Chapter 473: 472

Seeing that the situation was about right, Ye Tian jumped down from White Bull’s back and said to Jenny, “Since they won’t take us, let’s not force them. Granny, please rest well, we won’t disturb you anymore.”

The old lady didn’t have ti to care about them; she was squatting there softly comforting Bai. But no matter what she said, Bai turned his back to her, completely ignoring her.

Ye Tian and the other person hadn’t reached the door when the old woman behind them called out, “You, stop right there!”

Ye Tian turned around.

“You made Bai cry, you need to take responsibility!”

Looking at the old woman’s upset face, Ye Tian chuckled and spread his hands, “I’m neither his father nor his mother, what can I do?”

The old woman jabbed her white stick into the ground, and the door that had just opened imdiately shut.

“If you don’t make Bai happy, you won’t be leaving today!”

Ye Tian was also stubborn, inserting his hands into his armpits, “I do have a way, but that thod is in the temple, you figure it out yourself.”

Ye Tian understood that the reasons she had just stated were not genuine reasons at all; they were just far-fetched excuses made to deal with him. Originally, he had no interest in these so-called temples, but after seeing the supernatural power on the old woman, his curiosity towards the temple greatly increased, especially what she ntioned about the Buddha Bead Relics, which could be a fantastic thing. Why pass up on good things? Isn’t it foolish not to take advantage?

“Impossible! You aren’t a follower, and cannot enter.”

“Then forget it; let Bai cry continuously until he goes blind!”

The old woman was stunned, “How did you know it’s called Bai?”

“Ha, I told you I can talk to him, but you didn’t believe .”

The old woman pondered for a while, then raised her head, “Kid, once you go in, whether it brings fortune or disaster, be prepared. There are so old fellows inside that I dare not provoke. You might see things that you usually wouldn’t be able to see. If you get bewitched, don’t bla for not warning you beforehand.”

“Don’t worry, I’m just there to watch the fun, I absolutely won’t cause trouble for the seniors.”

The old woman muttered ‘like I’d believe that’ under her breath, and then glanced again at Bai, who was still crying. Ye Tian grasped her intentions, “I’ll cheer up Bai right away.”

Seeing Ye Tian walked up to Bai, human eyes eting bull’s eyes, eyes locked, Ye Tian muttered under his breath, “Van, tuu, saree, enough? Wash away, wash away, oh, wash away, wash away…”

Bai was startled, then followed the rhythm and began to dance enthusiastically.

Chapter Two Hundred and Eighty-Six: Forbidden Land

Two won were walking in front, followed by Ye Tian, who was leading, no, riding the White Bull. It seed that the bull hadn’t yet recovered from the sheer joy it had experienced; it was sowhat unsteady on its hooves, occasionally needing to shuffle its front and back feet. Ye Tian, on the other hand, was quite happy, enjoying a ride akin to a massage chair, much to the envy of the old lady walking ahead, wondering since when had Bai been so compliant to her. It was good enough that Bai wasn’t being stubborn.

It seed to purposely irk the old lady in front, Ye Tian occasionally patted Bai’s head and lanted, “Even the best things beco useless in the hands of those who can’t appreciate them. Poor Bai, you’ve lived so suffocated all these years.”

The old lady turned around and glared fiercely at Ye Tian, but he simply brushed it off with a laugh, completely unscathed.

With no other choice, she continued walking forward.

The temple was located in the center of Durbar Square, and naturally, to reach the temple from the alley, they had to pass through the crowded throngs of people and nurous temples large and small. Clearly, the passersby were far more curious about White Bull than about the old lady in front; along the way, many eyes were fixated on Bai. Just like in India, people in Nepal regarded cows very highly, admittedly not more than their ancestors but still with significant reverence; furthermore, a white bull was indeed a rarity, attracting more attention.

Ye Tian noticed many spectators were tourists with caras around their necks. Photography by tourists was prohibited during cremations of monks at Durbar Square, but there were no such restrictions during normal tis. The sounds of cara shutters were incessant.

“Arrogant!”

This assessnt was rather blunt, but Ye Tian didn’t mind. He flicked the bull’s butt, and Bai briskly walked a few steps forward to walk alongside the old lady, “Grandma, what did you just say?”

Although the old lady was hunched over, it did not affect her walking speed. Within a few steps, she had left Ye Tian behind. Jenny tugged on Ye Tian’s sleeve and said, “Sir, you should get down. People here really like cows, and I’m worried that if they get too emotional…”

Ye Tian nodded, jumped down from the bull’s back, definitely not wanting to be chased by the whole town over a calf, as it wasn’t worth it.

The two of them and the cow followed behind the old lady at a leisurely pace.

“Miss Jenny, why does your teacher not want us to enter the temple? I understand about , but why not even you?”

Jenny spoke, “Inside the temple, there are five Masters, and my teacher is one of them. The responsibility of these five Masters is to guard the legendary Buddha Bead Relics, but this has also led to disputes. Among the five Masters, three are Brahmin, and two are Buddhists… Oh, but it’s different from the Buddhism in Huaxia, it’s Esoteric Buddhism. My teacher is from Esoteric Buddhism, and the other Esoteric Buddhist Master passed away ten years ago, so…”

“Three against one? Indeed, that’s a problem. If it were , I would avoid it too.”

“Right, but my teacher says the Buddha Bead Relics are in danger, so he insists on staying here to guard them.”

Ye Tian paused, then smiled aningfully, “Miss Jenny, that’s a lot of information you just shared. Seems like your teacher really doesn’t trust the other three Brahmin Masters!”

Realizing she might have spoken out of turn, Jenny didn’t say anymore and hurriedly caught up to the old lady ahead. Ye Tian continued to walk leisurely with Bai, who also occasionally ran and jumped around, seemingly still replaying the song Ye Tian had sung earlier in its mind.

A temple is a temple for a reason, uniquely marked by features such as its wide gates and the eight grandiose Angry-eyed Vajra Statues standing around the gate, all conveying a majestic and inviolable aura. Any sneakiness here would only lead to being thoroughly vanquished.

However, Ye Tian wasn’t intimidated by these; if he wasn’t afraid of real people, why would he fear these stone statues that couldn’t talk or move? Touching Bai’s cheek, the little guy’s trembling body imdiately cald down, seemingly feeling sothing, clinging even closer to Ye Tian, constantly rubbing against him.
