Chapter 441: Chapter 441: Accidentally eting Simon Chapter 441: Chapter 441: Accidentally eting Simon Mo Zhizi also stood up and responded, “Thank you, sister-in-law.”
But why did she feel that the term ‘sister-in-law’ was filled with a sense of rejection?
Qiao Ruoxin didn’t say anything more and turned to leave.
The bodyguard had been waiting outside the door for her to co out and then escorted her all the way to the elevator, ready to take her ho.
With a “ding-dong,” the elevator reached the first floor, and the doors slowly opened.
The mont the elevator doors opened, Qiao Ruoxin couldn’t help but widen her eyes because Simon was standing right outside.
She couldn’t rember how long it had been since she saw this man; encountering him in such a situation was unexpected.
Upon seeing Simon, the bodyguard imdiately shielded her behind him, staying alert every second, as Simon was the main person they were on guard against.
Simon, however, wore a calm expression, the corners of his mouth slightly lifted, “Xinxin, long ti no see.”
Qiao Ruoxin stepped out of the elevator, her gaze fixed on Simon, and finally couldn’t hold back, “Why are you here? Don’t tell you live here!”
Simon: “That’s not the case; I’m here to see soone.”
“Mo Zhizi? You’re planning to pursue her? Seriously?”
Simon laughed softly; after all, with two bodyguards between them, he couldn’t do much.
“What’s the matter? Don’t you want to pursue other won? It’s not quite fair, being with the man you love while not allowing to chase soone else.”
Qiao Ruoxin scoffed, “You’re thinking too much. I don’t care whom you chase, but you cannot pursue Mo Zhizi.”
“Why?”
“Don’t pretend I don’t know what you’re up to. Mo Zhizi is not your type at all; you have other motives!”
“I thought you knew nothing about , but it turns out you understand quite well. I’m relieved; my affection wasn’t wasted on you,” Simon’s tone was deliberately ambiguous.
The faces of the two bodyguards standing in front of Qiao Ruoxin showed a hint of displeasure.
Qiao Ruoxin didn’t bother to entertain him, “Stay away from Mo Zhizi.”
“Xinxin, aren’t you being a bit too controlling? What am I to you? I can’t pursue other won now? Do you want to stay single for life?”
Qiao Ruoxin felt an urge to slap him, annoyed by his unreasonable and shaless prattle.
“You like Mo Zhizi? What do you like about her?”
“She’s quite acceptable in all aspects, and she’s no less attractive than you, right?” said Simon, his tone laced with a teasing laugh.
Qiao Ruoxin pursed her lips tightly and said nothing, turning to the bodyguard, “Let’s go.”
Then, she turned and left.
Simon stood still, watching her slender figure recede into the distance, squinting his eyes, the smile vanishing from his handso face.
He couldn’t help but think Qiao Ruoxin had beco more cautious in her walk lately, which was odd.
It had been too long since he last saw Qiao Ruoxin, and he had not expected to et her in such a way.
He wished she would get jealous over him just once, ha… but that seed impossible.
…
In the car.
Qiao Ruoxin was escorted by the bodyguard into the car, and just as she sat down, her phone started ringing.
“Miss Qiao, it’s Mr. Mo,” the bodyguard said as he handed her the phone.
She picked up the phone and held it to her ear, “Mo Chen, brother, is there sothing you need?”
“Who told you to go look for her?”
“…”
Qiao Ruoxin looked up at the bodyguard; it seed that the report had been made to Mo Chen, which was not surprising since they took orders from him.
“I’m fine, I’m on my way back now.”
“Have them bring you to my office.”
She felt sowhat helpless, but still agreed, “Alright, I’ll co by in a bit.”
