Old Lady Blake quickly looked over, “It really is Ivy.”
“Could I lie to you? I’ve been keeping an eye on Ivy for years. Not bad. Now she’s back in Seaton with the kids. When do you plan to have her and Edwin remarry?”
“Remarry?” Old Lady Blake snorted lightly, “Now I just hope that Ivy will acknowledge this old lady, not asking for a remarriage.”
Old Lady Hodges didn’t know the specifics.
“Ivy didn’t return ho for Edwin? I thought…”
“No…” Old Lady Blake sighed deeply, “That girl ca back for the kids’ schooling, and since she’s studying traditional Chinese dicine and Seaton has better opportunities, she decided to stay. I want them to remarry, but Ivy doesn’t want to.”
“You should have Edwin pursue her well. Ivy really liked him back then; after all, they were together for three years. There must be so feelings left. Otherwise, how did they have kids?”
Old Lady Hodges comforted.
ntioning the kids made Old Lady Blake’s heart tighten. She said directly, “He can’t win her back. Now, this old lady can just look at her great-grandkids. As for remarriage, it’s up to them. I won’t be around for many more years anyway.”

Old Lady Hodges replied testily, “Alright, stop showing off. You think you’re so great?”
“I am great. If you have the guts, let Alexander give you a grandchild.” Old Lady Blake said with a grin.
Old Lady Hodges waved her hand dismissively, “Boring. Let’s talk more about Ivy. When did that girl beco a doctor? And she’s such an accomplished one! But what shocked most is that she’s the Wiles family’s young lady.”
“Isn’t it? At first, we all thought she was a simple girl. Who knew she had such a significant background?”
Old Lady Blake also didn’t understand Ivy’s thinking.
“I rember we even did a background check. But I can understand; if the Wiles family didn’t want us to know, they have a thousand ways to stop it.”
Old Lady Hodges imdiately understood.
Old Lady Blake nodded, “But Ivy is truly amazing. Later, I have to ask her to check my health, I’ve been feeling uncomfortable lately.”
“I’ll ask her later.”
Old Lady Hodges declined imdiately, “No need, no need. I’ll go directly to the hospital and support my granddaughter-in-law’s work, so the girl won’t feel like she’s not earning. I’d feel guilty.”
“If you really cared, have Ivy co over to check you directly, and give her more money. The hospital takes the major cut anyway, right?”
“No, I want to see a doctor at the hospital. I’ll see if Ivy still recognizes then.”
Old Lady Hodges said proudly.
Old Lady Blake couldn’t help but laugh, “You’re really a mischievous old lady. How could Ivy not recognize you?”

Old Lady Blake paused and then said imdiately, “I didn’t know. I was quite healthy before, just the past few years haven’t been great.”
She still chose to hide it.
Not wanting many to know about Ivy’s dical skills.
Even if Edwin asked, she would pretend not to know.
Old Lady Hodges added, “Indeed, back then Ivy was a love-struck girl, everything revolved around Edwin. Doing laundry, cooking… Sigh, Edwin really wasn’t lucky.”

A car parked steadily outside.
Soren Hodges stepped out of the car and walked quickly into the house.
Seeing Old Lady Hodges, he instinctively breathed a sigh of relief.
He said to Old Lady Blake, “Aunt Alice, I knew my mom would be with you! She didn’t even return ho before stopping by. I waited endlessly at ho!”
Old Lady Blake retorted, “Take her away, quickly. As soon as she ca to my place, I wanted her to leave, but she wouldn’t. Why don’t you pay rent and a caretaking fee? I’ve been watching over your mom.”
Soren chuckled, “Aunt Alice, we’re family. No need to split hairs.”
Old Lady Hodges glared at him, “I’m not going ho. I want to stay at Sister Alice’s. This place feels so hoy. Your place lacks any sense of happiness.”
Soren couldn’t help but laugh, seeing his mischievous mom, he said helplessly:
“How can there be no happiness? Tell us what needs improvent, and we’ll fix it, alright? Besides, Mom, you and Dad built that ho. It’s yours too!”
“Then let Alexander give a grandchild!” Old Lady Hodges looked at her son, growing angrier.
Soren paused, “This, this, Mom, how about I take you ho, and you tell that brat yourself? I can’t persuade your grandson. If I could, it would’ve happened long ago. Why wait till now?”
“Hmph, you’re a poor excuse for a father. For years you haven’t cared about the kid. Let tell you, the Hodges only has this one heir. If he doesn’t have kids, how will you face your father in the underworld!”
Old Lady Hodges scolded, feeling increasingly dissatisfied.
She grabbed the fruit plate from the coffee table and hurled it at him.
Soren didn’t dare dodge, took it head-on, and imdiately grinned, “Mom, don’t worry. I’ve sped things up. That boy will start frantically dating, aiming for marriage next year, and you’ll be a great-grandmother the year after that!”
Old Lady Blake initially felt sorry for him, but hearing this, she couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
“Soren, you have too much faith in Alexander. Don’t you know your son well? He spends all his ti hanging out with Edwin. If he finds a partner, it would be a miracle.”
Old Lady Hodges, hearing her mockery, grew even angrier, “Call Alexander right now! Get him and Edwin back here.”
Soren spoke softly, “Mom, what’s this got to do with Edwin? We were talking about Alexander. Edwin has two kids…”
“You know he has two kids, but did he remarry? The family isn’t complete. Hurry and call. What are you waiting for? Move slowly, and you can leave!”
Old Lady Hodges scolded and cursed.
Seeing her urgency, Soren quickly complied and stepped outside to call Alexander.
Old Lady Blake grumbled, “Don’t involve Edwin in your anger. What if Edwin acts faster than Alexander, and they remarry this year? Maybe next year they’ll have another baby, a girl this ti. Though I prefer girls, boys are fine too!”
Old Lady Hodges rolled her eyes, pouting at her.
Her expression looked as if she were staring at a fool.
