Chapter 804: Chapter 830: I Avenged You (2)

Sabrina Conner stood up for Adrian Desmond, thinking, what kind of woman is this? So selfish, so aggressive, not gentle at all.

Sienna Johnson’s face fell immediately, and she replied rudely, "Why should I save this chicken for a man who wouldn’t hesitate to risk his own life for his uncle, even ignoring his pregnant wife?"

Sabrina responded sharply, "So you’d be satisfied if he abandoned his own family for you?"

"Yes, that’s exactly what I think."

"You woman..." Sabrina glared at the woman in front of her, not expecting her to be so brazenly honest about her ugly and dirty heart.

"Selfish!"

"Who isn’t selfish!"

Sabrina: ...

"Lucas, have you finished eating? If you’re done, let’s go." Sienna said to Lucas Robertson, Lucas swallowed the compressed biscuit in his mouth, took a sip of water, packed his things, and prepared to leave.

Everything was on Lucas, and Sienna’s hands were empty.

The two of them once again left everyone behind and set off on their own.

"Mila, look at this woman, she’s even worse than Brandon Potter. How did Brandon, an old woman, get married?"

"..."

"Ouch, who kicked me?" Sabrina got kicked and cursed, turning around to see it was Sixth Master, she shriveled up, quickly explaining, "Sixth Master, it’s you, are you hungry? I have some beef here."

"You folks stick with Madam, I have something to do and need to return to Woodenshade Village!" Adrian Desmond’s face was expressionless, with a murderous intent in his eyes.

"Sixth Master, why are you going back to Woodenshade Village?"

"For revenge!"

...

Lucas was leading the way, clearing the path ahead, with Sienna following behind him in silence, not saying a word.

"Did you have a quarrel?" Lucas asked.

"Yes."

"What about?"

"He thought I slept with Xavier Young."

Lucas turned his head to look at her, after walking for a long time, there were beads of sweat on her forehead, and her engrossed face was shrouded in a layer of sadness.

"So did you?"

Sienna pressed her lips tight, didn’t answer, only stared ahead on the path, steadfastly and persistently moving forward.

"Women should be like water, like Kiki; men are like steel, strong and brave. If a woman is also like steel, being with a man will only lead to hurt."

Perhaps sensing her low spirits, Lucas surprisingly said a lot.

"Sixth Master, where are you going?" Sabrina shouted loudly.

Sienna paused slightly, thinking Adrian might be coming after her, but she didn’t hear his footsteps approaching her. She couldn’t help but look back and saw Adrian walking away in the opposite direction, his black figure resolute, his outline cold and hard.

Lucas also stopped, looked at them not following, incredulously said, "Adrian actually left you?"

The pain in her foot was severe, each step felt like walking on a knife’s edge, the wound ached sharply, and that pain slowly spread to her heart.

Sienna passed Lucas, continued to walk, her pace much faster, as if eager to get out of this forest.

...

On the fourth day, the sky was overcast, and it started to rain again.

In the jungle, there’s particularly a lot of rain, Sienna sat on a stone, holding a black umbrella, which was given by a young man under Adrian’s command.

The rain hit the leaves, fell down, and formed small streams on the ground, flowing into a lake ahead.

Adrian looked at Sienna from a distance, feeling her presence and warmth, his eyes and heart at this moment couldn’t leave this woman, he quietly watched the woman holding the umbrella through the rain screen.

"Sixth Master, you’ve come back?" Sabrina said happily.

Except for Sienna who had an umbrella, everyone else was soaked like drenched rats, including Adrian, who slowly and steadily walked towards her, standing in front of her, blocking her view.

The scenery in Sienna’s eyes was blocked by a man dripping wet, she lifted her head, saw Adrian, and her eyes showed surprise and shock, but that bright clear gaze quickly dimmed like fireworks.

Adrian saw her move her lips, wanting to say something, but in the end, said nothing.

"I went to find Xavier Young." He said.

"..."

"But he’s already dead!" Adrian’s tone carried regret, "I avenged you..."

Sienna didn’t ask him how he avenged her, that wasn’t important, the important thing was the chasm between their hearts that couldn’t be crossed.

He pinched her chin, scrutinizing her face, under the umbrella her face was clean, he took out an ointment from his pocket, handed it to Sienna, "Here, for your face!"

"Thank you." Sienna finally spoke.

"You’re welcome."

Sienna took the ointment but didn’t apply it on her face, just sat on the big stone, her eyes blankly staring at the lake in the distance.

Raindrops fell on the lake’s surface, creating ripples one after another.

"It’s the rainy season here, there’s particularly a lot of rain, sometimes it lasts a month, sometimes half a year... it could also clear up as soon as tomorrow." He said while looking at her profile.

"Why don’t you apply it?"

"I’m pregnant, can’t use medicine casually."

"I asked the doctor, this one is safe for pregnant women."

He took the ointment from her hand, and personally applied it to the wounds on her face, which were actually much better, except for the wound around her eye, Adrian still carefully applied it.

Her black hair gently floated in the wind, brushing against his nose, tickling lightly. He couldn’t help but reach out, and her strands slid through his fingers.

"We should be able to get out of this forest by tomorrow evening, and the day after tomorrow we can go home."
