82: Chapter 82: Can’t Get Rid of Edwin Blake 82: Chapter 82: Can’t Get Rid of Edwin Blake Edwin Blake pulled out the chair opposite Ivy River and sat down.
Ivy River glanced icily, but for the kids’ sake, she didn’t say a word.
Seeing Edwin smile at her, she felt uncomfortable and switched her seat with her utensils.
Edwin moved accordingly to follow.
She changed again, and he followed again.
Feeling irritated, Ivy spoke up, “Do you have to follow ?”
“Who’s following you?
I just think the food tastes better from this spot.”
Edwin shalessly said, looking at the exasperated Ivy.
Ivy rolled her eyes, knowing he was doing it on purpose, stopped switching seats, and started shoveling rice into her mouth.
“We don’t welco you.
If you eat here, I won’t be able to eat.”
Fatty made a gagging motion.
Edwin glanced at him indifferently, “Then you can skip eating.
I saw your dical report; you’re a bit overweight.”
“Just one pound overweight!”
“One pound is still weight.
Eat less, or you’ll have too much nutrition and not grow taller.
You don’t want to bla my genes for being short when you grow up.”
Edwin boasted as he devoured his al.
Emmy spoke in a sweet voice, “Grandma Zane, can you make him leave?
I don’t want to eat with a man; it ruins my appetite~”
“You eat with Vincent River, don’t you?
Isn’t he a boy too?”
Emmy covered her nose, “You sll like a man!
Brother slls sweet, not like you.”
Seeing both children disdain him, Edwin felt a bit upset.
He spoke with a sour tone, “This is the charm of a mature man.
You never know if your brother will have it when he grows up.”
“Hmm~ Slly!
I’m sitting farther away!”
Emmy, with her short little legs, sat next to Old Lady Blake.
Seeing this, Edwin couldn’t help but doubt himself.
He sniffed himself but didn’t sll anything!
Where’s this manly sll coming from?
“When you dine with Gale, I haven’t seen you complain about his manly sll?”
“Don’t be so blunt; Emmy dislikes you, not my uncle.
Don’t you know you’re universally disliked?”
Fatty sarcastically remarked.
“Brat, say that again, and I’ll smack your butt!”
Hearing this, Ivy slamd her chopsticks on the table.
It was quite a commotion, and the chopsticks broke.
“Try and hit him.”
With support, Fatty imdiately jumped off the stool, pointing his butt at Edwin.
Provocatively, he said, “Co on, hit it.
I’ve put my butt in front of you, why aren’t you hitting?”
“Your butt is ugly; it’s ruining my appetite.
Move it.”
Edwin lightly patted it and sneaked a glance at Ivy’s dark expression.
He quickly explained, “I just lightly patted it!”
“My butt is all at, bouncy!
How can you speak against your conscience?
You have no heart!”
Fatty grumbled displeasedly.
He glared at Edwin, suddenly slapped him and quickly sat down.
“Vincent River, if you hit again, I guarantee you won’t see your mom afterwards.”
Edwin winced in pain, threatening coldly.
“Is that how you speak to kids?
If you won’t eat, just get out.”
Old Lady Blake scolded Edwin, but inside, she was overjoyed.
Her grandson finally understood.
Her granddaughter-in-law’s return looks promising!
Ivy quickly finished her al, “Fatty, Emmy, are you full?”
“We’ve been full since we saw him.”
Fatty glanced at Edwin, pouting.
Obedient Emmy finished her last bite, wiped her mouth, and jumped down looking at Old Lady Blake:
“Grandma Zane, we’re full and need to head ho now.
We’ll visit you next ti, okay?”
With that, she grabbed Ivy’s hand, ready to leave.
Fatty watched Emmy’s smooth actions and smacked his head.
Gotta hand it to his sister, what a smart move.
“Bye, Grandma Zane, next ti Emmy and I will visit again, love you~”
Holding the hands of the two little ones, Ivy chuckled, “Grandma, we should get going, need to take these two ho, it’s late.”
“Really?”
Edwin didn’t believe Ivy’s excuse.
“What’s it got to do with you whether it’s true or not, eat your al.”
Old Lady Blake scolded Edwin, then changed her expression softening at the sight of Ivy, “Does Grandma need dicine or treatnt?”
Ivy thought for a mont, “Keep drinking the concoction I prescribed last ti.
After another course, I’ll check back.”
“Try not to get angry recently, or the situation might worsen this ti around.”
At this, Ivy couldn’t resist stealing a glance at Edwin, “President Blake, did you hear?”
Unwillingly Edwin said, “I haven’t upset Grandma; it wasn’t my news release.”
“Just keep Miss Sutton away from the residence, and Grandma’s health will improve.
Don’t let her bite people everywhere.”
Ivy spoke with exasperation.
Edwin didn’t argue, bypassing the topic entirely, “Better leave early, or it’ll get dark.”
Ivy rolled her eyes, ignoring him.
She earnestly advised Old Lady Blake, “Don’t get angry; you need to wait for Fatty’s wife to have children.
Then you’ll have five generations under one roof!”
“Alright, Grandma won’t get angry.
Take the children away.”
Old Lady Blake was reluctant; the house was rarely this lively.
Usually, it’s so quiet.
Fatty suddenly ran to her and hugged her, “Grandma Zane, if you miss us, call my mom!”
“Yes, Grandma Zane doesn’t bottle it up; otherwise, it’ll beco a knot in your heart.
Then you’ll have to drink the bitter dicine.”
Emmy lay on her leg in her cute, whimsical manner, very endearing.
Old Lady Blake sighed, gently touching their little heads without a word.
Seeing this, Ivy took the two kids’ hands and headed towards the door.
They couldn’t stay any longer, or she might cry any mont!
“Goodbye, Grandma, rest well.
I won’t stay to be an eyesore.
You probably aren’t annoyed by anyone else now.”
Seeing them leave, Edwin casually bid Old Lady Blake farewell and quickly followed.
As soon as the two little ones got in the car, they let loose.
Emmy exhaled, closed her eyes, and leaned back leisurely.
“Whew, scared to death, almost gave myself away~ Need so sleep~”
“Luckily we’re smart, or Mom would have been handed over to Edwin Blake today, hmph.”
Fatty clutched his chest, relieved, looking out the window.
“Oh, man!”
“What are you screaming about?!”
Emmy was startled, displeasedly opened her eyes to see Fatty looking outside, shocked.
She glanced and quickly rubbed her eyes, “Oh, my!
He’s like a piece of gum, can’t shake him off!”
Ivy was just about to remove her makeup when she saw Edwin’s figure.
She silently put it away, acting nonchalant.
Edwin opened the car door on his own and sat in the passenger seat, “Let’s go.”
