Ye Tian really began to understand why so many people feared the Gu Technique.
Just a single insect, whether a scorpion or an ant, could kill a person without leaving any evidence or clues behind. It was terrifying how simple murder could beco!
The title of State Preceptor was indeed well-deserved.
Having circled the area entirely, Ye Tian’s physical strength was rapidly depleting. He stealthily glanced at the Great Zen Master and was disheartened to find the master sitting cross-legged, propping his chin with his hand and watching Ye Tian with an utterly bored expression, as if watching a dull play. Ye Tian’s heart shattered in that instant.
Once again, Ye Tian charged towards Shangjia Moti, who was still continuously chanting spells and controlling the Gu insects. This man was truly detestable, letting the insects do all the hard work while he remained still—it was utterly shaless!
During the sprint back, Ye Tian was cautious and prepared for the surroundings, ready to retreat imdiately if any insects appeared again.
Thankfully, no insects erged from the ground this ti;
Unfortunately, the situation looked even worse.
Ye Tian’s punch landed on Shangjia Moti’s head. The expected satisfying sensation of his fist impacting the head didn’t transmit to his hand. Instead, it felt like hitting a sandbag, a soft force transmitted to his fist. Then, he saw Shangjia Moti’s head start to crumble and disperse like sand, finally dissolving into the air. Indeed, his body wasn’t made of sand but composed of insects. As the humanoid figure dissipated, swarms of insects gathered and slowly reford from the feet up to the head, Shangjia Moti once again appeared before everyone.
Ye Tian saw Shangjia Moti looking back at him with a smile that was not quite a smile, the curve of his lips filled with chilling coldness.
He had been tricked!
Ye Tian’s first reaction was to quickly leave this troubleso place, but his response was a bit slow. Just as he was about to leave, two long snakes erged from the ground and coiled around Ye Tian’s ankles, rendering him immobile. Then, eagles from the sky began to dive down, bringing a fierce and wild breeze towards him, their sharp, icy beaks and shiny black claws aid directly at him.
In desperation, with no ability to move, Ye Tian resorted to the Panchen Finger.
With his right index and middle finger forming a Dharma Seal, energy gathered in his Dantian, and power surged continuously into the two fingers. The atmosphere around him began to change, and the gloomy energy slowly dissipated. A milky white halo appeared around Ye Tian.
Standing outside the Barrier, Bodhi’s complexion changed for the first ti. Watching Ye Tian inside, he said solemnly, "It really is that lost Peerless Divine Skill. I didn’t expect this young man to verify it on his own. I just wonder how powerful this Finger really is. Hopefully, it’s not just all talk."
No one could truly understand what these changes around Ye Tian signified. It seed similar to the previous aura, but this ti, the milky white halo seed even more formidable. Otherwise, the Barrier above his head wouldn’t have cracked with spiderweb-like fissures.
Fingertip lightly touches; two white streams of Clear Wind Gang Qi shoot at the ground beneath his feet, instantly turning those two flower-snake-thick branches into black powder, scattering with the breeze.
Shangjia Moti’s eyebrows furrowed. No one understood the power of those twin flower snakes better than him. Unlike normal Gu, these were the second-ranked Mother-child Yin Soul Snakes on the Gu ranking list, cultivated from the yin qi eight hundred miles underground, nearly rivaling the top-ranked Ice Worm. Only the forr emphasized imnse power, while the latter stressed the essence of chilling cold.
How could these creatures be lightly tapped by this youngster and die?
Looking again at the two fingers on Ye Tian’s right hand, Shangjia Moti felt a trendous sense of crisis. Could this be so Peerless Divine Skill?
Unfortunately, Shangjia Moti had guessed right.
A colossal eagle dove down from the sky, encapsulated in an unstoppable imposing aura. Ye Tian was surrounded by flying sand and stones whipped up by the fierce wind; he looked up, slightly squinting his eyes troubled by the tempest making it hard to keep them open.
The diving eagle swooped down, Panchen unleashed a Finger pointing upward, colliding with equally imnse forces;
Black deathly aura, Clear Wind Gang Qi, both fiercely slamd into each other;
However, the sizes of the two forces were drastically unequal;
Yet, the one with furrowed brows was Shangjia Moti standing in the distance.
Impossible!
A strong sense of defeat surged from the depths of his heart. What was this man’s background? The last ti he saw him, he just had a more intense aura. Why such a rapid improvent over just a few days? What exactly was this technique that it could defeat my Great Gu Insect Skill?
Watching Ye Tian still trembling in his legs, the Great Zen Master scoffed, "What a disgrace!"
It seed Ye Tian sensed the disdain emanating from the Great Zen Master nearby. His body jolted upright, hand on his hip in a majestic pose, he yelled towards the distant Shangjia Moti, "Bring it on! This little thing is not even enough to pick my teeth."
Shangjia Moti contained his rage, only chanting his spells more diligently. The palms in front of his chest knotted faster, his fingers forming more nurous Dharma Seals. As he ford each Dharma Seal, the ground beneath his feet would crack open a bit more. Ye Tian, unsure of Shangjia Moti’s tactics, could only wait quietly and think whether to interfere at this mont. But the thought vanished as quickly as it had appeared. He had tested it before; it seed this man’s body could infinitely reconfigure itself, it does not matter if it’s bashed to a pulp.
Inside, the situation was incredibly tense, while outside, much more relaxed.
As always, spectators were the most relaxed - even if there was a life or death fight on stage, they just sat and watched, praising with so rewards if they felt good, or cursing at how poorly the fighters perford.
