Chapter 57: Chapter 057: True Person Saves Disciples at Flower-Fruit Mountain Chapter 57: Chapter 057: True Person Saves Disciples at Flower-Fruit Mountain The story tells of Li Jing leading an army of one hundred thousand to besiege Flower-Fruit Mountain; however, the vanguard officer, the Pagoda-bearing God, was captured, dampening their aggressive spirit. After regrouping for a night, they waited until noon the next day.

As noon arrived, banners were unfurled, the soldiers were strong as tigers scaling mountains, and the horses brave as dragons leaving islands. Each one as formidable as dragons and fierce as tigers, they arrived in front of the Water Curtain Cave, ready to fight under today’s commanding general, Nezha. Nezha, holding his fire-tipped spear, standing on his Wind-Fire Wheels, girded with the Heavenly Mixed Silk Ribbon, and bearing the Qiankun Ring on his shoulder, looked majestic and commanding as he called out for battle at the cave entrance.

A little demon rushed into the cave to report, shouting, “Great Saint, a young general outside challenges us to battle, standing on two fire wheels and wielding a long spear.”

Wukong laughed and said, “It must be Nezha who has co. I’ll go out to et him. You brothers wait inside the cave. If Li Jing thinks to overwhelm us with numbers, then you can join the fight and catch them off guard.”

His six brothers all nodded in agreent, sat down calmly, and Wukong then took up his cloak to don, grasping the Ruyi Jingu Bang in his hand, and strode out from the Water Curtain Cave.

Upon seeing Wukong, Nezha commanded, “Demon Monkey, release the Pagoda-bearing God at once, and I might spare your life!”

Wukong couldn’t help but laugh and said, “Where did this brat co from, daring to speak to your Grandfather Sun like that?”

Nezha, hearing Wukong’s insolent words, could no longer contain his rage. He cursed, “Rowdy Monkey! You don’t recognize ? I am the Third Prince Nezha of the Pagoda-bearing God. By the decree of the Jade Emperor, I have co specially to capture you!”

Wukong replied with a smirk, “I wonder if you’ve even shed your baby hair, yet you dare to co for your Grandfather Sun?”

Nezha cursed, “You impudent monkey! Take this spear from !”

Nezha brandished his purple fla serpent-tooth fire-tipped spear and charged forward, and Wukong, knowing the youngster’s capabilities, certainly did not dare to underestimate him.

Though referred to as a youngster, Nezha’s actual age was not young, but because he lacked a physical body, his current form was still one shaped by True Man Taiyi from lotus roots. That speaks to the underlying grudge between Li Jing and Nezha but let’s not dwell on that now.

Wukong wielded his Ruyi Jingu Bang, and after only two exchanges with Nezha, the latter was shocked to find that the demon monkey’s strength and staff technique were virtually impeccable. If they continued to asure martial arts, he feared he might be killed by a blow from the staff!

Wukong’s martial arts were highly skilled, and Nezha was no match, so he had to rely on his magical treasure. He then raised the Heavenly Mixed Silk Ribbon, which transford into a red divine dragon in the sky, roaring as it approached. The Heavenly Mixed Silk Ribbon was extrely powerful, similar yet distinct from the prowess of the Demon-binding Rope belonging to Yang Jian. Once entangled by it, one would imdiately lose the ability to resist. Wukong, of course, did not dare to be careless and cautiously responded with the Five Elents Great Escape Divine Skills. In an instant, he appeared behind Nezha, and with a swing of his staff aid straight at Nezha’s head, he plunged down hard. Had that blow connected, it likely would have resulted in a burst brain, and even the Primordial Spirit would have been killed.

Nezha, however, had been well-prepared. Knowing that Wukong was not only excellent in martial arts but also adept in Taoist arts, he sprouted an additional head at his neck and grew two more arms from his back. With these extra arms, he took up the Qiankun Ring, holding each side with one hand, lifting it up as if he was a strongman hefting a cauldron.

“Clang!”

The staff struck the Qiankun Ring with a crisp sound, its powerful force blasting outward, causing surrounding trees to be uprooted and rocks on the ground to crack apart. The might of the Qiankun Ring was also formidable; when Nezha casually washed it in the river, it shook the Eastern Sea Dragon Palace continuously. If the Dragon Palace had not been as weak at that ti as it was, it would not have been so helpless against a child.

“Ah, what imnse strength this monkey has!” Nezha exclaid, and his neck grew another head with two more arms, one drawing the Demon-slaying Sword and the other wielding the Demon-Slaying Knife, and he slashed at Wukong.

Wukong, relentless, scolded, “You milk-scented brat, you actually have so strength to tangle with your Grandfather Sun!”

Nezha was furious and slashed violently with his sword three tis in succession. Sword light twisted like snakes and dragons, and the knife light was fierce like tigers and leopards, each strike exceedingly aggressive and sharp, as if he wished to slay Wukong on the spot!

“You brat, why so violent?” Wukong’s body shook, and he too transford into three heads and six arms, each pair of hands wielding a golden staff to et Nezha’s attacks.

But Nezha was, after all, ard with more—and significantly more powerful—magical treasures. Wukong’s additional two golden staffs, re extensions of himself, were not as mighty as the original, and it did not take long for Nezha’s Demon-Slaying Knife and Sword to fill them with cracks. Just a couple more strikes would shatter them.

All of a sudden, Wukong let out a howl, and Nezha saw a burst of blood-red light rushing towards him. He hastily threw the Qiankun Ring, only for it to be struck squarely by the blood light that extinguished its golden radiance. The Qiankun Ring fell to the ground with a crisp sound, dim and lightless, wrapped in the blood light. Nezha quickly summoned his mana, but the Qiankun Ring lay still, unable to break free from the blood light.

“Ah! The Blood God Child clone. Are you a denizen of the Netherworld Blood Sea, monkey?” Nezha was taken aback, hoisted his fire-tipped spear, which blazed brightly, crackling noisily as it enveloped the Blood God Child clone, and with a downward thrust, it burst open on the spot.

Wukong imdiately felt a slight pain in his Primordial Spirit, but it was not significant. He thought to himself, “This fragnt of my Primordial Spirit hasn’t been separated for long, and the Blood God Child is still too fragile. To be destroyed so easily and actually harm my essence! It seems I must fully cultivate the Blood God Child before showing it off, lest I make a fool of myself.”

Wukong was heartbroken when Nezha used his Fire-tipped Spear to annihilate one of his Blood God Child avatars. He quickly stepped on the Qiankun Ring to prevent it from escaping and summoned another Blood God Child to wrap around the ring, taking it far into the depths of the Water Curtain Cave.

Nezha, seeing Wukong confiscate his Qiankun Ring, was furious and exclaid, “Return my magical treasure!”

He unleashed the Heavenly Mixed Silk Ribbon, which transford into a long dragon and chased after the Blood God Child avatar in an attempt to retrieve the Qiankun Ring. The Qiankun Ring, nad after “Heaven and Earth,” was exceedingly powerful; “Qian” represents the heavens and “Kun” the earth. Its very na suggested that it could overturn both heaven and earth and upset the Four Seas once unleashed.

Wukong retorted, “Why should I care where your grandfather is from? Prepare to die!”

During the skirmish, Nezha took the opportunity to hurl a golden brick at Wukong, catching him off guard. Wukong swung his Jingu Bang, and with a crisp clanging sound, the head of the staff struck the brick, sending golden light and sparks flying in all directions, deflecting the brick. This sneaky tactic from Nezha was quite formidable; the golden brick was inscribed with nurous talismans and, if thrown at soone, could cause an instant explosion of brains upon striking a target of less resilient flesh. Wukong had been distracted by hurling insults and had underestimated Nezha’s efforts to reclaim his Qiankun Ring, not expecting this seemingly childlike figure—who was in fact a seasoned warrior—to suddenly attack with a golden brick. If Wukong hadn’t reacted promptly, his brains might have indeed been splattered.

“Such a treacherous child!” Wukong shouted, raising his Jingu Bang to strike again.

Yet Nezha’s Heavenly Mixed Silk Ribbon suddenly whipped back, binding Wukong. But before he could exert any force, Wukong transford into a puff of white smoke. Sensing sothing was amiss, Nezha quickly turned around, releasing all his magical treasures one after another into the air, interweaving into a vast net.

Sure enough, Wukong dove from above, executing a Force Split Mount Hua attack, which landed with a thunderous impact on the net of magical treasures. The resulting sparks sent Nezha’s feet plunging deep into the ground, burying up to his knees before the force subsided. At the sa ti, Nezha felt his internal organs shake. He thrust his Fire-tipped Spear towards Wukong, only to find that Wukong, the cunning one, had already withdrawn his Jingu Bang, transford into a great eagle, snatched Nezha’s Demon-slaying Sword and flew away. Dropping the sword on the ground, Wukong spat a mouthful of vital essence, and the Blood God Child avatar landed on the sword, clutching it as it returned to the Water Curtain Cave.

Unable to contain his frustration, Nezha yelled, “Ah! Infuriating monkey, taste my magical treasure!”

Wukong suddenly noticed Nezha holding a small bowl that emitted a red glow, a magical treasure he had never seen Nezha deploy before, piquing his curiosity.

“Whoosh!”

As Nezha chanted a spell, the small bowl burst into flas, and nine fire dragons erged, rushing towards Wukong.

Wukong cried out in alarm, “True Man Taiyi’s Nine Dragons Divine Fire Cover!”

This was True Man Taiyi’s magical treasure. Once the Nine Dragons Divine Fire Cover enclosed soone, the divine fire would activate and imdiately incinerate the person into ash, an extrely potent weapon.

Wukong quickly whisked out the Great Year Whip, which cracked with a snap, radiating red light and striking out, causing one of the fire dragons to stumble.

“Halt!”

Wukong then raised his God-Beating Whip, and eighty-four talismans flashed with golden light, shining towards Nezha. Though Nezha, who had ascended the Investiture of the Gods through physical sanctification, might only be affected seventy to eighty percent by the whip’s suppressing power, compared to other immortals, that was still alarmingly significant. The God-Beating Whip, after all, was made for striking immortals, and with a flash of golden light, Nezha was rendered immobile, causing the nine fire dragons to dissipate without his control.

“Ah!” Nezha bit the tip of his tongue and sprayed a mouthful of vital blood on the Heavenly Mixed Silk Ribbon, which then emitted a bright red light, blocking the golden light of the talismans from the God-Beating Whip, allowing him a bit of strength.

But Wukong was not inclined to let Nezha off easily. He sorsaulted into the air, his Ruyi Jingu Bang transforming into a towering, heaven-penetrating pillar as he smashed it down towards Nezha’s head!

Just as Nezha was about to be pulverized by Wukong’s staff, a flash of golden light appeared, followed by strands of horsetail whisk that enveloped Nezha, pulling him away from danger. Wukong’s blow missed and slamd into the top of the mountain instead, causing it to collapse with a thunderous crash, filling the air with dust. The Heavenly Soldiers and Generals watching from afar were trembling with fear.

Wukong cursed, “Which troublemaker spoiled my chance!”

A white-robed Taoist holding Nezha stood suspended in the void and gave Wukong a respectful bow, saying, “I am True Man Taiyi. I implore the Great Saint to show rcy, as this is my only disciple.”

Wukong was secretly astonished and hadn’t expected even True Man Taiyi to intervene, potentially a Daluo Golden Immortal—or even a Mixed Yuan Golden Immortal level expert.

“True Man Taiyi, have you co to my Flower-Fruit Mountain to battle with ?” Wukong asked, sowhat worried. If True Man Taiyi decided to intervene, then victory at Flower-Fruit Mountain would be in peril.
