Chapter 1799: Chapter 1799: The Right Way to Princess Carry
“Uncle, I’m already awake, please put down!” Jian Dan said as she prepared to climb down from Chu Liyuan.
Chu Liyuan tightened his hold on Jian Dan, not letting her down from his embrace.
“This is just fine.” He said, continuing to walk forward, and even after leaving the amusent park, he didn’t put Jian Dan down.
“Uncle, aren’t you tired?” Jian Dan asked softly.
“I’m holding my whole world, how could I be tired?” In front of Jian Dan, Chu Liyuan would turn into a master of cheesy lines.
They returned ho to find Bai Jing and Yin Zhihao had already gone back, but Grandma and Grandpa and the four little ones hadn’t returned yet.
“Hm? Weren’t they supposed to be the first ones back? Why haven’t they returned yet?” Jian Dan asked, a bit puzzled.
She then called Grandma, but no one answered. She called Grandpa, and no one answered again. When she called Jian Xiaokai, the person who answered was Xiaoxin.
“Xiaokai, you finally answered the phone.”
“Mom said it was !”
“Xiaoxin? Why are you answering the phone? Where are you all now? Why aren’t Grandma and Grandpa answering their phones?” Jian Dan asked with so concern.
“Mom, we’ve encountered a bit of trouble!” Xiaoxin said in a low voice.
“What? What’s going on?” Jian Dan stood up from the sofa in agitation.
“It’s a bit complicated, and I don’t know how to explain it to you.”
“Send your location, I’ll co over now.”
“Alright!”
After receiving Xiaoxin’s location, the six of them imdiately drove over.
Upon arrival, they saw Grandpa arguing with another elderly man with gray hair.
“I clearly saw it first, how did it beco yours?” Grandpa’s voice.
“So what if you saw it first? You don’t understand art; this piece in your hands would be wasteful.” The other elderly man spoke up.
“You old man, what makes you say I don’t understand art? Do you think you’re the only one who does?” Grandpa retorted, unconvinced.
“Of course.”
“Ugh, don’t disgust , okay? With your lousy taste, you claim to understand art? It makes want to puke!” Grandpa continued to counter.
“Let go, don’t you know the saying that a gentleman helps others achieve their beauty?”
“I saw this painting first, it’s mine, don’t give that nonsense.”
“Indeed, you’re no gentleman, so you wouldn’t understand.”
Jian Dan and the others watched the scene of the two elderly n arguing over the ownership of a painting and couldn’t help but find it a bit amusing.
“Kuaikuai, what’s going on now?”
Jian Dan walked over to Kuaikuai, who stood at the back, and asked.
“You guys finally ca. I’m really not good at handling this kind of thing,” Kuaikuai said with so helplessness. “Here’s what happened: we ca to see an art exhibition, and Great-grandpa liked a painting and wanted to buy it, but then this old man suddenly appeared and insisted on contending with Great-grandpa for the painting. Neither of them wanted to back down, so they’ve been deadlocked until now, and even the exhibition staff has completely given up,” Kuaikuai said, rubbing his forehead.
“All for a painting?” Jian Dan incredulously pointed at the painting both n were holding.
“Initially, I also thought it was strange, but after observing for so long, I’ve figured out that these two must have known each other before, and they were not on good terms, especially liking to compete. So unless a winner is determined today, this absolutely won’t end!”
“Ah? Then…”
Jian Dan looked distressed and turned to Chu Liyuan for help.
