Chapter 852: Chapter 859: Borrowing Money to Support My 18 Wives

"I was wrong, don’t be angry. I won’t joke like this again, okay?..." Sienna Johnson pouted, disregarding her pride, just to stop this man.

"..."

"You absolutely can’t go find her. If you do, our whole plan will be ruined. I’m really curious about who the person is that doesn’t even dare to show their voice, and thought to use Melanie Carpenter to poison you."

Adrian Desmond sat back down, seemingly deciding not to confront Melanie Carpenter. Sienna Johnson also sat beside him, placing his hand on her belly.

"Son, your daddy is angry with mommy. Please plead for me."

"..."

"Daddy is so fierce, his face is so scary, mommy is scared!"

Adrian Desmond couldn’t help but laugh, "When were you ever afraid of me?"

"Are you not angry anymore?" she followed with a laugh. Adrian looked at her smile, but his expression turned serious as he warned her harshly, "Don’t ever joke about this kind of thing again."

"Okay, I won’t, I won’t. Let’s continue listening to the recording..."

Adrian restarted the recording, and Sienna Johnson listened carefully, not missing a single word. Even though the voice had been altered, it still gave Sienna a sense of familiarity.

"Adrian, have you heard this voice anywhere before?"

"This voice obviously has been altered; can you still make out the original voice?"

"It’s an intuition; the voice feels familiar. Do you think it could be someone we know?"

The recording had ended, and Sienna Johnson recalled the voice in her mind. Despite the alteration, she felt she surely knew this person.

Adrian Desmond said, "It’s not surprising if it’s an acquaintance. Why would a stranger poison me without any grievances?"

It seemed Adrian Desmond had been tricked by a familiar person, but thankfully he was the one poisoned. If Sienna Johnson were poisoned, Adrian felt he would go insane.

"We’ll have the answer tomorrow."

Sienna Johnson thought of Melanie Carpenter, smirking slightly, "How stupid can she be, believing there’s a drug that could make a man fall in love with her?"

"Luckily she’s stupid. If she were more cunning, we might not have discovered it so quickly."

"True."

Adrian Desmond pulled Sienna Johnson into his arms, touched her hand, and said in a voice tinged with sorrow, "Sienna, from now on, aside from you, I won’t trust anyone else."

"No need to be so pessimistic, but one should not have intentions to harm others, yet must guard against harm..." Sienna Johnson said, yawning as she did.

Adrian Desmond didn’t say much more, picked her up, and left the study, heading towards their living quarters.

Their living quarters were located at the center of Desmond Manor, indicating they were the owners of the house.

Desmond Manor was comprised of several independent courtyard houses; the place where Sienna Johnson resided was a large courtyard house, and their main building was three stories high, with a window in the attic that offered a stunning view of the back garden and Mirror Lake.

The study was on the second floor of the main building, and downstairs was where they lived.

When Adrian Desmond carried Sienna Johnson down from upstairs, she was already fast asleep.

He gently laid her on the bed, removing her clothes and shoes. She remained asleep throughout, allowing him to handle her as he pleased.

"Sleep so soundly, you wouldn’t even know if you were sold," he whispered to himself.

...

The next morning, Sienna Johnson finished breakfast, and Vivian Abbey came over to say goodbye, but Brett Jacobs, upon hearing the news, blocked her from leaving.

"You can’t go back!" Brett Jacobs stopped her.

Adrian Desmond had too many things to handle; he couldn’t possibly accompany Vivian Abbey back to Sileria City.

Marriage is one of those things where the longer you wait, the more complicated it gets, especially since Vivian Abbey suggested breaking up. If she goes back, what if she ends up on a blind date and gets married?

Sienna Johnson rested her chin, watching the two. Brett Jacobs, usually so solemn, finally had a lively expression.

Vivian Abbey was dressed in a mustard green business suit, white shallow work shoes, her hair tied up, looking competent and mature.

Such a woman, if not burdened by family, would Brett Jacobs even have a chance?

"Brett Jacobs, Vivian doesn’t want to be involved with you anymore, so what are you doing? Thinking in Abyanabad, without anyone to back Vivian up, you can do whatever you want?"

Right off the bat, Sienna Johnson pinned a big accusation on Brett Jacobs, who naturally said he dared not.
