Ever since he achieved the Small Zen Realm, his eyes could see things at night as if it were dayti, no longer distinguishing between day and night. Everything can be scrutinized, but his secular heart suffered, as it was inherently worldly, yet had to repeatedly pore over this Sanskrit scripture that he couldn’t understand, which was sheer self-inflicted suffering! After reading every single word, Ye Tian still couldn’t grasp their aning. If he couldn’t understand the words, how could he comprehend their significance! However, at least he has chanted the Buddhist scriptures, so he could have so confidence when speaking about it.

Durbar Square was the main battlefield for this Buddhist Law conference, so naturally, it was bustling with people. As it was the very heart of the city of temples, it was naturally a destination everyone must visit. Whether they were real Buddhist disciples or had Fake Buddha Heart, they all ca here to join the fun. If not to see others, they ca to witness the glow of the Buddha Bead Relics. They say humans can beco gods through Immortal Cultivation, but that’s simply human wishful thinking. However, rumor has it that so Buddhist masters here possess genuine skill, and getting a chance to witness them in action would make this trip worthwhile.

Ye Tian mingled with the crowd, his instep trampled several tis to the point of extre pain.

"Have you heard? This ti there are high monks from Huaxia who have co. This is unprecedented."

"You just found out? Not only from Huaxia, I heard that several figures of the Pope’s stature from Europe have also rushed over."

"The Pope? Aren’t they supposed to never leave the Church Court?"

"Hey, who knows. Let’s go, all the good spots will be taken by others soon."

A few hurriedly walked past Ye Tian, one of them bumping his shoulder and then offering an apologetic smile. Ye Tian nodded to show he didn’t mind.

Looking around, there indeed were all sorts of people!

The center of the square was occupied by devout Buddhists in yellow kasayas or holding rosewood prayer beads, with eyes sparkling with devoted faith to Buddhism, free of any secular distractions. Ye Tian, not considering himself a devout Buddhist, felt uncomfortable remaining among them and preferred the small vendors doing business on the square’s periphery. He approached a grill stand with Huaxia style, glanced over the nu, which was full of the most vegetarian options like kelp, spinach, and other vegetables. How could you grill these? Seeing Ye Tian sitting down, the waiter ca over and greeted him warmly with a "hello."

Ye Tian scratched his head, wanting to ask if there were any at dishes but held back, considering this was a sacred place for Buddhists. He might get beaten up for asking, so he pondered and then inquired, "Do you have any other dishes here?" This seed like a more appropriate question.

"There’s Amaranthus tricolour and violets, and so others are listed on our nu. Feel free to take a look," the waiter replied still enthusiastically.

Ye Tian flipped through the nu, still seeing no trace of at.

"Is everything listed here?" he asked again, unconvinced.

"Yes, sir, everything is listed here," the waiter continued with undiminished enthusiasm. Ye Tian checked left and right; other patrons were eating joyfully, unhesitant about consuming all sorts of colorful vegetables, with no concern for the at-vegetable distinction. Swallowing his saliva, Ye Tian thought to himself, if I don’t go to Hell, who will? He reluctantly ordered two servings of Chinese cabbage and two cucumbers. It’s just too bad that there were no leeks on the nu; otherwise, he would have ordered a good ten skewers for their virility-enhancing properties!

"How many days will this Buddhism conference last?"

With business slow, the waiter sat down after Ye Tian placed his order, resting his chin on his hands and watching the surging crowd in the distance, probably worrying about his business. When Ye Tian spoke, the waiter turned his head, "Three days in total. The first day is spent in seated debates, the second day is when the Buddha Bead Relics will be displayed in a grand eting, and all Buddhists can admire their grandeur, and the third day is the Seizing Body Conference."

"Seizing Body Conference? What sort of eting is that? A fight?"

The waiter blinked, who would have been quite the charr if not for the suntanned skin, "You must be a tourist from outside, right?"

Ye Tian nodded, "Indeed, it’s my first ti here. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have ended up here for a barbecue." Internally he added, and it’s a vegetable barbecue at that.

"Truth be told, what you ntioned about fighting and such is rumored to exist, but I’ve been here for over a decade and have never seen any of these so-called Seizing Body events. They make it sound so fierce, but really, it’s just for scaring people. On the third day, they will just symbolically announce the guardians of the Buddha Beads and relics, that’s all. There’s no real seizing involved."

As the waiter finished speaking, several new custors arrived, and the waiter got up to tend to them, leaving Ye Tian alone to silently gnaw on his cucumber. The cucumber was too tough, and he had to peel off the skin first before he could eat it.

...

"On behalf of the Nepal City Governnt, I welco all international friends. With everyone’s constant efforts, world Buddhism has had a significant growth and developnt opportunity and has also allowed more people to understand and focus on the developnt of Buddhism..."

The opening ceremony was essential, and the speaker was a governnt official. Following him was the Minister of Energy, who also served as the chairman of the Buddhist Council, the sa competitor that Joe Johnson was wary of. Ye Tian stood in the crowd and glanced over, realizing that this person wasn’t as unlikable as he had imagined, probably due to Joe Johnson’s existing bias.

Above, speeches were still ongoing, and Ye Tian weaved through the crowd to a spot closer to the stage. The Esoteric Master told him that the Buddhist debate wasn’t just for the masters to discuss; ordinary people would also be invited to debate. Ye Tian could use this opportunity to get onstage and rightfully participate in the Seizing Body Conference later.

But where exactly would the Seizing Body Conference take place? In a place most could not see. Ye Tian shook his head, wondering how many masters would reveal themselves here.

Among the ordinary setting of the monastic crowd, there was no particular eye-catching place, but the power of a few masters on the stage made Ye Tian quite wary. He hid in the shadows, beginning to compare his own capabilities with theirs.

The participants hadn’t all arrived yet, but Ye Tian had already identified five with so real prowess.

The first two were the Skull Master and the Black Armored Master whom Ye Tian had encountered before in front of Nushen Tower. Having seen them before, although they hadn’t clashed, anyone who could make a Great Zen Master wary warranted no doubt. The third person was a monk in a golden kasaya and kindly eyes, holding a Nine Dragon Zen Staff, likely from Huaxia. The aura of an Eastern Cultivator radiated unmistakably from him.
