The other man hadn’t expected that Sumr Monroe, a seemingly delicate girl, would actually have so skills. He imdiately stopped underestimating her, pulled out a knife from his coat, and charged at Sumr with force.
Sumr was just about to make a move when two shadowy figures suddenly appeared, tripping the man with a sweeping kick.
"Ah—" A scream accompanied as the man dropped the knife on the ground, his face pinned down by a small foot.
But the force of that foot was terrifyingly strong, and the man felt as if a layer of skin was scraped off his face.
Sumr looked in shock at the two who suddenly appeared, and after recognizing them, her expression relaxed slightly.
"Cece, Bella."
"Miss Monroe." Cece nodded slightly, kicked the knife on the ground away to make sure the man couldn’t retrieve it, and then looked up to ask Sumr, "Are you hurt?"
Sumr shook her head, "No."
Seeing that Sumr had helpers, the other man imdiately scrambled to his feet.
However, this man pulled out a handgun from his coat, directly aiming it at Bella, who was closest to him.
"Bella! Get down!"
Sumr shouted, and Bella imdiately ducked, just as a bullet whizzed by two centiters from her back.
"You’re courting death!" Sumr’s face turned cold as she rushed forward, kicking swiftly at the man’s wrist before he could react.
The man couldn’t handle the force, and the gun flew from his hand.
The next second, Sumr emotionlessly grabbed the man’s wrist, forcefully lifting him, and with a swift movent, flipped him over her shoulder.
"Thud—" A dull sound echoed as the man’s body hit the ground.
The next mont, Sumr rcilessly stepped on the man’s back.
She didn’t just randomly step; she targeted a pressure point.
The point was inherently fragile, needing just a bit of force to cause permanent paralysis.
Sumr’s action was fast and ruthless. A cracking sound was heard, and the man rolled his eyes up before passing out completely.
She was soone who fiercely protected her own.
If you provoke her, she can endure it for a mont, but if you provoke soone around her, she cannot and will not endure it.
After ensuring the man wouldn’t wake up again, Sumr stepped towards the man under Bella’s foot, grabbed his collar, her eyes icy like sharp blades, and asked in a cold voice, "Tell , who sent you? Do you have any other accomplices?"
The man had witnessed Sumr’s actions the whole ti; her speed was beyond what they could handle, coupled with her precise attack moves... even he, a professional assassin, couldn’t match them.
He was terrified, his face pale, stamring, "W-Who exactly are you..."
"You’re not in a position to ask questions. Who sent you, speak!"
The man gave Sumr a deep look, then resolutely bit his teeth.
Sumr imdiately sensed sothing wrong and quickly moved to lift the man’s jaw.
But she was a second too slow; blood foad from the man’s mouth as he collapsed to the ground, body convulsing.
In a mont, the man no longer moved.
Cece stepped forward, flicked his breath, and then shook his head at Sumr, "He’s gone."
Sumr’s eyebrows knitted slowly as she looked up across the street.
Only to see a black business car speeding away.
Cece hurriedly moved to chase after it, but Sumr imdiately tugged on Cece’s sleeve and said, "We can’t catch it. I got the license plate number; go and check that car."
"Understood." Cece nodded, then walked over to the man whose back Sumr had stepped on, glancing back at Sumr, "It’s fine if that one died. There’s still this one."
