"What are you doing?" Ye Tian watched Xu He pacing back and forth in a rhythmic pattern at this spot and curiously asked.
"I always feel that there’s sothing off about this place, but I can’t quite put my finger on it. It’s not supposed to be like this; it seems like soone has deliberately changed the Dragon Vein here," said Xu He.
"Dragon Vein?" Ye Tian asked back, "are you suggesting that there are tombs here?"
"Possibly."
Xu He didn’t deny it, but Xiaoqian’s face turned pale, a detail only Ye Tian noticed.
"Then, can you locate where the tombs are?" Ye Tian asked Xu He, but his eyes were fixed on Xiaoqian. He saw her staring at the area below the cave and could roughly guess that there was an issue here.
"I’m not very proficient in feng shui. Maybe I should have my senior fellow apprentice take a look?" Xu He wiped his sweat away. The journey had made him sowhat hot.
"That’s fine. Let’s head back first."
The three of them took another thorough look around the area but still didn’t discover anything, with Ye Tian constantly watching Xiaoqian.
That evening, Ye Tian kept talking to Xiaoqian, who appeared sowhat absent-minded.
When Xiaoqian fell asleep, Ye Tian went out alone. He probably already knew that there was definitely sothing underneath the cave.
Ye Tian sprinted all the way to the foot of the mountain and accidentally encountered Xiaoqian there.
"I knew you could tell sothing was off about ," Xiaoqian sighed.
"The first ti we ca here, you already knew, didn’t you?" Ye Tian asked.
"Yes. The first ti we ca, I knew that this mountain is not just any mountain, but an ancient tomb group."
"Then why didn’t you speak up?"
"I didn’t want to. Is it right for us, the descendants, to keep digging up the ancestors’ tombs? They just want to rest in peace, but we always disturb them." Xiaoqian’s voice was filled with anger, yet expressed with her tone, it sounded more like a playful complaint.
"I know it’s not right, but... soone has already disturbed their peace and created such strange things. Do you plan to ignore that too?" Ye Tian asked.
Maybe Xu He was right; it was just an ordinary monkey, but soone forcefully altered its genes, turning it into what it is now. And that gene was probably found in the tombs.
"Then let’s destroy this place completely!" Xiaoqian almost pleaded.
"I don’t have the power to do that," Ye Tian shook his head. What would Xiaoqian think of him if she knew he was once considered a Tomb Robber?
"Let’s just go and have a look since we’re here anyway. I think Xu He’s senior apprentice would notice it too. Let’s go and destroy those things first, so they won’t harm anyone anymore." Xiaoqian took the lead up the mountain, with Ye Tian closely following.
This comfortable Illusion Realm, yet Ye Tian couldn’t help but feel uneasy standing atop soone else’s grave.
When they reached the cave, it could no longer be referred to as a cave, but rather just a pit.
Xiaoqian stared at it for a long while, then drew a line with a stick at one spot.
"Ye Tian, can you chop right here with all your might?" she asked.
"Sure!"
Xiaoqian moved aside, and then Ye Tian gathered the Blade light in his hand knife and viciously struck down at the line.
"Boom!" There was a loud noise, and a big pit erged.
"The earth is very loose, it must have been filled in by soone later."
"Didn’t expect to encounter a master," said Xiaoqian.
"Let’s go, down we go to have a look."
Ye Tian jumped down into the pit with Xiaoqian. Inside, Ye Tian could see clearly, but Xiaoqian had difficulty; however, Ye Tian soon found so candles around and lit them with a lighter he felt beside him.
"These aren’t ordinary candles," With the light, Xiaoqian spoke as she observed the candlelight around, "this is rfolk Oil."
"Have you been watching too many tomb raiding shows?" Ye Tian teased.
"No," Xiaoqian shook her head and looked towards one side, then was astounded.
This place was not an ancient tomb; instead of burial objects, it was a modern laboratory!
Ye Tian hadn’t noticed it until now but was stunned when he did.
Could it be that the Illusion Grudge was created here? My goodness! Ye Tian felt his heart growing stronger and stronger. How co he kept encountering such strange events?
"So people are willing to cultivate like us, but others prefer to beco powerful by the simplest ans."
Bottles and jars, various instrunts neatly arranged, and so animal fur still lingering in cages nearby. It seed like soone had been working here for a long ti.
At that mont, soone pushed open what seed to be a wall door and entered—it was the cultured and refined middle-aged man.
"Who are you?" The middle-aged man was very surprised.
"It seems that you’re the owner of this place?" Ye Tian pulled Xiaoqian behind him, who knew if such a lunatic would conduct experints on them.
"I really didn’t expect you to find this place so quickly. I thought you had spent days wandering around the mountain and had already given up," the man cald down quickly as if he had co to terms with the reality.
"Who are you exactly?" Ye Tian asked.
"? I am the owner of this mountain, and Huan’s master, whom you guys killed," the man began to lightly brush against the examination table.
"Did you create it yourself?" Ye Tian was incredulous.
