Fans had gathered on both sides of the red carpet, the flashing lights of the dia illuminating half the sky. Draped from the roof of the building was an enormous poster featuring a massive shark, grinning so nacingly it looked as if it could swallow the two small fish before it at any mont.

Tonight's premiere wasn't just for stars of the silver screen; the red carpet was also graced by a host of animated heroes, including Sheriff Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Flik the ant, the furry Sulley, and Mike Wazowski.

It was common knowledge that Walt Disney's animated films were in a period of decline. For the past several years, Disney Animation had been relying on Pixar Studios, and there was no doubt that Pixar was a powerhouse, the undisputed standard-bearer in the world of computer animation.

A black rcedes-Benz pulled up to the entrance of the red carpet, and a dozen photographers imdiately sward around it.

The door opened. Matthew stepped out first, then turned and helped Keira from the car.

"They were invited too?" so reporters wondered. "Could all that dia hype be true?"

All the reporters were exceptionally well-inford, so how could they not know about the pair who had been causing such a stir in the papers and on certain websites lately?

Matthew led Keira from the car, and the two of them faced the journalists' caras as a barrage of flashes lit up their faces.

Both Matthew and Keira had long since grown accustod to it.

Matthew wore a tailored black suit that accentuated his lean physique. A faint smile played on his lips, and his hair, which he hadn't cut since filming "Pirates of the Caribbean," was neatly combed back, giving him a dashing appearance.

Keira's look primarily emphasized her classic British elegance. Her long, silver-white evening gown contrasted and complented Matthew's black suit, and her styled hair highlighted her beauty.

As Matthew and Keira erged from the car, sharp cries erupted from the fans lining both sides of the red carpet. Countless people scread and waved at them as if they were two A-list stars.

It couldn't be helped; that's just how the world was. Beautiful n and won always received special treatnt.

Matthew and Keira were undoubtedly the main event of the evening, especially when compared to the other guests who had already walked the red carpet, such as the key staff from Pixar Studios and a few voice actors from the animated film.

The couple's black-and-white color sche was an obvious hint at their closeness, and so fans who had seen the gossip in the papers were already murmuring, "They're a perfect match!"

Surrounded by caras, Matthew and Keira raised their hands almost in unison and waved back at the enthusiastic crowd.

Then, Matthew took Keira's hand and started toward the premiere theater at the end of the red carpet.

A dozen photographers stood on either side, snapping pictures of the two of them almost without pause. Their clasped hands were the focus of nearly every cara lens.

Because their intertwined fingers practically scread to everyone about their relationship.

"So, Matthew Horner and Keira Knightley really are together!"

Thanks to the recent storm of publicity and the added aura that ca with a blockbuster event like "Pirates of the Caribbean," Matthew and Keira instantly beca the talk of the red carpet tonight.

But no one felt it was out of place. The trailer for "Pirates of the Caribbean" had already been released; on screen, they were a couple, and off screen, they looked like the perfect pair.

The two walked the red carpet with enviable intimacy, smiling and occasionally whispering to each other.

Unfortunately, outsiders couldn't hear what they were saying, or their heads might have spun.

"I couldn't see it from the car," Matthew began, waving to the cheering crowd before leaning in to whisper to Keira. "But it's obvious now."

Keira, maintaining a ladylike smile, asked in a low voice, "What's obvious?"

Matthew stepped onto the slightly plush red carpet and said nonchalantly as they walked, "Your chest is definitely bigger. Did you stuff sothing in there?"

Keira kept the smile fixed on her face, but her words were laced with venom. "Matthew Horner, shut up and walk to the theater entrance."

Matthew pressed on. "Seriously, Keira, how did you do it?"

They had discussed each other's chests more than once, and neither of them objected to the topic; otherwise, he wouldn't bring it up so often.

Keira glanced down and squeezed the hand holding Matthew's, but it felt as hard and rough as a rock. She knew she had no hope of hurting him.

She smirked and shot back at Matthew, "I've never t anyone as clueless as you."

Matthew turned his head as they neared the interview area and asked again, "So how did you do it?"

Keira rolled her eyes and replied, "Haven't you ever heard of sothing called shapewear?"

A look of understanding dawned on Matthew's face. "Ah, so that's it."

They then walked into the dia interview zone, where the waiting reporters imdiately crowded around them.

Gossip was popular, and the dia naturally loved to cover it, which was the main reason Hollywood was so accustod to using this tactic for publicity.

If it had been an ordinary third-rate starlet, it might not have worked so well, but the halo of the $140 million "Pirates of the Caribbean" had a clear amplifying effect.

The reporters surrounding Matthew and Keira were busy taking photos while others shouted questions.

"Matthew! Keira!" one reporter at the front called out loudly. "Are you two dating?"

Keira spoke up, boldly declaring, "I've accepted Matthew's courtship. He's my boyfriend now."

The microphones swung toward Matthew.

The team had already prepared their lines, and Matthew delivered his flawlessly, adding his own touch. "I really like Keira. I've been pursuing her. After we finished filming 'Pirates of the Caribbean,' Keira went back to England, and I was in Los Angeles, but all I could think about was Keira."

He said it naturally, and from the outside, it seed completely sincere. "That's when I knew I was hopelessly in love with her. She was my Elizabeth Swann."

Keira looked at Matthew with tenderness. Although she knew his words were false, she found them very flattering to hear.

Won enjoy being pursued by n.

Matthew wasn't a great actor, but he wasn't particularly bad either, and he handled the occasion with ease. "So, when Keira ca back to Los Angeles this year, I started chasing her like a madman, and luckily for , I succeeded."

He turned his head and gazed affectionately into Keira's eyes. "I feel like I'm the happiest man in the world right now!"

It was a sincere and moving confession, as if he and Keira were the most in-love couple in the world.

The reporters' caras didn't stop clicking, while in the back, video caras were diligently recording everything.

This would be news that would interest a lot of people and beco the topic of dinner conversations for ordinary Aricans.

Matthew instinctively wrapped his arm around Keira's waist. They turned to look at each other, both with sweet smiles on their faces.

Suddenly, one of the reporters shouted, "Kiss her! Kiss! Co on!"

Eager for valuable material, the other reporters quickly joined the chorus. "Kiss her! Matthew, kiss Keira!"

Matthew hadn't rehearsed this part, but for an actor, kissing soone on cara was a basic skill. He slowly lowered his head and, under the watchful eyes of the crowd of reporters, pressed his lips to hers.

Keira closed her eyes, seemingly savoring the kiss.

In that mont, their acting skills exploded, reaching an Oscar-worthy level.

When the reporters saw how well Matthew and Keira were "cooperating," even using their tongues, their caras went wild, and they all began thinking about how they would write their articles the next day.

With such a public "display of affection," it was safe to say their intended goal had been achieved.

Matthew and Keira finished their passionate kiss and walked hand in hand toward the theater.

Of course, both of them were sober enough to understand that none of it was real and that it was all a performance for the dia.

Matthew squeezed Keira's hand and turned his head to look at the journalists, who were still snapping photos of them.

He vaguely rembered reading online that celebrities who love to "show off their love" to everyone usually break up the fastest.

In fact, it wasn't just fake couples like them who put on a show for publicity. Even real celebrity couples whose relationships had privately soured or died still put on a show of affection.

In that mont, Matthew learned a lesson: if real celebrity couples wanted to last, it was better to keep a low profile.

"What's on your mind?" Keira noticed Matthew seed lost in thought.

Matthew smiled and said with deliberate calm, "Our kiss was so sweet."

Keira pouted. "That was my lipstick."

Matthew shook his head and said no more. Before entering the theater, he glanced at the enormous poster for "Finding Nemo." The shark's gaping maw reminded him of Michael Fassbender.

He used to think that Michael Fassbender smiled like a certain shark, and only now did he realize who Michael was associated with in his mind.

Unfortunately, Pixar Studios hadn't managed to get Michael to voice the great white shark.

Speaking of which, there were rumors that Pixar Studios was feuding with Walt Disney and that Walt Disney's chairman, Michael Eisner, was considering a rger with Pixar Studios.

Matthew believed this might be one of the reasons Disney was short on cash. To buy Pixar Studios, Disney would have had to make preparations well in advance.

Mulling this over, he walked into the theater.
