Chu Liyuan, who woke up in the hospital, sat up imdiately and pulled out the IV needle from his hand again.
"Your body hasn’t recovered. You can’t get up yet," the nurse beside him quickly said when she saw this.
"I have sothing to do, don’t stop ." Chu Liyuan spoke coldly, pushing the nurse aside as he was about to leave.
As soon as he stepped out of the ergency room, he saw Grandpa and Granny being wheeled in, along with others. He hurried over, "How are they?"
"We’re not sure yet, please don’t interfere with our ergency work." Saying that, they wheeled them into the ergency room.
He watched as one person after another was wheeled in, but Jian Jian’s figure was nowhere to be seen.
The last one to be wheeled in was Kuaikuai, who was sitting in a wheelchair.
"Kuaikuai, are you okay?" Chu Liyuan rushed to Kuaikuai’s side imdiately, "Where’s Mom?"
"Mom, she..." Kuaikuai’s eyes brimd with tears again.
"What happened to Mom?" A light of disbelief flashed in Chu Liyuan’s eyes.
Kuaikuai then recounted the entire situation to Chu Liyuan.
"That’s how it was. At that ti, only Mom and I weren’t knocked out, and Mom was saving us." At this mont, Kuaikuai was no longer the calm and cool girl she usually was, crying like a tearful person.
"Mom will definitely be okay, she’ll be fine. You wait here, Dad will definitely bring Mom back!" Chu Liyuan said to Kuaikuai with a smile, then turned and quickly left the hospital.
When Chu Liyuan returned to the villa, the fire had already been extinguished, and firefighters were searching inside.
Chu Liyuan suppressed his emotions, which were on the verge of collapse, and slowly walked over.
The whole villa had been burned to ruins, charred black, unrecognizable.
Jian Dan originally thought she was dead for sure, but she didn’t expect to still be alive. Slowly opening her eyes, she found herself lying on a patch of lush green grass, and in the distance she could see the charred villa.
How did she escape, and how did she end up here?
Jian Dan recalled the previous two near-death experiences she had escaped because of other incidents. Now, when thinking about today’s incident, it seed not just a coincidence. Could it be that soone had been protecting her in secret all this ti?
A face appeared in Jian Dan’s mind, and then she shook her head; how could it be that person? That person had already left forever to save her.
Jian Dan struggled to prop herself up and walked towards the villa. As she walked, she saw a familiar figure, standing dazedly in front of the villa.
"Uncle."
This call of "Uncle" was like the fountain of life for Chu Liyuan, instantly pulling him back from the brink of emotional death.
Turning his head to see that familiar little face, a smile tugged at his lips, he quickly ran over, and at the mont he hugged Jian Dan, his red lips covered hers...
A shadow coldly watched the scene from the dark, hands tightly clenched together, then turned and left.
At this mont, Yang Xiaoyu was sitting on the sofa, waiting for the good news of Jian Dan being burned to death, with a warped smile on her lips.
"Xiaoyu, stop this!"
"Stop? Don’t worry, once it’s confird that Jian Dan is dead, I’ll naturally stop!" Yang Xiaoyu said with a twisted voice.
"Why do you have to do this? For a man who doesn’t love you." Old Yang looked at Yang Xiaoyu with sadness.
"What’s mine is mine forever, no one should dare take what belongs to , no one dares!"
"Is that so?" A bone-chilling voice ca in at this mont...
