“Jian, I suddenly feel like I got married too early!” Xia ngjiao started, her voice laced with disappointnt.
“What’s gotten into you all of a sudden? Is Chu Liyuan giving you a hard ti?”
“No! If I hadn’t gotten married, I could be your bridesmaid! Now, with this big belly, I can’t do anything.”
“You do realize how heartbroken Liyuan would be if he heard you, right? You regret marrying him just so you could be my bridesmaid!”

As they talked, Jian Dan’s phone rang…
“You really shouldn’t speak of the devil in broad daylight. See who’s calling!” Jian Dan showed Xia ngjiao the caller ID on her phone.
She hit the answer button. “Mo Mo, you haven’t forgotten us, have you? It’s been so long since you’ve been in touch!”
“I’m back!”
“You’re back? When did you get back? How co you didn’t tell us?”
“Yesterday!”
“Don’t tell you rushed back just because you heard I was getting married!” Jian Dan was planning to call her in the next couple of days.
“Of course, that’s the main reason, but there’s sothing else~”
“What is it? You’re not about to announce so great news too, are you?”
“It’s hard to explain over the phone. Let’s talk when we et!”
“Sure! Let’s et at our usual spot!”
“Okay, see you in a bit!”
After hanging up, Jian Dan and Xia ngjiao went to the place they used to go for afternoon tea.
When they got there, they found that Mo Mo had already arrived.
“Mo Mo, you sneaky lass, disappearing for months without any news! Couldn’t you have at least called?” That was Xia ngjiao’s first sentence upon seeing Mo Mo.
“Wow, your belly is so big now.”
“Look at you, deflecting like a pro!”
Mo Mo pulled them both into a hug. “I’ve missed you guys so much!”
“Missed us, without even giving us a call!”
“Well, I’m back now, aren’t I? You can punish however you want; I accept it all. What do you say?”
“First things first, tell us what’s going on with you? How’s it going with Ling Xiaoyang? And you ntioned you’re back for another reason – what is it?”
“Besides attending your wedding, I also have to go on arranged dates!”
“Arranged dates??” Jian Dan and Xia ngjiao exclaid together, their voices louder than they intended, drawing glances from nearby people.
“Keep it down, you two. What’s with the shock and awe?”
“It’s just… weren’t you and Ling Xiaoyang together in Switzerland? How co you suddenly returned for arranged dates?”
“I gave up~” Mo Mo said with an air of nonchalance.
“What do you an?”
“Just what it sounds like. I’ve decided to give up on Ling Xiaoyang!”
“But you really liked him, right? You took care of him, went to Switzerland with him – how could you just give up all of a sudden?”
“If he doesn’t like , no matter what I do or how long I stay by his side, it’s pointless.” Mo Mo’s tone had clearly changed.
“What actually happened?” Previously, Mo Mo was very confident and optimistic, but her deanor this ti seed quite off.
“It’s not important anymore! I’m fine now! The man my mom arranged for to et is really outstanding; he might just be my other half, you know?” Although Mo Mo’s face wore a smile, Jian Dan and Xia ngjiao could tell she was putting on a brave front.
“But you’re in love with Xiaoyang!”
“Love can be cultivated slowly, right? And I’ve realized that maybe I didn’t like Ling Xiaoyang that much, after all!”

“Oh, co on, no more buts. Give so confidence, don’t douse with cold water. I’ve already made an appointnt with him; he’ll be here soon. You guys just sit over there and give a hand!”
“What? You’ve already made an appointnt?”
“Yeah! It’s about ti. You two go ahead!”
