Fireworks exploded in the air, illuminating everyone’s faces.
Lin Fan, surrounded by the crowd, looked at the red lips that were so close.
He felt a sense of urgency, like an arrow on a bowstring that must be released.
He knew clearly that if he kissed those lips, it would be a complete commitnt. But if he didn’t, the Golden Saber might as well pierce his heart.
With no retreat, he finally lowered his head and kissed Han Peipei’s tender jade lips.
Sweetness entered his throat, the scent lingered on his teeth. Though it wasn’t their first kiss, it was the first ti they kissed in front of everyone. The aning of this kiss was completely different—it was like announcing to the world that Lin Fan had truly beco the Han Family’s perfect son-in-law.
At this mont, both were imrsed in the excitent of a passionate kiss between a man and a woman. However, in the crowd, not everyone was smiling. Even if they did smile, who could truly know their thoughts?
"Happy Birthday."
Holding Han Peipei’s waist, Lin Fan looked straight into her eyes.
The blushing Han Peipei shyly leaned against his chest.
She glanced surreptitiously at the wryly smiling Liu Lingfei, and at Han Longhu, who stood beside her, lost in thought.
"Let’s go cut the birthday cake then."
Holding Lin Fan’s hand, Han Peipei, smiling radiantly, led him back to the seven-tier cake. Picking up the knife, she cut the first piece for her sweetheart, while Lin Fan held the cake and looked around.
He was searching, though he couldn’t quite say what he was looking for. That strange sixth sense just made him a bit at a loss, but the faces of the guests were all smiling and chatting, making it impossible to discern the target of his search.
"The prince and princess are together now."
Receiving the cake, Liu Lingfei winked at Han Peipei and said, "Should I wish you a fast-growing family then?"
"Get out of here, you haven’t changed a bit since I last saw you."
Han Peipei blushed and rolled her eyes at her: "Hurry and eat more, keep your mouth busy."
"My mouth can be stuffed with cake, but what about your body?"
Liu Lingfei licked the cake, her mischievous smile leaving Han Peipei speechless, who could only pout and walk toward her brother.
"Brother, have so cake."
"Thank you, sis."
Receiving the cake, Han Longhu looked at his sister’s rosy face: "By the way, all the rooms in this villa are tidied up and ready for living in. I think it’s about ti; let’s wrap up the party in another half hour."
As soon as he said this, Han Peipei’s face turned even redder, like a fully ripened apple, since the implication was quite obvious.
So she turned back, holding her wine glass, and dragged Lin Fan along to drink with the guests who had co.
"Drink a little less, will you?"
Seeing Han Peipei gulping down drink after drink, Lin Fan whispered in her ear.
Even though the alcohol wasn’t strong, drinking like this wasn’t a good idea, especially since she normally wouldn’t touch a drop.
"What, can’t I have fun on my birthday?"
Han Peipei stuck out her tongue, and her beautiful face was already flushed pink from the alcohol.
"Of course you can, I’m just worried you’ll get drunk."
Lin Fan’s concern was t with an eye roll: "What is this amount of alcohol, I can still drink!"
Unfortunately, ten minutes later, Han Peipei’s eyes were already glazed, and her smile carried a playful hint.
Seeing this, Lin Fan naturally had to support her as they walked into the villa. Little did he know, the next mont, Han Longhu announced the end of the party, and as everyone left, the entire villa fell into a serene silence.
