Chapter 1194: Chapter 1194: Even He Believed It Himself!

After hearing Lin Yingying’s words, the gazes of nearly all the students turned towards this direction.

“Lin Yingying, do you even know what you’re talking about?” Xia ngjiao spoke unhappily.

“Of course, I do. Jian Dan has liked Fang Yuan since middle school, and everyone knows it!”

Lin Yingying’s words plunged Jian Dan into deep thought as she reminisced.

Seeing that Jian Dan didn’t retort, Xia ngjiao continued, “What makes you say that? Which eye of yours saw Jian liking Fang Yuan?” Although Xia ngjiao said this, she actually felt very unsure because Jian Dan hadn’t spoken up in her own defense.

“Both my eyes saw it, okay? And I’m not the only one—I believe other students know too!” Lin Yingying said this while looking back at the crowd.

The crowd was initially taken aback but then began to voice their agreent.

The first to speak was the girl who kept flattering Lin Yingying with sycophantic praises, “Yeah! I know too. Jian Dan’s gaze at Fang Yuan was different from how she looked at others!”

“Yeah, yeah! I noticed it too!”

“That’s right, that’s right! But our class leader only has eyes for Yingying, so he never really looked at Jian Dan.”

Once one person spoke up, several others followed suit.

“I’ve seen Jian Dan confess to Fang Yuan but she got rejected by our class leader because he only likes Yingying,” continued the sycophancy.

Although Jian Dan was contemplating, she could still hear everything that was being said.

After thinking it over, Jian Dan couldn’t recall a single mont when she had liked Fang Yuan. What these people had just said was even more absurd, especially the one doling out the flattery… “I think you’d be especially suited to be an editor!” Jian Dan finally spoke.

“What did you say?”

“Did I say sothing wrong? Coming up with such cliche plots about being rejected after a confession, how are you not suited for it?

You’d be really suitable for writing those overly dramatic scenarios!”

Xia ngjiao’s lips curled into a broad smile. As long as Jian Dan spoke up, those on the other side might as well clock out.

“Hmph, I knew you’d be too stubborn to admit it. Our male lead is sitting right here, so we can confront him about it,” the woman said confidently, believing that Fang Yuan would definitely take Lin Yingying’s side.

“Fang Yuan, have I ever confessed to you?” Jian Dan slowly turned towards Fang Yuan and asked.

Lin Yingying also shifted her gaze to Fang Yuan.

Fang Yuan had been looking down the entire ti, rubbing his hands together, taking a long ti before he spoke up.

“Fang Yuan, speak up!” Lin Yingying snapped at him.

It was then that Fang Yuan slowly raised his head, first glancing at Lin Yingying, then turning his gaze to Jian Dan, “Jian Dan—she—she… never did!”

As soon as Fang Yuan spoke, Lin Yingying’s face instantly distorted into an extrely unsightly expression, but it didn’t last long before she composed herself.

The corners of Jian Dan’s lips lifted slightly; Fang Yuan was still the sa old Fang Yuan, unwilling to say false things for any reason.

“Could it be that I rembered wrong?” The girl spoke awkwardly.

“But if it didn’t happen, how could you rember it so clearly? Don’t tell you said that just because you didn’t want Jian Dan to feel embarrassed,” Lin Yingying suddenly interjected.

“Yeah! Class leader, being a good person isn’t supposed to work that way! It makes people think I’m lying, framing Jian Dan on purpose,” the woman followed Lin Yingying’s lead.

“Yeah! Everyone knows the class leader is just too nice!” Another person started to chi in.

Jian Dan simply scratched her head; she wasn’t angry, but rather marveled at how her classmates were all cut out for screenwriting.

The ultimate level of lying is when you begin to believe the lies yourself.
