Chapter 199: Chapter 199: THE PRICE SHE PAID

Several minutes later.

Erica’s hand continued to tremble despite being held by her husband’s.

She still felt that everything was a dream and whatever was happening, it was absolutely a dream. And one she didn’t dare want to believe in.

A while ago, her dream was fulfilled. The person she wanted to see, indeed, appeared, but she erged like a different person and honestly, until now, her heart hadn’t settled at all.

Standing in front of them was Diamond, who had finally co out of her seclusion.

Erica still rembered the last ti she saw Diamond. It was after the wedding when the team that went to Rozinya left for the airport.

Erica still rembered her domineering words that evening.

"We are all in a panic and in a hurry. And so am I. I didn’t co all the way to watch Zara die. I can never allow such a thing to happen. And since fate lets us et, then I will do anything in my power to make sure that she cos out alive. Not only this ti but until she completely gets cured of this curse!" she solemnly declared, a hint of promise and dedication in her tone as she looked at her and her husband. "Even if I have to pay a price. I will do so. Because that’s the reason why I am here!"

After saying such words, Diamond went into seclusion and hasn’t appeared yet.

And now that Erica was seeing Diamond again, her heart felt heavy as she looked at this stranger who left her ho to help a poor soul.

The pressure on her must have been so heavy. Otherwise, why did such a pretty girl, whom she last saw with a head full of hair so black like a raven, erge with a head full of silver hair?

Wasn’t that how their Zara woke up one day?

That was the beginning of that damn curse.

Her hair mysteriously turned white and then her body started failing until she reached the point she was today.

And here they were, witnessing this rciful soul who had done nothing to harm them but only did good, getting affected by their problems.

Was this truly the right thing for them to do?

Erica couldn’t help but feel guilty as she looked at the young lady standing in front of them.

She wanted to urge the other to stop so badly and yet at the sa ti, she knew that she couldn’t do such a thing.

She was selfish and greedy.

For the sake of her family, and to get her granddaughter back, she was willing to beco a villain.

Besides, didn’t Diamond promise herself that she was willing to pay any price to save Zara?

Since it was already like that, rather than feeling guilty for what kind of price Diamond must have paid, she might as well compensate the other more than once this whole thing was done.

With her conscience slowly getting cleared, Erica finally found herself in the mood to listen to whatever Diamond had to say.

After all, she wouldn’t leave her seclusion without anything tangible. That would be cruel of them.

Diamond indeed had sothing to say, and there was no ti for her to explain to these people what exactly was going on. There was no ti for that.

Besides, it wasn’t like she owed them any explanation. They were all getting what they needed at this point.

"I need a team of strong n, probably twenty, to follow

where the book is. At the sa ti, those with connections call the managent of the Kuville Museum and have them clear the place. I don’t care how you do it, but in the next two hours, the place should be empty. Otherwise, the consequences would be deadly!" and as soon as she opened her mouth, she dropped another bomb without any care of what these people might think.

The Hansley’s listening to that, couldn’t help but look at each other but no one dared question Diamond as to why she wanted this done.

Rather, they took out their phones and started making calls. In a matter of minutes, the issue was resolved, and Diamond smiled gratefully at them.

"Get ready, we are going!" as soon as the issue was solved, Diamond commanded as she started walking out of the house.

Seeing her leaving, the group of assembled n followed her hurriedly.

Outside, Diamond gave stern instructions to the twenty n who had been picked.

"Your job is to keep the museum’s staff away from where I am going. I don’t want anyone near where I will be. Even if you hear anything, don’t leave your post. The mont you do, I will not be able to save you. So don’t try to play a hero. You will only be sacrificed!" she sternly warned them before getting into the car.

As for the family mbers, they weren’t allowed to enter anywhere the museum. They might follow, but entering the building, she warned them against doing that.

With everyone on the road, Diamond had her eyes closed, making those with her wonder what was going on but never dared to ask.

Who dared to disturb her now?

After driving for nearly two hours, the entourage arrived at the museum.

When they arrived, there were people outside, complaining. After being kindly escorted outside during their tour, how could they not make a fuss?

However, when they saw the Hansleys logo on the cars that just arrived alongside the nurous guards that guarded the entourage, all noise died down.

Who didn’t know the richest family in Kuville City?

"What are they here for?"

"I can’t believe that I am seeing them here!"

"I barely see them in one place like this. Sothing must be going on!"

"Can they be here to look at the exhibition?"

"Huh, with grim expressions like that? You think that they are here to play?"

"Then why are they here?"

"You ask ? Then who should I ask?"

The people, being gossipy and curious by nature, started whispering to each other as they watched the Hansleys alighting from the cars.
