It didn't help that the other party remained nonplussed. Flustered, he roared, "You rascal! If you think you have what it takes, then fight head-on! If you win against , then I will say nothing more!"
He at least had to challenge the kid. Admitting defeat without putting up a fight was not his style at all.
Granted, the Yu Family Patriarch felt that the young man was a formidable opponent, but so what? He wasn't one to cower in the face of death. He would rather die fighting than yield.
Cheng Yan raised his eyebrows in mild surprise. "I am not an array master, so why should I go up against you? It's enough that you are incapable of hurting . I'm not interested in wasting my energy on sothing unnecessary."
He was speaking the truth, but the words only angered the Yu Family Patriarch even more.
How could this kid not be an array master? How could he have blocked his attack, then?
The boy must be feigning ignorance. How arrogant!
"Impossible," the Yu Family Patriarch snorted. "If you are not an array master, why would my attack suddenly disperse? It must have been your doing! Well? It looks like you don't have the guts to face , after all, you coward!"
He fixed a nacing glare at Cheng Yan.
Still, Cheng Yan did not move from his spot. He simply closed his eyes and took a relaxing breath. By all appearances, it did not seem like he had the slightest intention of attacking.
The Yu Family Patriarch was livid. Once again, he took out the jade pendant and tossed it high in the air.
In the next second, massive waves of energy burst out from the artifact.
An array started to form in the space above them. A terrifying cacophony of dragon and tiger roars filled the air as the Eight Trigrams spun.
Then, without warning, all the energy rushed toward Cheng Yan at an alarming speed.
But just as it was about to reach him, its force suddenly waned. It fanned out and vanished smoothly into thin air, like a stream disappearing into the ocean.
The jade pendant was still spinning above them.
Aside from that, nothing else was left.
Not a single trace of the array could be found.

The Yu Family Patriarch was stunned speechless. He couldn't help but take a step back, the look of fear creeping into his eyes. He already had a rough guess about the situation.

That old man, Yu was really despicable. After realizing that he couldn't beat the young man, he quickly changed lanes and tried to befriend him.
The Xiao Family Patriarch was reminded yet again why he could never stand the Yu family.
He could barely stomach the Yu Family Patriarch's face even now. If it hadn't been for the fact that his Xiao Bing was also entangled in this ss, he would never have had anything to do with the Yu family.
The entire Yu family was the living embodint of shalessness!
He made a ntal note to stay away from those people in the future, lest the Xiao family children were led astray.
With this in mind, the Xiao Family Patriarch cleared his throat and said, "Master Yu, have you forgotten our purpose for coming here?" His eyes widened with aning.
Even as they spoke, their children were still tied up and trapped. Was the Yu Family Patriarch planning to abandon them?
Sure enough, the man acted like he heard nothing. He didn't even glance away from Cheng Yan, and instead flashed him a smile.

This young man was nothing short of amazing. Even he, the family head, could not see through Cheng Yan nor predict his moves.
He was a rare talent, indeed! If the Yu Family Patriarch could sohow lure the young man to his side, he knew that the Yu family's array formation would advance to unimaginable heights.
