“Of course.” Cheng Wei smiled. “Why don’t I add you to my contacts so we can easily contact each other in the future?”

The two imdiately added each other as friends.

“Speaking of Yao Tang, may I ask why you hate her so much?” Yao Ran furrowed her eyebrows.

The two of them were neither relatives nor friends. In fact, they didn’t even share a common circle. Cheng Wei was the oldest daughter of the Cheng Familyand was years apart from them. There was no reason for their paths to have crossed.

Moreover, Yao Ran still didn’t know whether she should treat this woman as an ally or as a threat.

Seeing her puzzled gaze, Cheng Wei drumd her fingers onto the table.

“You don’t know this, but this Yao Tang had been trying to rub shoulders with the Cheng Family. I just couldn’t stand her arrogant appearance and wanted to kick her down a notch. She may appear cold, but her heart is as filthy as her mind.”

“How can she be worthy of the Cheng Family’s attention?” Yao Ran scoffed. “She’s just a country bumpkin.”

“Of course. She is not like you.” Cheng Wei’s eyes glittered. “You’re the true daughter of the Yao Family, not that country bumpkin who had just moved here a few months ago. There’s no way she’s worthy of our attention.”

It seed that Yao Ran still wanted to believe that she was the rightful daughter of the Yao Family. Plus, she seed to look down on people who had been born in unfortunate circumstances, probably too insecure about her own true identity.

Her lips twitched.

“Yes, only a lady from a noble family should be qualified to enter the Cheng family.” Yao Ran nodded eagerly.

Now that Cheng Wei seed trustworthy, Yao Rannaturally wanted to chat with her. As long as she could enter her good graces, then she could easily get in touch with the Cheng Family.

She was now one step closer to becoming the new Mrs. Cheng.

However, these types of connections could only take her so far. She shouldn’t make herself too obvious.

She needed to be more practical.

“Here’s your coffee.”

The waiter brought the two cups and placed them on the table, before turning back.

Yao Ran smiled shyly as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. “I have actually been feeling guilty about the incident that had taken place the other day,” she explained. “You’re Young Master Cheng’s sister. I was wondering if you could get him to et so I can apologize?”

Her voice was very soft, but her eyes sparkled with ambition.

Cheng Wei’s smile widened, reaching out to pat her hand.

She obviously knew what kind of trick this young girl wanted to play. After all, she wasn’t part of the Cheng Family for nothing. She knew how to sift through gold diggers and opportunists. Yao Ranmay have been raised by a noble family, but she still wasn’t of noble blood.

How ridiculous!

However, as she still needed her, Cheng Wei simply had to be patient.

After all, all she needed was to get rid of Yao Tang and she was finished.

“Let’s do it tomorrow.” She smiled. “I’ll see if my brother’s free, and I’ll contact you then.”

The older woman waved at the waiter. “The bill, please.”

“Of course.” The waiter walked up to them and read the receipt. “The total is 325 yuan. Would you like to pay by cash or card?”

Before Cheng Wei could give hers, Yao Ranstopped her. “Miss Cheng, please let do it.”

“Please, call Weiwei. Besides, I’m the one who invited you.” Cheng Wei took out the bank card from her bag and handed it to the waiter. “I should be the one paying the bill.”

The waiter accepted the card from her hand and swiped it.

“That’s it. I’ll try to invite Brother Cheng Zhou out tomorrow afternoon. You have to dress nicely when the ti cos, all right?” Cheng Weishot her a wink before waving goodbye at her.

“I should go.” Yao Ran stood up. “Let’s contact each other when we should et. Thank you,, Weiwei.”

“Thank you as well.” Cheng Wei walked out of the shop with a smile.

However, as soon as the car door closed behind her, her expression changed imdiately. Taking out a wet towel, she dabbed it on the spot where she had touched Yao Ran and threw it into the trash can.

“Ergh.” She sneered in disgust before turning to the driver. “Let’s head back to the hotel.”

“Of course, Miss.”

..

Cheng Wei waited from a distance the next day. She was standing by the entrance of Tainlun Hotel, scanning her surroundings.

“Brother Cheng, you’re here!”

Seeing Cheng Zhou step out of the car, she went over to greet him. “I’ll bring you to our private room.”
