Chapter 791: Chapter 823: The Willful Sixth Master
On one side is the lover, on the other side is family, Maxwell Young’s predicament is so similar to his, Adrian Desmond looked at the bewildered Maxwell Young and suddenly became very curious about what his choice would be.
"Maxwell Young, you’re not human, you’re not human!" The silent Maxwell Young finally broke the woman’s last thread of endurance, and she suddenly exploded.
"..."
"In your heart, only your brother matters, compared to him, Joy and I are nothing. If your brother is so important, why don’t you go with him?"
"Sherry, it’s not like that. If Xavier knew you and Joy were being held by someone, he would definitely release them and save you."
Xavier Young looked at his wife, whose eyes were full of pain. She was both crying and laughing, as if mad.
"Then call him, call Xavier Young and tell him to release someone else’s wife! If he doesn’t let that woman go, her husband will harm Joy."
"Calling won’t help, I have to persuade him slowly. You know Xavier’s temper."
"Maxwell Young, have you given up on us?" Her husband had already made his choice, abandoning her and their son.
"How could I? I would never give up on you."
"What if your brother doesn’t let her go?"
"I’ll talk to him properly, he’ll let her go..." Maxwell Young’s voice was clearly lacking confidence.
Sherry looked at her husband and suddenly felt that the man she shared her bed with had become a terrifying stranger; his love was selfless in its selfishness, selfless to his brother, selfish to them.
"Joy, stop crying."
Joy, on the verge of understanding, seemed to vaguely know something bad was about to happen, "Mom, Joy won’t cry. You don’t cry either..."
Sabrina Conner looked at the family crying together and suddenly felt he was a terrible villain, he was just scaring them is all.
"Looks like your husband made his choice," Adrian Desmond said.
Adrian Desmond had been watching Sherry closely, and it made her heart race with fear; she was just an ordinary woman who owned a tea shop, yet she found herself caught in such a situation.
"If my son is gone, I won’t live either!"
Sherry picked up her son and walked towards Sabrina Conner, saying, "Let’s go, please find something for my son to eat. He’s starving."
"Huh?" Sabrina Conner, who played the villain role, suddenly didn’t know how to carry the plot forward.
"Let’s go, I’ll take you," Barnes Smythe interjected.
"Joy, say thank you to Uncle."
"Thank you, Uncle."
"You’re welcome."
Barnes Smythe and Sabrina Conner exchanged glances, feeling that the plot was a bit off; the woman seemed to have suddenly changed into a different person.
...
Lunchtime had passed, and with over fifty men, no amount of food was enough. Marion was still at Sixth Master’s place, and none of them were good at cooking.
Barnes Smythe called over Brandon Potter, but his cooking skills were terrible, so he ended up giving the kids a cake, which managed to get them through.
Sabrina Conner looked at the woman sitting not far away, using a simple folding fan to fan Joy, and couldn’t help but ask,
"Sister Alyssa, what’s the situation? Why did that woman suddenly change as if she’s a different person? Don’t you know, on the way we kidnapped her, she kept up the image of a frail, helpless woman, but now suddenly she seems..."
Brandon Potter glanced at Sherry and confidently said, "A mother becomes strong for her children!"
"What do you mean?"
Brandon Potter playfully hit Sabrina Conner on the head, and Sabrina Conner, holding his head, looked at her resentfully, "Sister Alyssa, can you stop hitting my head all the time? If I turn stupid one day, can you take that responsibility?"
"Did I sleep with you, or what? You’re actually expecting me to take responsibility?"
Sabrina Conner crossed his arms, looking at her with an expression of a young girl looking at a bully, "Sister Alyssa, I’m not interested in relationships with older women. I like fair-skinned, beautiful, easily-seduced soft girls."
Brandon Potter smacked him again, "I’ll let you talk nonsense! I’m even less interested in boys who haven’t grown up yet."
"Damn! How do you know I haven’t grown up? I was all grown by 14!"
Barnes Smythe squatted there, eating the half-cooked noodles Brandon Potter made. It was truly awful.
"Hey, what are you looking at? Could it be you really took a liking to that woman?" Sabrina Conner nudged Barnes Smythe, jokingly.
"Sabrina, do you still remember your mother?"
"Ever since I can remember, I’ve been in the base. Do you still remember yours?"
Barnes Smythe stared at Sherry’s face and said, "I don’t remember..."
Maxwell Young emerged from the tent, and Joy called out, "Daddy..." Maxwell Young walked over, picking up his son, while the woman just sat there, unmoved.
They heard Maxwell Young say to the woman, "I’ll be back, just wait for me."
"If Joy and I are still alive when you return, let’s get a divorce."
"Divorce over what?"
"You go with your brother. I’ll stay with Joy."
"That’s my brother! My own brother. Our parents died early, and he’s the only brother I have. What do you want me to do? Just ignore his life and death?"
"You care about his life and death, but what about ours?
Your brother is a drug dealer now, and his enemies will only increase. I don’t want to end up kidnapped with Joy."
Sherry snatched her son from Maxwell Young’s arms and walked into the tent, lowering the curtain, unwilling to talk to Maxwell Young anymore.
"Sherry, I’ll be back soon..." Maxwell Young said, leaving with large strides, Brett Jacobs alongside him.
"Let’s go. If you want to see your wife and child sooner, you’d better get the job done for the Sixth Master," Brett Jacobs urged.
"Joy, Daddy’s leaving."
"Goodbye, Daddy."
Maxwell Young felt a bitter sadness, unsure if he’d ever return from this journey.
His brother’s obsession with Mai was too deep; his transformation into a drug dealer was largely because of that woman, Mai.
"Goodbye, Joy. Daddy will return soon. Be good and listen to Mom, okay?"
"Okay."
...
In the tent, the fan blew loudly, but it was still stifling hot, and Adrian Desmond’s back was drenched with sweat.
Since the call with Sienna Johnson, he hadn’t slept. He thought since Sienna was pregnant, Xavier Young wouldn’t touch him, but now he realized how naive he was.
He repeatedly wiped his sharp dagger, intending to use it to slice the flesh off Xavier Young piece by piece.
He wanted to make him regret ever touching Sienna Johnson!
Marion lifted the tent flap and looked at Adrian Desmond, who was preparing his weapons, as the slaughter was about to begin.
"Sixth Master, Brett Jacobs personally escorted Maxwell Young to Woodenshade Village."
"Hmm."
"Sixth Master, what if Xavier Young doesn’t listen to his brother?"
"Get ready, we’re taking action tonight," Adrian Desmond ordered.
"Weren’t we supposed to move tomorrow night?"
"I changed my mind suddenly!"
Marion: ...
