"If it’s really that bad, don’t eat it. I’ll have Jin make you sothing delicious!" Jian Dan said as she was about to get up.

Just as Jian Dan stood up, Chu Liyuan grabbed her hand.

"Mom, don’t bother. I actually find it really tasty—I like it!" Jian Xiaokai spoke up first.

"I like it too!" Qian Lele said as she took another large bite and ate with relish.

Kuaikuai didn’t say anything, but her actions said it all.

"Mom, this dish you made, although the first bite was a bit strange, sohow the more I eat, the better it tastes! I can’t seem to stop!" Xiaoxin said as she demonstrated with action, taking bite after bite.

Chu Liyuan pulled Jian Dan back to her seat, tapping her lips gently with his finger, "Your smile is beautiful!"

Jian Dan tugged at her lips, revealing a sweet smile, and then picked up her chopsticks to eat her dish.

As Jian Dan ate, she sneakily watched the five people eat happily, feeling a bit guilty.

Maybe it’s better not to step into the kitchen again.

But how are they eating sothing so bad bite by bite, and even smiling?

Jian Dan’s eyes unconsciously reddened a bit.

At night, after a shower and lying in bed, she was still thinking about the scenes at the dining table earlier.

"What’s wrong? What are you thinking about?" Chu Liyuan asked, climbing into bed and wrapping Jian Dan in his arms.

"I was thinking, I really shouldn’t ever step into the kitchen again. I’ve realized it’s not even about talent; it’s about how cooking and I don’t connect at all.

Today’s dish, I followed the recipe exactly, asuring everything according to the book, but it still turned out awful. Uncle, do you think I’m really dumb?"

"I didn’t marry you to cook for ; you just need to stay by my side and be my little sweetheart." Chu Liyuan gently tapped Jian Dan’s nose, full of affection.

"But isn’t marrying a loss for you, Uncle?" Jian Dan asked, looking up into Chu Liyuan’s eyes.

"A loss? Why would it be a loss? Doesn’t Jian Jian know that besides cooking, there are many other things to do? Like..." he said, as he kissed Jian Dan.

"Uncle, wait, I still have sothing to say!" Jian Dan gently pushed away the sowhat reluctant Chu Liyuan.

"Jian Jian, how can you wait at a ti like this? Say it tomorrow." He said as he prepared to kiss her again.

"Mm, I’ll be quick, just a few minutes!" Jian Dan said, pressing her hands against Chu Liyuan’s chest.

"Fine! Then hurry up!" Chu Liyuan urged.

"It’s just that our New E dia is having a team-building activity this weekend, and since Uncle Simiao’s company hasn’t had one in a while, we’re doing it together, (that’s how you say it, but it’s really an order from my wife.) I wanted to ask, Uncle, we’ve been married for so long, but I’ve never heard of Qin Corporation having a team-building event?

Company team-building is really important for enhancing employee cohesion! So..."

"That’s all?" Chu Liyuan looked at Jian Dan with a bit of speechlessness.

"Oh!"

"Why couldn’t this wait until tomorrow? I thought you had sothing important to say!"

"But it didn’t take long at all!"

"It did..."

After that, Chu Liyuan never gave Jian Dan a chance to speak.
