Mu Yi was just about to eat when his phone rang. As soon as he saw the caller ID, he imdiately sat up straight. “Damn, how could I forget about him?”
“Why are you so agitated? Anyone would think your butt’s on fire!” Jian Dan comnted.
“Jian Dan, what’s the date today?”
“It should be the 18th! What’s up?”
“The 18th? Damn, it’s not just my butt on fire, I’m almost burnt to a crisp.” He started to get out of bed as he spoke.
“What are you doing?”
“It’s an ergency, I have to get out of the hospital now!”
“What situation could possibly be more important than your own health.”
“Ah, I can’t explain it now, I just have to go.”
“Go? You’re not leaving this bed until you explain clearly today.”
“I really don’t have ti.” Mu Yi, not wanting to explain too much to Jian Dan, tried to get out of bed.
But with Jian Dan there, how could he easily succeed? Especially with Mu Yi injured, he was no match for Jian Dan. After struggling for half a day without even touching the ground, Mu Yi had no choice but to give up. “Alright, alright, I’ll tell you, I’ve got a competition scheduled today.”
“A competition? That’s your ergency?
It’s just a competition; it could be postponed! Your priority should be to recover!”
“I will not lose! And, I can’t lose. In my life, no one but him has ever beaten , and it can’t start now!”
“Why are you so stubborn? Is winning really that important?”
“Yes!” Mu Yi’s expression was more serious than ever.
“Ah! I understand now. I’ll let you go, but you have to follow my instructions!”
“Eh?”
“If you don’t agree, then forget about leaving today!” Jian Dan said uncompromisingly.
“Fine! I agree, okay?! Can we go now?”
“Alright then!” Jian Dan mysteriously procured a wheelchair and placed Mu Yi in it, and she pushed him toward the location he had indicated.
“The gym?” Jian Dan looked at the building as they arrived.
“Yes, right inside!”
When they entered, the gym was already packed with people, but no one was working out; they were all spectators.
“Mu Yi~ I thought you were too scared to show up!” The man in the center said when he saw Mu Yi, the crowd around parted to make way for him. “Yo, what’s with the wheelchair? If you were scared of losing, you could’ve just said so; no need for this, right?”
“What are you trying to do?” Seeing the man approaching Mu Yi, Jian Dan stepped in front of Mu Yi to block him.
“Mu Yi oh Mu Yi, even you have this mont? Hiding behind a woman, I’m embarrassed for you!” The man slapped his face mockingly.
“What are you talking about? You look down on won that much, does your mom know?”
“At least I’m not pathetically hidden behind my mother!”
“Heh! Since you’re so accomplished, dare to compete with ?”
“You?”
“What? Scared? Whatever skills I have, Mu Yi taught . He’s kind of like my teacher! If you can’t even win against , there’s no need to challenge Mu Yi.”
“Cheeky lass.”
“Big or small mouth, let’s just see after the competition!” Jian Dan raised her chin defiantly.
“Fine, since you put it that way, I’ll give your teacher a lesson through you!”
After the man agreed, a broad smile curled up on Jian Dan’s lips.
