There were about six or seven n behind the woman, and four more n wearing chef uniforms. They were tall and strong, each weighing probably twice as much as Jian Dan, yet Jian Dan still showed no trace of fear.

Jian Dan felt that Mu Yi had sohow changed, but what kind of change she couldn’t pinpoint.
“Even with one more person, you can’t save them. I’m telling you…” The woman hadn’t finished her sentence when Mu Yi glanced over, and she instantly faltered under his gaze, unable to speak.

Jian Dan and the others paid no more attention to the woman or Fu Chao on the ground, turned, and headed out of the restaurant. The woman tried to do sothing, but with another glance from Mu Yi, she stood frozen again, allowing Jian Dan and the others to leave…

He thought that after not seeing her for so many days, his feelings for Jian Dan wouldn’t be as intense as before. But the more ti they spent apart, the stronger the yearning beca, so intense that he felt at a loss.
After hearing that Jian Dan had returned, he could have waited for her at the company. But there was a voice inside that compelled him to go straight to the restaurant, just to see her a bit sooner.
