“How do you know you won’t like it if you don’t try?”
“Do I really need to try? Charlotte Yeaton just looks like she’s got that ‘untouchable’ vibe. I don’t even need to try. We’ll never have any chemistry.”
Gale Wiles flat out refused.
Ivy River gave a teasing smile, “Well, I’ll be waiting then. If things don’t turn out the way you said, rember to give a big red envelope. I am your matchmaker, after all.”
“Get lost, aren’t you supposed to be heading back to Seaton? Hurry up and leave, stop being a nuisance, okay!”
Gale couldn’t help but urge Ivy River to leave.
He was afraid if Ivy stayed any longer, he’d lose control and start hitting her.
Ivy River stood up, smiling, and walked over to Jonah Wiles.
“Dad, I’m heading off now, you should focus on my brother and try to get him to secure the Yeaton Family’s eldest daughter.”
Jonah waved his hand confidently, “Don’t worry, I’ll handle it. I’ll keep you updated on the progress.”
Upon hearing this, Ivy turned and gave Gale a mischievous grin, then whispered sothing unknown into Jonah’s ear.
Jonah was excited, “Really?”
Ivy declared, “Really! Have I ever lied to you? It’s even truer than gold, 100% pure, believe ?”
“I believe!”
Jonah was very excited and imdiately began plotting.
Then, Ivy checked his pulse again before leaving.
Gale was filled with the mory of Ivy’s mischievous grin.
He was in a state of panic.
He followed Ivy all the way to the underground parking lot, but no matter what he said, Ivy ignored him.
Provoked, he sat in Ivy’s car and refused to get out no matter what.
Ivy grumbled, “What do you want, Gale? Could you get out? I need to drive ho! It’ll be too late soon; I don’t want to drive at night. I’m driving alone tonight!”

Gale continued to talk nonstop.
Ivy felt quite helpless.
“Are you getting out or not?”

Ivy stated flatly, “Alright, you said it yourself, don’t regret it later.”
“I’m not scared, if you don’t tell today what you said, I absolutely won’t get out of the car.” Gale said, then as if rembering sothing added, “Oh yeah, if you switch cars, I’ll follow you to the other one.”
With that, he blocked all of Ivy’s options.
Ivy was quite helpless, “Seriously, are you sure you want to be like this?”
“I am sure. Today, if you don’t tell what you told Dad, I’ll be very angry!”
Just as Gale finished speaking, the car door opened.
Ivy helplessly shouted towards the outside, “Dad, please get my brother out of here, stop letting him bother , will you? He’s delaying my ti to go ho, making drive at night. Co on!”
Jonah initially didn’t know what was happening.
But when he heard about driving at night.
He got furious.
He imdiately said, “Gale, you have three seconds to get out, three, two…”

Ivy replied with a feigned smile, then spoke to Jonah, “Dad, rember what I told you earlier, I’m going, still need to pick up Noah.”

Once Jonah finished speaking, Ivy drove off.
Gale was left pondering at the back, still trying to figure out what Ivy had said.

The next morning.
At Seaton dical University.
“Ivy River, what are you, a pig? Such strength!”
Edwin Blake’s pained wail echoed from Ivy River’s office.
Ivy frowned at Harry Ross, “Can’t you be useful? What’s the towel in your hand for, can you plug it up? It’s too loud, you heard?”
Harry hesitated to act with the towel.
Edwin’s continued to wail, “Why treat like this, Ivy River, you’re the one delaying treatnt, it’s been so long, why won’t you let go!”
“Could you stop jabbering? Please!”
With that, Ivy took the towel from Harry’s hand and unceremoniously stuffed it into Edwin’s mouth.
While muttering quietly, “You talk too much, why do you have so much to say.”
Then Ivy continued administering acupuncture, her technique swift and precise.
Edwin’s cries were entirely muted.
Harry, standing by, shivered now and then.
Clearly, it was Edwin suffering, but it looked so painful.
As if Harry was experiencing the pain himself.
Half an hour later, Ivy began to remove the needles, then casually said, “Edwin, your condition is relatively easy, not particularly hard to treat. Can you stop wailing? You didn’t scream like this before.”
Edwin was utterly exhausted.
He was completely drained, “Ivy, are you trying to take revenge, just say it.”

Ivy uttered the lie with a straight face.
Edwin: “…”
I guess I have to believe your nonsense then.
He asked helplessly, “How long until this illness is completely gone? You’ve tortured enough, can you stop torturing , please.”
Ivy seriously thought for a mont, then replied, “If you don’t want to suffer, it’s easy. Just continue for another half month.”
“Fine, Harry, make sure I have no work arranged this half month.”
Edwin finished speaking.
Then Ivy heartlessly spoke, “President Blake, might have to say sorry, I’m about to take leave, the length isn’t fixed, could be ten days, might be half a month.”
Edwin was full of question marks, “You’re leaving again? Why do you take leave all the ti?!”
