Jenna’s pov

"...and cut. We are done with today’s scenes. You all did a wonderful job with this shooting. We can all relax now."

The director told us as he started to pack things up. Noah and the others on the set let out a relief-filled sigh as they were finally allowed to relax. I also felt relieved when the shooting wrapped up without any problem.

The tension that had been clinging to the set since morning finally loosened its grip.

Noah imdiately walked toward once he was done, and excitent shined in his eyes.

"Miss Jenna, I finished my shooting. Was I any good?"

Noah’s eyes bead as he looked at . His attention made feel a little nervous...especially with how overbearing he was being. But I also understood that I was his only source of comfort in this place.

The industry was ruthless, and he was still learning how to stand on his own.

As such, I was the one he depended on most.

"You did good, Noah...are you alright?"

I asked, seeing his face go pale all of a sudden. He was looking at sothing behind that I could not see. When I turned my face around to try and take a look, I found that I could not turn around. Sothing solid was preventing from being able to do so.

"You seem...quite close to my fiancée, Mister Park. But I would like to remind you not to overstep. Not everyone is as open-minded as I am about these things."

I could not see Damian behind , but I could hear his voice. That reassured that the person behind was Damian, and I had a sudden urge to want to turn around.

But Damian’s chest did not allow to do that. His tone was calm, but there was an unmistakable edge beneath it.

"I...will keep that in mind. It’s just that Miss Jenna was the one who got into acting, and she is like a sister to ...so...I did not an much by this."

Noah’s voice went soft and low as he reassured Damian that he ant no harm. This kid was making feel sorry for him, but I also understood Damian’s concerns.

People in the industry were like hyenas. They would try to bite into anyone and anything they could get their hands on, regardless of the consequences.

I needed to establish my relationship with Noah well enough to not let any doubt creep into people’s minds and cause rumors.

"Hmm, you are right. You do feel like my younger brother...and I also did get you into this industry, so I feel responsible for you. So I will look after you well."

I patted Noah’s shoulder (more for show than anything else), but his perked-up expression told that I did the right thing. There was also a hint of pink on his cheeks that I ignored for now.

At least this much reassurance would keep things stable.

Soon, it was ti for us all to head ho, and I left the studio with Damian. But as soon as we got out of the studio, he got a call.

The phone rang once...twice...before I could no longer take it and asked him about the call.

"Are you not going to take this call? It might be important."

I reminded him, and he finally sighed before he took his phone out to check who was calling him. As soon as he looked down, he frowned. He was clearly not happy with what he was seeing.

That expression alone made my chest tighten slightly.

"Give a minute. I need to take this call."

Damian told before he spoke on the phone. The longer he talked, the more frustrated he looked, until he slamd the phone shut and turned to look at .

"I apologize, but it seems that I need to leave for now. I will ask my driver to take you ho first—"

"No, that’s fine. I can get ho in a taxi. I think that will be for the better, since most people won’t expect to take a taxi back ho."

Damian did not say anything. He just let out an exhausted sigh before he gave a sincere look.

"Alright, I will trust you this ti. Make sure to give a call as soon as you get ho."

He told before he squeezed my hand one last ti and let go. He kept looking back at once in a while as he walked away, and I could not help but feel off.

Once he was out of my sight, I decided to call for a taxi to get back ho. But as soon as I looked up, I noticed a familiar figure running away.

I had looked at enough of Iris’s attempts at sneaking around to not recognize her. But this ti, it did not seem as if she was running away. Instead, it looked as if she was trying to get away from soone following her.

She went into the store in front of , and seconds later, a suspicious person followed after her as well, going into the sa store she had entered monts ago.

My instincts told that sothing was going on, and I could not help but follow after the two.

I knew that it was useless and that there was no need for to do this. But I still could not help myself. There was just...sothing about this situation that made want to act on it.

As if ignoring it would lead to sothing far worse.

So, despite my better judgnt, I decided to follow Iris and see what was going on with her. I had no idea what was happening, but my instincts told to do this.

Of course, I also left Damian a ssage about what I was doing so he won’t worry about . But I had a feeling he would still try and co after as soon as he could.
