and I’m your uncle... for god sake!" President Hanada shouted from the top of his lungs with a reddened face, for he surely is angry by this ti.
He couldn’t believe that Tanaga would disregard him right in front of his lowly assistant and not bothering to introduce her at all. He needed to show his authority as the elder of the family if nothing else.
Tanaga stopped and turned around to look at his uncle face to face. " When did it ever beca important for a re assistant to be introduced to the President of the company when the employee is beneath you? She’s only my assistant, why do I need to introduce her to all of you?"
He then turned around and faced Ashley. "Let’s go! What are you waiting for?" He snarled at Ashley without realizing how degrading it was for her, and lowly, she felt being called a re assistant and nothing substantial...
