Chapter 638: Extra Fifteen: Ink Dot Plum Scent (Part Thirteen)

Alia Smith brought her to the address provided by Max Smith, William Lane offered to drop her off.

She let Jas Lane drop her off at a supermarket entrance, went inside to buy so things, then walked to the inn.

When she arrived, Max Smith was waiting for her at the entrance.

As soon as he saw her, Max narrowed his eyes, then imdiately welcod her with a smile.

“Miss Amos.”

Max was dressed simply, in a short-sleeved black outfit. Although washed a bit whitish, the fabric was very good.

Over fifty years old, he had slight wrinkles on his face, but it was not difficult to see that he was very good-looking.

The entire family of six at Alia’s ho was very good-looking.

Max took the things from Alia’s hand: “Are you tired?”

Alia Smith looked at him and asked directly, “Where’s my mom?”

“Inside.” Max smiled, trying to be pleasing. “I’ll take you there.”

Alia maintained so distance from him, not wanting to have too much conversation with him, and followed him into the hotel.

From the outside, the hotel did not appear to be too large, but once inside, it was quite spacious and looked clean.

In this area, it would cost about two or three hundred for a night.

Alia looked around and followed Max into the elevator: “Does Evan Smith know you guys are here?”

“He knows; I’ve already told him. He helped us book this place.” Max responded with a smile.

Alia glanced at him: “He didn’t co?”

“He said he has to do a part-ti job during the day, and can only co after work in the evening.” Max lowered his stance.

Hearing his reply, Alia watched as the elevator stopped on the 12th Tower, the elevator door opened.

“Miss Amos, we’re here.” Max took a step out, noticing she hadn’t moved, and called her na.

Alia followed him out, then took out her cell phone and sent a ssage.

The corridor was narrow, with a carpet on the ground. Occasionally as they passed a room, they would sll smoke or hear loud conversations from inside the rooms.

Alia followed him along a rather long path, turning a corner, all the way to the end of the corridor, before arriving at the room.

“It’s here.” Max said, taking out the room card.

With a beep, the room door was unlocked, and Max pushed it open.

Just as he pushed it open a crack, Alia suddenly said: “Dad.”

Surprised, Max’s hand stopped in place, and he looked at her.

Alia looked at him and said: “When I was born and you found out I was a girl, you must have hated in that mont.”

Max remained silent for a mont, then spoke awkwardly: “Why bring this up all of a sudden?”

“That year, you lost a lot of money in gambling. You wanted to sell off to that casino boss. You know how old I was then?” Alia spoke calmly.

Max couldn’t say anything.

“Fourteen.” Alia answered for herself.

A trace of guilt appeared on Max’s face.

“I’m twenty this year.” Alia said.

Max looked at Alia, standing at the door without moving. He clenched the doorknob repeatedly, and after a mont, he suddenly smiled: “Why are you bringing this up now? Dad was indeed wrong back then, and I will make it up to you. Let’s go in first.”

Alia looked at him and finally smiled a little.

This smile seed to completely sever so emotions and also seed to mock her own wishful thinking.

She laid her hand on the door, hesitated for a mont, and pushed it open.

But just as she entered, Max stood outside the door, closing it.

Max did not accompany her inside. Six years later, he made the sa choice and personally sent his daughter away.

Alia stood at the doorway, her expression gradually becoming blank.

She saw three n coming out of the room.

Any one of them could be old enough to be her father.

“Your father…he’s really ruthless.” The man said with a laugh.

All three n were looking her up and down. Then they all showed satisfied smiles.

Alia Smith held back her nausea, her face turned pale due to discomfort: “Did he owe you money again?”

“Yeah, that’s right.” The lead man stared straight at her.

“How much did he owe?” Alia Smith asked.

“He lost over 300,000 gambling and borrowed 500,000 from .” The man said with a laugh, “Now… it’s rolled over to more than 5 million.”

“So?” Alia Smith said, “You want to pay it back?”

“Yeah.” Another man grinned lewdly, “If you accompany the three of us for one night, we won’t charge interest, and he can just pay back the 500,000. If we’re satisfied with you tonight, we can cover you for a while, and the 500,000 can be waived.”

“So, Miss, you need to perform well. Take good care of us three brothers.” Another man said.

Alia Smith’s hand hanging at her side trembled slightly, her lips turned paler: “What if I don’t?”

“You’re here now, it’s not up to you.” The man smiled lewdly, “Don’t be afraid, you’ll get used to it.”

Alia Smith took a deep breath, exhaled slowly, then took a step back and walked out of the room.

The three n’s reflexes were quite sharp, and they imdiately pursued her. Just as one man was about to grab Alia Smith’s hand, a hand suddenly stretched out from outside the door and pushed his hand away.

Alia Smith walked out of the room and stood in the corridor, glancing at Max Smith, who was lying on the ground against the wall, unconscious from Jas Lane’s efforts.

Jas Lane blocked the three n at the entrance of the room.

“What are you doing?” One man said coldly, “Don’t get in our way, you’ll suffer for it. Hurry up and…”

Before the word “scram” was uttered, the leading man suddenly stopped the talking man.

Then he looked at Jas Lane and said, “Big Brother Lane?”

The other two n’s eyes widened, and they imdiately held their breaths.

Jas Lane was the chief thug under William Lane.

He used to be outside. After Alia Smith ca, William Lane gradually brought Jas Lane back.

Aside from managing his subordinates, Jas Lane’s main job now was to be responsible for Alia Smith’s safety.

As for William Lane, he was rarely seen, and his reputation was little heard.

But with Jas Lane, many people on the street were terrified by the sound of his na.

They would all respectfully call him “Big Brother Lane.”

Jas Lane didn’t know the man in front of him but looked at him without saying anything.

“Big Brother Lane,” The man introduced, “We all work for Richie brother.”

Jas Lane knew his identity and said coldly, “That’s our Young Madam.”

Three faces showed panic, and their legs even began to weaken.

If one of William Lane’s thugs could be called Big Brother, what kind of character would William Lane be to make people willingly submit and be loyal.’

Moreover, this was the Lane Family of Imperial Capital.’

They couldn’t imagine what would have happened if they had touched her just now.’

“We, we didn’t do anything. Nothing at all.” The three n said while stepping back, “We didn’t even touch her. You can ask Mrs. Lane, we really didn’t. Big Brother Lane, we really didn’t know. It was her father, her father sent her here. He said she didn’t have a boyfriend, that’s why we ca.”

Jas Lane walked in, intending to control them in the room and settle the matter.’

Alia Smith caught on and said, “Jas Lane, let it go. Don’t make too much of a commotion.”

“Yes, sir.” Jas Lane replied.

“I’ll take care of the man who owes you.” Jas Lane’s voice was icy, even murderous as soon as he opened his mouth, “You guys scram back to the border imdiately.”

“Yes, yes. We’ll leave right away. Don’t worry about the money, just forget it.” The three n bowed and nodded, lowering their heads, “Thank you Mrs. Lane, thank you Mrs. Lane.”

Alia Smith’s face was pale, and it was as if her mind went blank for a mont, with nothing left…
