Chapter 881: Chapter 878: Your Ugly Face Hurt My Eyes (Part 2)
"Sixth Master, do you really trust this Noah? I feel like he’s not reliable," Brandon Potter remarked after observing Noah over the past few days.
"Noah was the first to meet Joanna because of his brother. Since his brother also fell in love with Joanna, Noah stepped back to let his brother and Joanna be together.
His brother was killed by Night Owl, and Noah has always wanted revenge. He even fell out with Joanna over it back then. So, Noah is more reliable than the other guys."
Brandon said, "Well, I don’t think that’s love. Otherwise, how could you let someone else have the woman you love?"
Sabrina Conner stated, "The bonds between men are something you women don’t understand!"
"Little kid, get lost, what do you know."
"How can I not know? This is called brotherly love, which is obviously deeper than romantic love!"
"Then ask Sixth Master if he’d be willing to let someone else have Madam?"
Sabrina defended Adrian Desmond, "Sixth Master only has a sister, where would he have a brother."
"Hypothetically, do you get it?"
"Definitely not!"
The argument between Brandon and Sabrina was one Adrian Desmond intended not to join, but this once, he responded.
Brandon looked smug, raising his chin and looking down his nose at Sabrina, "See? Haha, that’s true love!
If it’s true love, how could you hand it over to someone else!"
Brandon imitated Sabrina’s usual demeanor, gazing at Adrian with admiration and said, "Sixth Master, you’re awesome, that’s a real man! The woman you love should obviously be in your own hands, giving her happiness!"
"Tch!"
Marion interjected, "Stop arguing, focus! We’re still being held at gunpoint!"
Brandon and Sabrina finally quieted down.
The small island opposite was quiet, but the people in the bunker were secretly watching them, ready to open fire if they made any rash moves.
Sabrina commented, "Sixth Master, what if Mercer, who likes men, takes a fancy to you, what would we do then?"
Only Sabrina dared to make such a joke, Brandon smacked the back of her head and scolded,
"Keep talking nonsense and I’ll sew your mouth shut!"
"What’s wrong with what I said? I’m not mute!"
"He’s coming!" Marion had been watching Sudava Island intently, observing every move, and was the first to notice Noah on the speedboat. The others went silent and watched Noah board the boat.
The speedboat stopped beside the Great White Shark, and it was hauled onboard. Noah came over to Adrian and said, "I talked to Mercer, he’s waiting for you on the island."
"Hmm."
Adrian didn’t sail the Great White Shark there; they left some crew on the ship and took a speedboat to Sudava Island.
...
Sudava Island was quite similar to the Unnamed Island, with a tall wall enclosing a fortified town, and all the island’s inhabitants lived inside.
When Adrian and his party entered, they thought they’d arrived in a small town in Amwan. There was even a market, which was quite rare for chaotic and impoverished Kalare.
Although he didn’t approve of Mekar’s orientation, seeing the island managed so well made Adrian regard Mekar with a bit more appreciation.
"Sixth Master, this way please!"
A young handsome man led the way, with Adrian’s group following. Passing through the bustling market, they arrived at Mekar’s residence.
Mekar’s residence was much quieter, and the lack of women there was striking, with only young men, each having an attractive face.
This only confirmed the rumors about Mekar’s preference for men.
Seeing those handsome men at the residence, Brandon Potter looked worriedly at their Sixth Master, thinking that none of the men here could match the looks of their Sixth Master.
If Mekar took a fancy to Sixth Master and used it as leverage in their negotiations, would Sixth Master have to make such a sacrifice?
"Boss, I brought the guests."
They removed their shoes and entered.
The reception hall had a high dome and was predominantly gold, giving a feeling of splendid opulence, with Persian carpets, vibrant oil paintings on the walls, and furnishings in the Euro-style Aurinnois palace style.
Mekar sat gracefully, with a youthful, handsome face sporting a gentle, almost imperceptible smile, scrutinizing them.
Noah introduced, "Mekar, this is Sixth Master, whom I mentioned to you earlier. Sixth Master, this is Mekar."
"Hello!" Adrian greeted.
Mekar frowned, waved his hand, and told Noah, "You, step aside. Your ugly face is hurting my eyes!"
"Can’t appreciate beauty! How am I ugly? It’s clearly full of masculine charm!"
The two seemed well-acquainted, and Noah wasn’t offended, obediently standing behind Mekar, chuckling, "He has this annoying habit of liking beautiful things! Especially beautiful men."
As he said this, Noah looked at Adrian with a meaningful gaze.
Brandon: ...
Adrian joked, "My face doesn’t need to stand behind you for our business talk, right?"
Mekar laughed, "No! You look great, seeing you has brightened my mood."
Everyone has their quirks, and so does Adrian. Although he found the idea of a man loving another man disgusting, he could still tolerate it.
But, if Mekar dared to target him, Adrian would not stand for it.
"Sixth Master, please sit."
Mekar’s smile grew broader as he gazed at Adrian’s face. Brandon clearly sensed his enthusiasm and wanted to shield Adrian from Mekar’s blatantly obvious gaze.
Kalare pirates are terrifying, women are frightening, and so are men.
