Chapter 121: Chapter 121: BIRTHDAY BANQUET 5

The arrival of Zara startled a lot of people and made them wonder and curious as to what was going on. Unfortunately, no one was free to answer their questions.

Zara had her eyes on her parents, so as soon as she approached them, she reluctantly let go of her grandparents’ hands before walking to her parents as fast as she could, before being enveloped in a familiar embrace.

The Hansleys watched this spectacular mont, all sorts of emotions swirling in them. The guests were more confused, however, what could they do when by asking they would be prying into another family’s business?

With the arrival of Zara, the banquet officially started.

Sitting in between her parents, Zara watched with a smile as her sister did her best to officiate the first half of the banquet. This sister of hers had laughed at her earlier and to get back at her, she had tricked her into doing this.

Having her favorite star, Shea, emceeing for her, what more could she ask for?

Watching from all corners of the world, the viewers were the ones with the greatest shock.

All sorts of speculations and comnts were filling the barrage, making Emma shake her head helplessly. No matter how much they called out to her, she refused to budge and left them to their devices.

[I should have known. She is not an ambassador after all.]

[Haha, she is the dynasty princess. No wonder why .... Alas.]

[My head is aching already!]

[I am grateful though, that she revealed her identity and those people who loved talking nonsense. Does your head hurt?]

[Hahaha, I can’t believe that my idol was soone I used to know.]

[I have been searching for what she is wearing. Guys, @VERTHA just sent a post and tagged @PRINCESS.]

[I just saw the post guys. Damn, she is wearing VERTAH from head to toe. How much is that?]

[Don’t check the prices, you will die and beco a vengeful ghost.]

anwhile, at the hall, Lena was holding the mic as she addressed the guests tearfully, very emotionally about everything, "Thank you, everyone, for coming on such short notice. I am grateful that you ca in great numbers to co and celebrate my daughter’s birthday. It’s been fifteen years since the last banquet was held for her."

"To be here today with her by my side, and everyone in attendance to wish her a happy birthday, I feel grateful to everyone. I honestly never thought that I would see myself and everyone else here on such a day. It’s such a miraculous day, a day that I want to rember forever."

Although the majority of the guests and viewers didn’t understand what she was talking about, they had an inkling that there was sothing major happening behind the scenes and it was about Zara.

"I won’t talk about anything sad and upsetting except to wish you, my baby girl, a happy birthday. I wish you many more years to co, filled with happiness and, above all, good health. Stay healthy, my baby. Mommy will be praying for you, always!"

After Lena’s speech, Cade took the mic. As a man of few words, he didn’t say much except to wish Zara a happy birthday, but the sparkle in his eyes was enough to make Zara beco teary. She understood their greatest wish as well, and she wished the sa for herself.

The segnt was the longest one, as every Hansley mber stood up to say sothing except for the kids who didn’t have a closer relationship with Zara.

When that segnt ended, it was ti to cut the cake. Everything was moving orderly and a bit faster.

Zara was still a patient, one who couldn’t stay long without her mask on and had to eat and take a nap. If they delayed and beca willful, it was Zara who would suffer.

The cake was brought inside and looking at the six-tier cake with gold-encrusted layers, so of the guests started wondering if these people had really used gold to decorate the cake.

Weren’t they being wistful?

But recalling how the Hansleys were the richest in Kuville city, they swallowed their thoughts.

With the arrival of the cake, Zara once again stood on her feet and with her parents’ help, they slowly made their way to the front, where the enormous cake waited for her.

[Happy birthday to you ...]

The birthday song started, and every guest joined in the fun. Zara stood next to the cake, in between her parents, with the knife in her father’s hand. Her hand was shaking, maybe from nervousness or excitent, so she couldn’t hold it.

When the song ended, Zara, with the help of her parents, made the first cut and a piece of cake was taken out.

Seeing the cake on the plate, she drooled, looking at it. ’How long had it been since I ate cake?’

No one could understand the agony of not being able to eat cream chocolate and other delicious foods out there. This sickness, no, this curse, had really done her good.

If she ever caught the bastard who did that to her, she swore to never forgive that person, never!

With the first piece of cake, Zara took just a bite despite being greedy for the cake. She wasn’t sure what the cake would do to her, so she was very careful. She didn’t want to test or experint with her life.

However, after taking a bite, she couldn’t help but lick her lips with satisfaction. The cake was not only delicious; it was soft, not too sweet or sour. And it tasted like the food she eats at ho. As in, the ingredients seed to co from one place, which ant that the cake was safe to eat.

Upon deducing that, the way she looked at her mother said it all.

"You can eat it as slowly as you can. Mommy, have your back!" Lena cheerfully said, seeing how her daughter was happy after getting it.

How could she torture her daughter on her day?

After taking the bite, Zara gave the cake to her parents next before going back to the table where she shared the cake with her grandparents.

Under everyone’s watch, she fed every single family mber, with joy being the only emotion they saw on her face.

It wasn’t sothing spectacular, however, watching the whole family sharing one piece of cake. The scene was quite morable.

With the cake cut and shared, the next segnt was to give gifts. Unlike where guests hand over gifts when they arrive at the celebrant, the Hansleys didn’t do that. Rather, the guests handed the gifts to soone in charge when they arrived, only for the gifts to be forwarded to the celebrant during the segnts.

Looking at the gifts that had been given to her, although she didn’t know who gave what and why, she felt very grateful. Apart from her family in these past years, she hadn’t received anything from other people.

Not knowing what was in there, she looked very happy and couldn’t wait to see the gifts.
