Having a contract with NYC Entertainnt would make things so much easier in the future for us. With that in mind, I quickly finalized our deal.

I tapped my fingers against the table to hide how tense my body suddenly felt.

Nicole’s eyes burned into as she kept looking at . Her lawyer kept explaining the contract stuff to us, but I left it up to Damian.

I was just focused on Nicole and her attention.

Suddenly, I felt arms go around my body and pull closer to a hard chest. I rested my hand on that chest as well before I looked up. But Damian was not looking at . His grip wasn’t gentle-almost like he was anchoring in place.

His attention was completely occupied by Nicole and her presence.

"I would like it if you stop looking at my partner, Miss Park. I am not a gracious man who likes to share his possessions with others."

He told the female, and Nicole let out a scoff. His arms tightened around when he spoke, indicating that the ’possession’ in this case was . Perhaps he saw as nothing more than that, but it still made my stomach flip in nervousness.

My breath hitched when his fingers pressed harder against my waist.

"I am not sure how long you would be able to keep your ’possession’ by your side if you don’t even see them as anything more. But I will surely be happy to pick it up if they decide to run away from you."

Nicole did not hold her taunt back. Her eyes looked at next, and my body stiffened at her attention.

"Miss Jenna, feel free to reach out to if you need anything. I will always be here to help you out. And unlike ’so’ people, I will do it because I consider you a ’precious friend’ and not a possession."

That was a jab at Damian, but Damian pretended he was not affected by it. The only indication that he was bothered was the slight pressure of his fingers digging into my side.

His thumb dug in just enough for to know he was seconds from snapping.

Cough

Our tense atmosphere was broken by a sudden cough, and the lawyer presented the papers for us to take.

"This is the final deal. Please take a look and sign it."

Damian took the papers and gave a quick read to the changes made. There must have been nothing he found odd about it because he decided to sign the contract. Nicole signed it next, and they both shook hands.

Damian’s handshake looked polite, but the force behind it made Nicole’s knuckles go white.

Their eyes clashed even as they smiled politely at each other.

"It is nice to work with NYC Entertainnt, Miss Nicole Park. Please contact us if you need anything."

Damian smiled at the female while pulling close. Nicole’s smile stiffened at that, but she remained professional.

"Of course. But I do hope that Miss Jenna would personally look over our projects. She has a fine eye unlike any I have ever seen before. Surely, you won’t waste her ’talent’ by chaining her up and keeping her inside?"

Sohow, I had a feeling that things were headed toward a clash. So before that could happen, I decided to pull Damian a little bit toward the exit.

"We should get going now, Damian. We have a eting in the next hour. Miss Nicole Park, it was a pleasure to et you. I hope we get to work together more in the future."

I told the female before I all but dragged Damian out of the situation. I practically yanked him by the arm before either of them could fire another shot.

Damian... had a weird smile on his face. It was not happy, but it was not sad either. It... almost looked smug...

Nicole kept looking at us until the car door closed and we took off. I felt my heart lighten once that deal was signed.

"Since when did you and Miss Nicole Park get so close? Wasn’t yesterday your first ti eting her?"

Damian asked in an almost sulky voice, and I had to turn toward him to make sure I was not mistaken about this...

But no. I could actually make out the slightest of pouts on Damian’s face.

"We... just clicked with each other... for so reason? Is there a problem? Am I not supposed to be close with Miss Nicole?"

I asked, and Damian imdiately looked away.

"Of course not. You can be close with anyone you want. That is... not a problem."

Damian assured , but sohow, his words did not match his actions. His grip felt just a little bit tight around , and we finally reached our next destination.

Today was a busy day for us... and it was just going to get even more busy.

__________

Damian’s pov

’I... have no reason to feel jealous. Jenna does not even know her for long. There is no way anything is going on between them...’

I knew that fact well, but sohow, I still felt jealous of how close Jenna and Nicole appeared during the contract signing. My jaw clenched every ti Nicole leaned even an inch toward Jenna.

Nicole had not been able to take her eyes off Jenna the whole ti, and it made want to scratch her eyes out in annoyance.

I had to curl my hand into a fist under the table just to stop myself from grabbing Jenna and walking out.

Jenna, the sweet and slightly oblivious person she was, seed to not notice... and encouraged Nicole’s attention. And that pissed off even more.

’How dare that stupid girl try to make a move on Jenna? I truly wanted to make her pay for it... ugh...’

I truly wanted to flip things upside down during that eting, but the only reason I had not was because Jenna had told that this cooperation was important to her. That made hold back my temper.

If Jenna hadn’t been there, Nicole would have left that room crying.

I almost felt like a dog on a leash. Sohow, I wanted to follow whatever Jenna told to without question.

"So, we have a few more etings for today? I already feel tired."

I complained, burrowing my face in Jenna’s shoulder. Her scent helped calm down, and the tension from before slowly leaked out of my fra.

I wrapped an arm around her waist, keeping her pulled firmly against as if soone might try to take her the mont I let go.

Her milky neck invited , the blank canvas begging for so marks. And I... could not stop myself. It was a truly impulsive decision on my part to sink my teeth into her neck.

"Ouch...."

Jenna let out a yelp at my bite, and I knew that I should feel ashad of this. But sohow, all I felt was a sense of deep-rooted satisfaction. The mark on her neck looked nice... and the wide-eyed look on her face looked even nicer.

My chest swelled with satisfaction knowing everyone would see that mark and know she was mine.
