anwhile...

Atlas rushed to the hospital, where he was told that Lola had been admitted. God knows what was running through his mind when he heard about the accident involving her. According to the report, while Lola was practicing a scene, one of the props had fallen on her.

He didn’t listen to the rest. He simply bolted for the ward where Lola was.

As soon as he pushed the door open, Atlas froze. His breath ca heavy, beads of sweat forming on his forehead as his eyes darted around the room. Inside were Director Sarian, Ida, Silo, Cedrick, and Haji.

Everyone turned their heads at once, blinking at the sight of him standing in the doorway like a storm had just blown in. When his gaze finally landed on the bed, he found Lola sitting upright, a small bandage on the side of her forehead.

Seeing her smiling at him flooded him with relief. His shoulders loosened, and he exhaled deeply. Regaining his composure, he walked in without sparing a glance at anyone else.

Atlas said nothing at first. His gaze lingered on her face, tracing every inch of her. Without a word, he reached out and lightly touched the edge of her bandage.

"I’m okay." Lola smiled, giving Silo a smug look that instantly made him frown.

Silo clicked his tongue inwardly. She just got into an accident, and she’s already picking on ?!

But when his gaze flicked back to Atlas, all irritation lted away like sumr snow. His eyes glimred as if he were staring at a celebrity.

"I heard what happened," Atlas said, cutting through the silence. His tone was low, but his side-eye at Director Sarian made the air tense.

The director cleared his throat, realizing Atlas probably blad him for the entire mishap.

"It’s an accident," Lola interjected with a smile. "No one wanted that to happen. Fortunately, Baby was quick to jump in, so neither Cedrick nor I were badly injured."

Cedrick, seated nearby, also had a few scratches that could easily be covered with makeup.

Earlier on set, while everyone was finishing up the overhead lights, one of the heavy fixtures had suddenly snapped and fallen. Despite all the pre-checks and safety asures, accidents happened.

Thankfully, Baby had been close by and reacted fast. Using his large fra, he shielded both Lola and Cedrick from what could have been a disaster.

"It all happened so fast that everyone panicked," Lola went on, turning to the others. "So you don’t have to crowd in here. I’m fine. Besides, we just finished my last scene in the first quarter anyway, so there won’t be any delays."

Director Sarian had indeed focused on wrapping up Lola’s scenes early to et the tight deadline.

"Haist! Don’t worry about the film for now!" the director scolded, then froze when he realized who else was in the room. "Ahem! What I ant was—since you’ve done your takes, you should rest first."

Ida stepped forward with a reassuring nod. "Taz, don’t worry about anything else. We already asked the staff to re-inspect all the equipnt—just to be safe."

"It’s still a good thing no one was seriously hurt," Silo sighed in relief. "If I had been there, I would’ve saved you too."

Yet as he declared that, his eyes were glued to Atlas.

Everyone—except Atlas—looked at Silo. Wasn’t Silo the one closest to Lola and Cedrick when the light fell? The guy had frozen the mont he heard sothing snap! But no one called him out. Instead, they simply reminded Lola to rest and promised it wouldn’t happen again.

Director Sarian, however, couldn’t stop apologizing. He kept glancing nervously at Atlas, terrified the man might unleash his wrath on him. Thankfully, Atlas stayed silent, his focus never leaving Lola.

"Anyway, don’t worry about coming back to set just yet," the director said, rubbing the back of his neck. "Take a few days off."

"Yes, Taz," Ida agreed warmly. "Thanks to you, we’re still on schedule."

"Well, I’ll head out first," Director Sarian said, turning to Cedrick. "You too, Cedrick. Rest up."

"But I still have one scene—" Cedrick began, but the director waved a dismissive hand.

"Don’t worry about it. We can film that later. Just make sure you’re not hurt anywhere. I’d rather postpone the scene than risk anything."

Silo chid in again, ever the perforr. "Right! You should rest. Even if it’s just a few scratches, that face is your career! You’ve got to protect it!"

Cedrick smiled awkwardly, scratching the back of his head, revealing a dark bruise on his arm. Atlas caught sight of it, his brows lifting slightly before his eyes flicked up to et Cedrick’s.

anwhile, Haji sat quietly on the couch, observing the chaos like an unwilling spectator. He shook his head, unable to process the scene before him.

Atlas’s presence alone had Director Sarian apologizing on repeat, Silo acting like a love-struck fool, and Cedrick stuck in the middle of awkwardness.

"I can’t even bla him," Haji muttered under his breath, glancing at Cedrick. "I wouldn’t know how to react either."

Just as Director Sarian and Ida were about to make their exit — and Haji thought peace might return—the door burst open again.

"Sis!"

Slater’s bright voice filled the room, startling everyone.

They turned toward the door, where Slater stood practically glowing, his entire presence as loud as his personality. He bounded straight toward the bed.

"Good lord," Haji groaned, tossing his hands up. "Here cos another round of drama."

To save what was left of his sanity, he quietly rose from the couch and tiptoed toward the second exit—the one nobody else had used. With careful steps, he slipped out and closed it softly behind him.

But as he stepped into the hallway, he spotted soone walking away.

Haji frowned, a crease forming between his brows. "That guy..." he murmured, tilting his head. "Where have I seen him before?"

He lingered there, trying to rember the face. The man had definitely peeked into Lola’s room earlier. A second later, realization dawned on him, and unease followed fast.

"That guy... isn’t he one of the maintenance people from the set today?"
