Jenna’s pov

The screen in front of showed Rose throwing stuff around before she pulled out her phone and yelled at sothing.

Her movents were frantic, unrestrained, like she was barely holding herself together.

Her anger and disappointnt was evident in her actions, and I really felt curious about what she was saying.

Whatever she was hearing clearly was not what she wanted.

Unfortunately, the security cara in the Harvour Industries office did not record sound. It was because I was too paranoid that soone could hack into the system and drag out company secrets using voices.

’Well, who knew that the one to hack and do that would be ? Anyway, I was keeping an eye on Rose, right? I should go back to doing that.’

Rose talked a little more on the phone before she threw her phone at the wall, and it cracked. She cald down a little bit after that and decided to head out.

I could imdiately tell that she was about to cause trouble, and I closed the security system before I decided to rest as well. It was quite late in the afternoon, but I still decided to take a small nap before I had to visit Iris.

The sleep felt refreshing, and when I went down after that, Damian was already ready to head out with .

"Ready to go now?"

He asked, extending his hand toward . I took his hand, and we headed out. The driver opened the door for us without being told to, and a comfortable silence filled the air.

"How is Iris doing?"

I asked the question, forcing myself not to frown. I reminded myself that it was important for to know about Iris, no matter how much she irritated .

"Iris is still in bad shape. But she has been transferred to the best treatnt center and is expected to make a full recovery soon."

Damian did not sound much excited about this either.

"I see. That’s good. I also had sothing I needed to ask her about."

I wanted to ask Iris about the man who kidnapped her. There was sothing familiar about that man, but I was not able to recall what.

However, I had a feeling it was sothing connected to Rose and what happened to after my ’death’. I did consider talking to Damian about it before I paused.

Even if we had begun to trust each other, now was not the ti to tell my secret. I needed a little more evidence...

’I should get a blood test done in secret so that I have evidence of who I am. But finding a trustworthy doctor will surely be a hassle.’

I sighed, and Damian did not say anything as he watched think. We finally reached the hospital, and I got out of the car first.

There was a small group of journalists waiting outside the hospital for the patient to catch any news about Iris. But they were denied any news or even entry into the hospital.

They parted ways for us to enter, and a few even tried to ask us questions before they were pushed aside to allow us inside.

’Hmm, there are a lot more people interested in this case than I expected. I will need to take advantage of this montum and keep working harder. The online response is good as well.’

People have started to bash Harvour Industries for not protecting one of their own or launching an investigation. It made laugh when I first read it.

After all, the one who had organised this attack was Rose herself.

But knowing her and her work ethics by now, I was sure that Rose would sohow find a way to bury this incident quickly.

The hospital was quiet but busy. Doctors were running around, but no one tried to stop us from heading to the high-security sections.

Everyone recognized Damian, and I piggy-backed on his fa and familiarity to get to Iris’s room as well.

The doctor in there looked startled when we knocked at the door before we opened it. But he looked relieved to see that it was familiar faces on the other side of the door.

"A-Ah, Master Damian...! I was not expecting you to visit. How can I help you today?"

The doctor asked as he put down his glasses on the table and offered and Damian a chair to sit down in.

Iris’s room was huge, with a dedicated guest area for gifts and such. And it was currently almost filled up by flowers and other souvenirs left by people.

"Hahah, this room is a little bit of a ss right now. There were just too many gifts and such sent by fans for their beloved idol. And with Harvour Industries under an order to give her space, we had nowhere to put these gifts."

The doctor told us in a cheerful but excited voice.

I suddenly felt sorry for the doctor who had to deal with all this ss. But Damian did not even seem to feel sorry for the doctor as he sat down on the only available chair before he pulled down as well.

His possessiveness was subtle, but unmistakable.

I was so startled by his action that I missed what the doctor was saying.

When I finally did look up, the doctor had a small blush on his face, and he was looking at anything and everything except and Damian.

"...A-Anyway, as I was saying...Miss Iris’s life is not in danger. But the huge amounts of drugs in her system will leave a lasting impact. Not to ntion, the ntal trauma. I will do my best to help, but it will take a long ti."

The doctor tried to warn us, and I nodded.

"It is fine. Miss Iris deserves a chance to be normal once more..." ’and help with my revenge against Rose.’

I swallowed the rest of my thoughts.

The doctor sighed and nodded.

"Alright... So, I was thinking..."

Soone knocked on the door while we were talking, and the doctor frowned before he asked the other person to enter. An elderly nurse entered the room and held a syringe in her hand.

"Doctor, it is ti for the patient’s dicine."
