The morning sunlight shone on the big bed.
Accompanied by the ring of the phone, Lin Fan finally opened his eyes groggily.
Looking at Bai Xue and Su Yufei lying beside him, the three had partied crazily last night. Who knows how many tis they played until they were exhausted and finally fell asleep deeply.
"Hello?"
Lin Fan, groping for his phone and pressing the answer button, heard his aunt’s voice on the line: "How are you? Can you get out of bed?"
"Of course, no problem."
The sound of answering the phone also woke the two won slowly. As they got up, each kissed Lin Fan on the cheek and twisted their white butts as they ran to the bathroom.
"I’ll have people send clothes and breakfast to the room. et in the hotel lobby in an hour."
Boss Qi paused and continued: "Today, you’re going to pay respects to your mother, but you absolutely must not call aunt, nor admit it’s for paying respects to your mother, understood?"
"I rember; I’ll secretly say it in my heart."
Lin Fan did not ask for the reason because he could guess his aunt was protecting him.
After all, in this Provincial City, he was just a newcor, unfamiliar with people and places. If he were conspired against, the consequences would be unimaginable.
Seeing as the Qing Gang situation now concealed many things he did not know, he had no reason to take that risk.
He hung up the phone and stretched as he walked into the bathroom. The toothpaste had already been squeezed out, while the two won entered the separate shower area for their final wash. As their lithe bodies swayed in front of him, Lin Fan sat on the toilet brushing his teeth and seed to take pleasure in it.
After freshening up, breakfast and clothes were delivered. Lin Fan wore a black suit that made him look especially handso. Bai Xue and Su Yufei wore black dress skirts, considering it was for paying respects they kept it simple, without flair.
An hour later, Lin Fan ca to the hotel lobby with the two beauties in tow. A convoy of cars had already been waiting there; everyone traveling, whether male or female, wore black clothing, their solemnity tinged with a trace of dignity.
"We can set off; ride with ."
Boss Qi, wearing high heels and a long black dress with a high collar that hid the deep cleavage, showed that soone normally dressed seductively had restrained herself when paying respects to her sister.
Wearing a black sun hat, she spoke to Lin Fan before getting into the middle of the elongated limousine in the convoy. Lin Fan followed and got into the car; Su Yufei and Bai Xue sat in another vehicle. Subsequently, a fleet of over a dozen black cars headed toward the suburbs.
When the cars stopped at a manor, Lin Fan, having disembarked, looked at Boss Qi puzzled; paying respects to one’s parents should be at a burial place. Why did they co to such a traditional manor?
"This is the Main Temple of the Qing Gang, your mother’s morial tablet is enshrined here."
Seeing Lin Fan’s confusion, Boss Qi whispered to him.
"No tomb?"
Hearing this, Lin Fan couldn’t help but ask.
"No, when your parents were attacked before and behind by an oil tanker causing an explosion, it took a whole night to put out the fire, leaving no remains. So there is no dedicated burial place; I made a cenotaph in the backyard as a morial."
Boss Qi ascended the steps, carrying a pipe and wearing high heels. At that mont, the vermilion door split open, and Lin Fan followed her inside while the others filed in, passing through the front garden to the rear courtyard.
The central main building is used for etings, and to the left of it is a hall where the tablets of the Qing Gang leaders are placed. In a small room beside it, invited morial tablets are placed there.
Seeing the na Dou Yue’e on a morial tablet there, this counts as the first ti Lin Fan knows information about his mother’s na.
Su Yufei and Bai Xue personally placed the offerings they brought, a selection of fruits and flowers, as the highest ritual respect for the dead.
Because Lin Fan’s identity needed to be hidden, he could not take the lead. Boss Qi put down the pipe and pulled over a mat, only sitting cross-legged on it. She removed her hat, letting her smooth black hair fall on her shoulder: "Sis, I’m here to see you; you should be very happy today, right?"
Facing the cold morial, Boss Qi seed to have seen her sister, speaking with a sowhat choking voice. As for Lin Fan standing to the side, he just dumbly stared at the lonely morial tablet, unable to imagine his mother’s likeness with no photo, yet his eyes grew a bit moist.
The spacious room was filled with silence aside from Boss Qi’s voice; no one dared to speak, as she was the saddest person at this ti. But amidst this silence, a sharp voice ca from the courtyard, causing everyone to frown involuntarily.
"Well, what wind blew Boss Qi to the Main Temple today? This is truly a great day of celebration!"
That drake-like voice alone indicated bad intentions.
Lin Fan’s expression turned serious, looking at the man entering through the moon gate.
Perhaps, this is the inner turmoil of the Qing Gang.
And Boss Qi slowly rose, wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes, and coldly said, "Dogskin Hou, your parents didn’t die today; it’s not a great day of celebration!"
