Just then, the four little ones ca out of their rooms, watching the two leave from the second floor.

“How would I know? Daddy Chu specifically convinced us to leave him and Mommy alone these few days, urging us not to disturb them. He wouldn’t reveal where they’re going today,” Jian Xiaokai replied calmly.

They walked and walked until they finally stopped.
“Jian Jian, ready?”
Chu Liyuan gently removed the eye mask.
Jian Dan couldn’t believe what she saw.
At that mont, she felt surrounded by a sky full of stars.

The lights imdiately dimd.

Though she’d seen fireflies on TV nurous tis, this was her first ti seeing so many in real life.
“Do you like it?” Chu Liyuan’s magnetic voice whispered into Jian Dan’s ear.

This reminds of when Uncle and I went to the Tibetan desert together.”
“Jian Jian,” in the dark cave, amidst the weak glow of fireflies, they could barely see each other’s faces, but the mont was incredibly blissful.
