Even Lin Fan looked at her with confusion. He truly hadn’t expected that the silver necklace given by his aunt had such a mysterious story behind it. It was astonishing.
"Didn’t you know?"
Han Peipei raised her head and looked at Lin Fan’s face, who then awkwardly smiled and said, "Honestly, I didn’t know. This gift was prepared for by soone else. She picked out this necklace, ensuring that you would like it."
Lin Fan’s honest answer made Han Peipei pause, but she quickly let out a reassuring smile.
After taking the necklace off, she held it in the palm of her hand and pointed to the heart-shaped pendant, where the character "Hui" was clearly visible.
"This is my mother’s na and her beloved possession. She wore it for many years, and my brother and I saw it when we were little. But later on, we didn’t know where it went. My mother never ntioned it until her death. If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, I’d probably have forgotten."
Han Peipei’s words sent Lin Fan’s mind racing, though he still couldn’t find an answer. One thing was for sure: Han Peipei’s mother and his father must have so connection. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have appeared in that sandalwood box.
"Alright, you’ve just returned. It’s better you go inside and change into so new clothes. Lin Fan’s clothes are wet too; go in together and change. The birthday party is about to begin. We can talk later."
With everyone gathered around, many things were inconvenient to discuss, so Liu Lingfei quickly ushered the two into the mansion to change clothes. anwhile, Han Longhu led the guests along the path to the venue, demonstrating gracefulness all the way. In a corner where no one noticed, Wang Yaoyang picked up the phone and dialed a number. Soon, the call was answered.
"Young Master Wang, what brings you to call ?"
The voice on the line belonged to Zhao Chuanchun.

Wang Yaoyang said in a sarcastic tone.

Zhao Chuanchun asked puzzledly.
