In the bottom drawer, Ye Tian saw sothing that made his trip tonight worthwhile. It was information and photos about the ancient sword he was searching for.
Xiao Yi seed highly interested in this ancient sword as well. Could it be he was the one who bought the sword? If it’s about liking antiques, the room was too modest, probably the oldest thing Ye Tian saw was that photo.
Xu He once ntioned that Xiao Yi rose very quickly, always feeling soone was behind supporting him, and why would soone like Guo Bin, a master, willingly work under him? Sothing must be going on. No, there definitely is sothing.
That entire evening, Ye Tian was restless, always feeling that soone was orchestrating this.
The next day, early in the morning, Ye Tian arrived at Sixth Group and saw a man at his desk.
"New here?" Ye Tian asked, feeling a familiar spiritual power from the man, similar to that of Qin Chuan.
"No. Are you Ye Tian?" Qin Hai stared at Ye Tian, who had a look of fierceness between his brows.
"Yes. What’s your relation to Qin Chuan?"
"Don’t you know who your superior is?" Qin Hai smiled.
"Oh, so you are Qin Hai, Qin Chuan’s brother. It seems your family truly focuses on cultivating water series spiritual power, and even your nas reflect that."
"I visited you yesterday."
"Hmm, was there sothing important?"
"Did you do sothing to Chuan you shouldn’t have?" Qin Hai asked with a smile.
"No. I’m busy today." Ye Tian waved his hand and walked away impatiently, thinking just because he’s a supervisor, he thinks he’s big deal? I don’t fancy his sister, so why would I need to die for that? Ridiculous!
Ye Tian knew Sixth Group had a lot of information about people with spiritual powers. He searched for a while and found references to people cultivating wood series, but in his view, they weren’t worth considering.
When Ye Tian left, Qin Hai had already gone, and he also left without talking to anyone else. Without any clues, he decided to first check on so security guards.
The city wasn’t very large, so it was easy to find these people. They were doing their old jobs, now with much better benefits, so no one was holding onto the past, except for one person who shared his story from that night.
"That night, I accidentally found out that the curator wanted to sell the ancient sword," the man nad Zhang Long finally disclosed to Ye Tian after much persuasion, "but I was worried he would fire since I really needed the job."
"Did anything strange happen that night while you were there?"
"Since I was young, sotis I could see things others can’t, so please believe ." Zhang Long glanced at Ye Tian and saw no strange expression, so he continued, "I’ve worked there for several years and usually didn’t notice anything out of ordinary, but recently, I always hear soone screaming at night, and sotis see that ancient sword glowing. Nobody else admits to hearing or seeing this, but honestly, I’d rather leave even if it ans losing my job."
"Are you saying this didn’t happen before, but just recently?"
"Yes."
Ye Tian thought, if this was a continual occurrence, it wouldn’t an much, but the recent events likely pointed to a real issue.
Blood jade itself is spirited, especially such a large piece, it probably holds so profound legacy. Jade was commonly used in arrangents in tombs in ancient tis, could there be sothing in the ancient tomb?
Without waiting any longer, Ye Tian rushed to the ancient tomb, now protected and guarded by dedicated personals. But how could such security stop him?
He successfully sneaked into the ancient tomb and discovered that the tomb was nearly untouched, and items were unbothered except for a spot on the wall that looked like where the jade sword had been placed.
While thinking and walking further inside, Ye Tian was suddenly repelled.
"What the hell is this?" Ye Tian exclaid, clutching his chest. There was no visible barrier, but he certainly felt sothing.
Ye Tian threw a stone that imdiately dispersed, as if hitting an invisible net.
"Soone has found this place."
"Who?" Ye Tian turned back and saw a man in his fifties at the entrance, the guardian here.
"I thought giving the Jade Sword away would bring peace here, but it seems not," the man with a stern square face and emanating gang qi profoundly surprised Ye Tian.
"May I ask who you are? Are you the Tomb Guardian here?" Typically many guards are stationed at a royal tomb after the death of a noble.
"Suppose so."
"Whose tomb is this, to have soone as skilled as you guarding it?"
"I am not really skilled, just been here too long and picked up a few tricks. However, I’m about to leave soon, the Jade Sword is gone, and I’ve fulfilled my ancestors’ will."
"So, were you guarding the Jade Sword? But why did you hand it over?" Ye Tian asked.
"I guarded not just the sword but the contents of the tomb. The sword is rely an ancestral relic. When the tomb was discovered, it attracted too many people, and I had no choice but to hand over the Jade Sword." The old man looked helpless.
