Chapter 217: Revised: Chapter 216 Autism Relapse
“You know that you still…” The latter half was too harsh, and Gale Wiles couldn’t say it.
Alaric Taylor changed the topic, “My dad sent the list, you were the one who answered the call earlier. Now you and I will face the consequences together and go together.”
Gale Wiles glanced at him, “No, you go by yourself. My dad is enjoying his family ti and doesn’t have ti to deal with .”
“Then what call did you answer earlier? Aren’t you also in your thirties? When old n call at night, it’s usually to pressure you into marriage.” Alaric Taylor kept talking.
Gale Wiles interrupted, “Stop. You were abroad before, and my godfather couldn’t catch you. Now that you’re back, it’s ti for you to bear so of the pain. I’ve already t no less than ten girls, through both my dad’s and your dad’s endless resources. They’re exhausting .”
“Now there’s a new one, so it’s better to et them all. By the way…”
Gale Wiles huffed angrily, “What?”
Alaric Taylor shook his head, “Nothing, let’s have a drink. I’m too tired to talk, I’ll go visit my godfather another day.”
Gale Wiles glanced at him and said coldly, “The child is Edwin Blake’s. Ivy separated from him after their divorce and decided to keep the child. She’s very well-behaved. You should visit soti.”
“Of course, I’ll bring a big gift.” Responded Alaric Taylor.
Gale Wiles suddenly said, “Don’t tie yourself to just one tree.”
Alaric Taylor nodded and fell silent.
Indeed, he had been wanting to ask whose child Ivy was carrying.
He didn’t expect Gale Wiles to figure it out.
…..
Monday afternoon.
“Okay, don’t worry. I’m heading back with Fatty and Emmy now! Don’t panic, Madeline, it’s not a big deal. Take Ann ho first.”
Ivy River comforted the tearful Madeline Woods.
Madeline Woods sobbed, “Ann hasn’t had an episode for a long ti, and it suddenly happened today. Do you think it’s my fault?”
“It’s not your fault. I’m packing now. Don’t worry, just comfort Ann for a bit, and tell her she’ll see Fatty and Emmy tonight.”
Madeline Woods replied, “Okay, thank you, Ivy.”
After hanging up, Ivy River imdiately began packing.
She was lying leisurely at ho, while Fatty and Emmy were in the back garden fertilizing with Jonah Wiles.
The past two days had been very comfortable.
Then she received the call from Madeline, saying Ann had an autism episode at preschool.
After packing her things, Ivy River ran to the back garden, “Dad, I need to take the kids ho now.”
Jonah Wiles was stunned, not reacting for a mont.
Ivy River quickly explained, “Madeline’s child has autism and is having an episode now. I need to rush back with the kids.”
“Can’t you stay for dinner? We can get a driver to take you back afterwards.”
Ivy River also felt difficult. She wanted to stay and have dinner with her dad.
But when she thought of that little figure squatting silently, curling up in a corner.
Her heart ached sharply.
“Dad…”
Jonah Wiles waved his hand, “Go ahead, just co back and visit more often.”
Fatty and Emmy heard the commotion and ca bouncing over.
Emmy, with her muddy hands, touched her face ssily and said in a childish voice, “Mommy, what are you doing here?”
Fatty, being more mature, noticed Ivy River’s anxious expression, “What happened?”
Ivy River urged, “Go wash up, we’re about to head ho.”
“Ah! Why!” Emmy was reluctant, she hadn’t dug enough herbs, nor played with the dirt enough!
In Seaton, Grandfather Woods wouldn’t let her play with dirt.
While abroad, there was no dirt to play with.
Here, she could play however she wanted.
Fatty walked straight into the house, “Emmy, don’t throw tantrums. If mommy says we need to go, there must be a reason.”
Ivy River nodded, “Quickly go wash up, I’ll pick so vegetables from grandpa’s garden to take ho. I’ll cook dinner when we get back.”
She didn’t tell the two little ones about Ann’s situation, fearing they’d be upset.
She figured it’s better to explain once they got ho.
Emmy, sulking and unhappy, headed inside to wash up.
Jonah Wiles watched, feeling heartbroken, “If you can’t, just leave them here. I’ll send a driver to take them ho tomorrow.”
Ivy River shook her head, “Madeline’s child gets along really well with these two. When the autism episodes occur, they need Emmy and Fatty around. Otherwise, I’ll go back alone.”
Jonah Wiles sighed deeply, pointing to a corner, “No need to cut any vegetables, your daughter pulled out a lot already.”
Ivy River walked up to look.
She was stunned.
The ground was covered with vegetables…
Small choy, eggplants, lettuces, even cauliflower and peppers.
“Dad, you’re spoiling your granddaughter. These many vegetables, how long will it take for you to finish them! Probably a week.”
Ivy River couldn’t help but tease.
Jonah Wiles waved his hand, “Take all of them with you. We’ll pick fresh ones as we need them.”
Ivy River firmly declined, “No, these vegetables are what Emmy picked, not .”
“Your daughter said you love them!” Jonah Wiles retorted, displeased.
Ivy River: “…”
Such a lovely daughter who loves to get her mom into trouble.
Since she was little, Emmy loved to play with the soil and liked pulling out vegetables.
Fatty, on the other hand, had always been a bit of a clean freak and found such rural chores uninteresting.
He thought it was the most childish behavior.
Two kids, two extres.
Jonah Wiles instructed the bodyguards, “Load all these vegetables into Miss’s car, let her take them all. Fresh, green, organic food is hard to find over there, and it shows Emmy’s filial piety.”
Ivy River fell silent.
It was indeed filial piety…
After packing everything up.
Emmy was still reluctant, “Mommy, can’t we stay a bit longer?”
Ivy River coaxed, “The car trunk is already filled with all the vegetables you picked. I’ll cook dinner for you when we get ho. When it’s Mid-Autumn Festival, we’ll co back and reunite with grandpa.”
Emmy hugged Jonah Wiles’s neck tightly.
Jonah Wiles was also reluctant to let go, “Good girl, go ho with mommy. Mommy needs you and your brother. Would you be okay with your mommy driving ho alone?”
Emmy shook her head, tears welling up in her eyes.
Ivy River coaxed, “Next ti, when we co back, we’ll tell grandpa in advance, and he can prepare a lot of vegetables for you, okay? You can play with dirt and water, and I’ll take you to the back hill to play. There’s grandpa’s ecological park.”
Emmy remained unmoved.
Fatty suddenly said, “Get down, Mommy wouldn’t take us ho for no reason. There must be sothing urgent. If there’s anything we can’t bear, it’s mommy’s reluctance to leave grandpa.”
Upon hearing this, Emmy finally reacted and said, “Grandpa, you can put down now…”
Jonah Wiles, both amused and moved, put her in the car, and couldn’t help but tweak her nose.
“Listen to your mom when you get ho. Next ti you co, I’ll take you to your god-grandfather’s house. They have lots of fun things there, and we’ll explore together, okay?”
Emmy’s eyes lit up.
She held out her pinky.
Jonah Wiles understood imdiately, “Pinky promise, grandpa promises you. Your god-grandfather’s toys are waiting for you.”
Emmy bead, “Great! I’ll take them all when I co, hehe.”
At this mont, in the car, Callum Taylor couldn’t help but sneeze, “Who’s thinking about ?”
