Chapter 1533: Chapter 1533: Li Garden Besieged
“Hey, Uncle~”
“What? Miss already after we just parted?” Chu Liyuan’s voice was slightly hoarse.
“Uncle, you’re not still half-asleep, are you?”
“Jian Jian, do you know what ti I got back last night? I’ve only just slept a little.”
“Uncle, stop sleeping. Sothing huge has happened—Li Garden is under siege.”
“Under siege? What do you an?” Chu Liyuan slowly got up, showing no urgency in his movents.
There really weren’t many things in the world that could make him rush.
“Jian Xiaokai sent out a mass ssage early this morning.”
“What did that kid send?”
“He said, Uncle, that you cheated.”
“What?” A trace of tension finally appeared on Chu Liyuan’s face. “That little brat needs to be taught a lesson.”
“Uncle, now’s not the ti to deal with Jian Xiaokai. Xia ngjiao and the others are about to arrive at Li Garden’s gates. Hurry up and figure out how to get the fake out of there first.”
“Got it.”
By the ti they arrived at Li Garden, Chu Liyuan had already taken the fake Jian Dan away from the premises.
“Did you all plan this? Why have you all shown up so early?” Jin asked as she saw the crowd entering with great montum.
“Jin, where’s Jian? Is she upstairs?”
“Young Mrs. and Young Master haven’t gotten up yet. What’s your business with them?”
“What? Not up yet? Impossible. I called Jian early this morning—she must already be awake.”
“But I haven’t seen Young Mrs. co downstairs.”
“Forget it, where’s Chu Liyuan, then?”
“Young Master should still be asleep too, shouldn’t he?”
“Jin, can you please go upstairs and call him down? Tell him we need to talk.”
“Oh! Alright, wait here a mont.”
Jin went upstairs, but it took her a while to co back down.
“Jin, where’s Chu Liyuan?”
“I couldn’t find him. He’s not upstairs.”
“What? Didn’t you say they haven’t gotten up yet?”
“I’m not sure either. I didn’t see them co downstairs. Could it be that they left early, and I didn’t notice?”
“See? They must’ve gotten wind of this and slipped away.” Xia ngjiao slapped the sofa angrily.
“Even if that’s true, where’s Jian? Why isn’t she here either?”
“Do you even need to ask? She’s probably heartbroken and hiding sowhere to sulk! I’m so worried. I don’t know where Jian is or how she’s doing right now.”
“That lass, turning her phone off at a ti like this—doesn’t she know how worried we’d all be?”
“I’m furious! That stupid Jian—just you wait until I find her. I’ve just co out of confinent, and now she’s making worry like this. I won’t let her off easily.” Xi Rui said angrily with her hands on her hips, though her tone was laced with concern.
“What are you all talking about? What on earth happened?” Jin, now confused, couldn’t make sense of their words.
“Chu Liyuan, co out here! I’m going to give you a piece of my mind today!” A firm voice rang out.
“Old Master, you’re here too?”
“With sothing like this happening, how could I not co? Where’s Chu Liyuan?”
“Young Master isn’t here. I don’t know where he went.”
“Did he ask you to say that?”
“No, Old Master, I swear I truly don’t know where he’s gone.” In his rush to leave, Chu Liyuan hadn’t had the chance to inform anyone.
“Are you sure you don’t know?”
“I’m sure!”
“Alright, then. I’ll wait here until he cos back. I refuse to believe he won’t return eventually.”
Chu Zhiyuan sat down on the sofa, closed his eyes, and exuded the unyielding presence of a Revered God.
