"Er Yuehong really ca!"
"How is that possible? Didn’t Li Hao trick us before?"
"But the car is already parked in front of the stage; they’re setting up the backstage and installing the sound system. It’s said Er Yuehong will be here tonight."
"I just heard soone say Er Yuehong is Lin Yifan’s friend!"
"See, that’s a real person hiding their true abilities. The luxury car they drive speaks volus!"
"I’ve always said he’s destined for great things!"
Yet the sa group, talking two days later, had a completely opposite view.
Their confident tone showed no regard for having spoken negatively about him just the day before.
As the stage was further improved, a camper van parked at the entrance of the clinic.
Er Yuehong, wearing sunglasses, stepped out of the vehicle and headed straight into the clinic.
"Why are you here?"
Lin Yifan asked, watching Er Yuehong take off her sunglasses.
They had parted ways at dawn, believing they’d never et again.
Unexpectedly, she returned so soon.
"Although I was tricked before, just witnessing your brave act of saving others at the temple fair makes want to perform a benefit show for two days in Taoyuan Village as a reward for good deeds."
Er Yuehong, originally from a traditional Chinese opera background, had a captivatingly crisp voice.
Along with her bright eyes, snow-white teeth, and slim figure, complented by an exquisite face, she was the embodint of elegance.
In her white dress, simple and elegant, enhanced by high heels that accentuated her tall stature.
Her graceful mannerisms and sweet smile brought warmth to everyone’s heart.
"A good person? You should think carefully before using those words. So things just aren’t as they seem."
Tang Qin frowned slightly, feeling quite displeased.
She couldn’t understand how his life, as a village rustic, was always graced with such stunning beauties.
Especially this ti, as even a top-tier celebrity unexpectedly appeared, which was simply astonishing.
"I just heard he helped the police uncover a kidnapping case. If even the police-issued banner can’t prove he’s a good person, then you definitely lack credibility."
Er Yuehong, with her smart intuition, instantly sensed Tang Qin’s jealousy towards Lin Yifan.
She then deliberately moved closer to him, picking up the banner to examine it.
"Being brave doesn’t an you’re not a flirt. You’d better be careful not to be fooled by so playboy, ending up as his dish, and ruining your life."
Tang Qin glared at Lin Yifan.
"If he can attract to willingly beco a dish, it shows he possesses unique charm, and being a dish wouldn’t matter. Perhaps soone else can’t even enter his pond and will regret it deeply."
Er Yuehong turned around with a smile, looking at the flushed Tang Qin.
Growing up in a traditional opera troupe, she had seen her fair share of drama queens.
"Then be your dish!"
Tang Qin glared angrily at Er Yuehong and turned to walk out.
But as she pushed the door open, she stopped and turned back to Lin Yifan.
"Don’t forget your promise to ; I need to find you whenever necessary!"
With that, she finally stepped out.
"Hurting a woman’s heart, be careful of her revenge."
Leaning against the counter, Er Yuehong smiled at Lin Yifan.
"You shouldn’t have co back."
Lin Yifan turned his head, his expression serious at the mont.
"Rest assured, I’m not here for anything in the Black Bear Valley."
Er Yuehong picked up the banner and hung it on the wall’s nail.
"I’ve warned you, if there’s a next ti, no one can save you."
Lin Yifan said coldly.
"After last night, I believe what I seek isn’t in the Black Bear Valley, so I have no reason to take risks."
Er Yuehong replied with a smile.
"Then what are you after?"
It was clear she wasn’t lying, so Lin Yifan curiously asked.
"The tomb of Jin Shi Zu, Wanyan Helib, the father of Jin Dynasty’s founding Emperor, Wanyan Aguda. Just last month, soone acquired an antique at the market that was authenticated as belonging to Jin State. According to records, the birthplace of Jin State was in Northeast, and Wanyan Helib was buried within White Mountain and Black Water."
Er Yuehong pulled up a chair and sat down.
"You’re now a top-tier star, with reportedly millions per film. Why bother with this profession?"
Lin Yifan shook his head.
Though tomb raiding was an old profession, those who did it initially did so out of desperation.
Given Er Yuehong’s current status, she shouldn’t have any concerns about food and drink.
"Aren’t you adept at face reading? Then tell , why am I in this line of work?"
Er Yuehong intentionally moved the chair closer to Lin Yifan.
Her eyes, cut like water, gazed at him.
"A childhood of hardship, reliant on charity als; short nose and thin lips, fleeting as a flower; your life short-lived?"
Lin Yifan examined her delicate features with uncertainty.
A dark aura surrounded her vital points; weak and shallow nasolabial folds.
Judging by her age, her lifeline was nearing its end.
"You’re indeed a feng shui master; you’ve seen it all. Thirty-six thousand lives, nine taken by heaven. A fortune teller once said I’m dood, unlikely to live past twenty-three. Which ans I have less than six months left. To survive, I must find the legendary Dan Pearl. Historical records suggest Wanyan Helib’s burial treasures include a Western Regions’ Dan Pearl. If found, it can prolong life and fate."
As Er Yuehong thought of her remaining six months, her mood dimd.
"I see, then feel free to do as you wish. Other than Black Bear Valley, I’m not in charge elsewhere. If you need help, you can talk to Xiao Cui; she might know what you’re seeking."
Unexpectedly, she too had the destined-to-die young fate, drawing Lin Yifan closer.
In a way, both shared similar hardships.
As they spoke, noise ca from outside.
Apparently, Er Yuehong’s bodyguards were blocking soone at the entrance.
"Let her in."
Seeing it was Xiao Cui arriving, Lin Yifan promptly said.
The bodyguards glanced at Er Yuehong, waiting until she nodded in agreent to let her in.
"Er Yuehong Sister, you’re really here!"
Xiao Cui exclaid, covering her mouth in surprise, looking at Er Yuehong seated there.
Though eting for the second ti, Xiao Cui remained incredibly excited as a devoted fan.
"You’re Xiao Cui, right? Last ti was too rushed; I didn’t get your number. I rember you said you specialize in classical dance. Coincidentally, I have a show needing talent performances; can you teach a routine?"
Er Yuehong’s charm was extrely high.
Along with being an idol, she quickly gained a little sister.
"Now everyone knows you’re here; otherwise, I’d take you to my ho to play. There’s a dedicated dance room."
Xiao Cui glanced outside the window at the villagers holding up their phones, helpless.
"That’s easy; just jump out from the back window."
Er Yuehong perked up with interest, sensing the unique dynamics between Xiao Cui and Lin Yifan.
To achieve her goals, Er Yuehong knew she’d have to first strengthen these relationships.
"Is this okay? You are, after all, a big star."
Xiao Cui said in surprise.
"What’s the big deal? Starting now, no more stars here; just call Ms. Er Yue. Let’s go."
Er Yuehong took Xiao Cui’s hand and jumped out the back window.
As she left, she threw Lin Yifan a loving wink.
However, Lin Yifan had no interest in this drama anymore.
Since returning to the village, one person remained absent, keeping him concerned.
