Chapter 1809: Chapter 1809: The Ruse of Self-Injury
“You’ve exerted too much, you need to recharge!”
Jian Dan didn’t think much of it, but sitting directly opposite her, Jian Xiaokai was quite unfortunate.
By the ti Jian Dan realized it, she saw Jian Xiaokai’s face covered in chicken soup. “Sorry, Xiaokai, I didn’t do it on purpose. Are you okay?” Jian Dan imdiately picked up a napkin from the table and quickly ran to Xiaokai’s side, urgently wiping the soup off his face. “Did it burn? Did it get into your eyes?” she asked worriedly.
“No, it didn’t burn since it went through your mouth first, and nothing got in my eyes because I closed them quickly.”
“That’s good, I’m really sorry, Xiaokai, I truly didn’t an it.”
“It’s okay, I don’t mind. But I might need to go upstairs and change my clothes,” Xiaokai said after looking at himself.
“Let’s go, I’ll go with you!” With that, she threw the napkin onto the table, grabbed Xiaokai, and swiftly headed back.
Chu Liyuan watched Jian Jian’s retreating figure, and couldn’t help but smile.
Who says that the affection fades with ti after marriage? Why do I feel that the longer I’m married to Jian Jian, the deeper my feelings for her grow?
How can anyone not love such an adorable girl?
Shortly after Jian Dan took Xiaokai away, Chu Liyuan’s phone rang, and his brows furrowed as he looked at the caller ID.
But in the end, he picked it up. “Liyuan! You need to co quickly, Xiaoyu has attempted suicide.” Anxiety filled Old Yang’s voice on the other end of the line.
“I understand!” Chu Liyuan’s eyes darkened as he responded.
Chu Zhiyuan noticed Chu Liyuan’s expression, and after he hung up, asked, “What’s going on?”
“Grandpa Yang said that Yang Xiaoyu attempted suicide,” Chu Liyuan said flatly.
Chu Zhiyuan furrowed his own brow upon hearing this, then looked at Chu Liyuan after thinking for a mont, “What do you think? Are you going?” Considering what happened yesterday, Chu Zhiyuan was skeptical about Yang Xiaoyu’s character and wasn’t sure if this was intentional.
“I’ll head over with Jian Jian later,” Chu Liyuan looked up at Chu Zhiyuan and said.
“Alright, you should go then! Be cautious!”
“Okay!”
At the Yang Residence.
“Xiaoyu, are you sure that Liyuan will really co?” Old Yang asked as he looked at the still stubborn Yang Xiaoyu.
“He will co, he definitely will. Liyuan wouldn’t ignore , he just wouldn’t!” Yang Xiaoyu confidently gazed at the entrance with darkened eyes.
“But even if you wanted Liyuan to co, did you really have to cut your own wrists?” Old Yang asked, pained.
That morning, when he saw Yang Xiaoyu co downstairs with bloodied arms, he was nearly scared out of his wits.
Only later did he find out it was part of Yang Xiaoyu’s ploy for sympathy.
“Liyuan is so perceptive, how could he not see through my act? This was my only option.”
“Xiaoyu, why put yourself through this? There are so many n in the world, why does it have to be him?”
“It just has to be him, because he was supposed to be mine, he can only be mine,” Yang Xiaoyu spoke with eyes full of possessiveness.
Seeing her deanor, Old Yang could only shake his head helplessly before leaving her room.
Chu Liyuan soon hurried over.
“Liyuan, you finally…” Before Old Yang could finish his words, he saw Jian Dan who ca with Chu Liyuan, and his face turned cold imdiately. “Why did you bring her? Is it not enough of a shock for Xiaoyu? Don’t you know why Xiaoyu attempted suicide?” Old Yang loudly reprimanded.
“Suicide?” Jian Dan looked at Chu Liyuan in shock.
