Li Jiaxu said, "I have to continue recording the show later. Please wait to call and beg the higher-ups; this endorsent can’t be revoked, even if it ans waiving the endorsent fee. It can’t... lose my endorsent."
So endorsents elevate one’s status.
So endorsents are for comrcial interests.
The Estee Lauder endorsent was sothing she struggled to secure.
Estee Lauder is a beauty brand established for ten years, encompassing high-end skincare brands worldwide, with counters set up in over a hundred major cities nationwide.
And to endorse Estee Lauder, at the very least, you need to be second-tier.
Li Jiaxu fought hard for this endorsent; how could she lose it over a mont’s lapse in judgnt?
After the intermission ended.
All the celebrity guests changed outfits and returned to the stage to continue recording the show.
Huo Tinghan also returned to his seat.
He looked towards the stage.
Du Huaixi had changed into sporting apparel, standing beside the host. She had a new hairstyle; the stylist dried her hair and styled it into bubble braids, making her look vibrant and much younger.
On her other side, Li Jiaxu’s mood was noticeably low; it was evident that she was forcing a smile.
After all, having just lost an endorsent, how could she genuinely smile?
Huo Tinghan sat expressionlessly, with a cold curl at the corner of his mouth; seeing Li Jiaxu unable to smile brought a slight curve to his lips.
Huo Zijin asked, "Brother, where did you just go?"
Huo Tinghan: "Made a call back to the company."
Huo Zijin: "Is there an issue at the company?"
Huo Tinghan: "No."
Just made a call to revoke Li Jiaxu’s endorsent.
This was just the beginning.
Huace’s Estee Lauder has nurous sub-brands and its own skincare and costic brands.
Li Jiaxu’s initial endorsent was for one of Estee Lauder’s skincare brands. She did a few livestream sales events, and because the products she endorsed sold well, Estee Lauder’s headquarters considered elevating her to Estee Lauder’s image ambassador.
Estee Lauder is a wholly-owned small subsidiary of Huace.
He never concerned himself with matters of this subsidiary.
But, just now, Li Jiaxu dared to splash Du Huaixi on stage; he wasn’t generous enough to let it go.
He was surely petty.
He couldn’t stand others bullying the person he treasured most.
For the rest of the program.
Li Jiaxu played sowhat absent-mindedly and was much more obedient.
However, Du Huaixi played happily.
She loved playing gas, and thus, cooperated with several guests to generate a good show effect.
After the show recording ended.
Du Huaixi had just finished removing her makeup when she received a call from Huo Tinghan: "I’m waiting for you in the parking lot."
"Okay."
She bid farewell to Ms. Xue and headed to the parking lot with the staff escorting her.
By then, the audience had completely exited.
The parking lot is exclusively for the TV station, so there was no need to worry about reporters and fans surrounding them.
Huo Tinghan’s car was parked at the exit.
Du Huaixi sat in the passenger seat and fastened her seatbelt.
Huo Zijin leaned over her seat back, smiling and said, "Xixi, you’re so beautiful today."
Du Huaixi said, "Nonsense, I’m beautiful every day!"
Huo Zijin chuckled.
Huo Tinghan said, "Yinyin, sit tight, the car’s about to start moving."
"Okay."
She looked at Huo Tinghan, "Where are we going next?"
Huo Tinghan said, "Are you hungry? Let’s go get sothing to eat; Jinmo has already booked a restaurant."
Du Huaixi glanced towards Li Junyan and asked, "Xiaoyi... is she coming too?"
Li Junyan suddenly said, "Xixi, you don’t need to look at like that."
Du Huaixi was startled.
Li Junyan said, "I’ve already cleared things up with her earlier. She now has soone she’s seeing, which ans she’s moved on."
In front of Huo Zijin, he saw no reason to hide anything.
After all, there’s nothing untoward between him and Rong Xiaoyi.
Xiaoyi is a good girl, just fell for soone she shouldn’t have.
And from start to finish, he hadn’t crossed any lines, so there was no need to deliberately avoid anything; being open would avoid unnecessary misunderstandings.
He worried that Yinyin might misunderstand sothing, so he didn’t want people around him tiptoeing as if there was sothing to hide.
Huo Zijin said, "Did you two date before?"
Li Junyan: "No."
Huo Zijin said, "Then why do I feel like... my brother seems to be hiding sothing from ?"
Li Junyan: "They’re afraid you’ll be sensitive and misunderstand."
Huo Zijin shook her head and said, "Even if you two dated, I wouldn’t mind. After all, that’s in the past. The past is the past, and now is now, I differentiate very clearly."
Li Junyan gently patted her hair, "I know you wouldn’t mind, but the fact is, nothing ever happened between us."
Du Huaixi giggled, "Yinyin, actually, the past story is quite simple. Xiaoyi once liked my brother, but my brother also clearly rejected her. She let go of her feelings for my brother and decided to study abroad."
Though the story could be sumd up in one sentence, in truth, there were quite a few entanglents back then.
By kinship, Rong Xiaoyi would be Junjun’s aunt.
Because of this, the feelings were sowhat taboo to begin with.
When she liked him, Xiaoyi was only in her teens, naive and did so silly and innocent things. But, as Li Junyan said, it’s all in the past. The past is the past, and now is now.
"But, my brother has always been very popular with girls, be careful of him being snatched away by bad girls!"
Huo Zijin said, "I’m not worried! Because I’m also liked by many boys, he doesn’t worry about being taken away, so I’m not worried either."
As she spoke, she glanced at Li Junyan.
The two of them exchanged smiles.
Huo Tinghan looked at the harmonious young couple in the rearview mirror, feeling oddly jealous.
Aside from watching his girlfriend record the program today, he had just been munching on their "dog food."
Even though he’s not single, he felt this "dog food" was filling him up!
The car arrived at the restaurant.
Huo Tinghan wrapped an arm around Du Huaixi’s hand and walked to the private room door, pushing it open.
"Tinghan!"
Rong Xiaoyi saw Huo Tinghan and imdiately walked over enthusiastically, giving him a hug.
She had gone abroad in her early twenties, received Western education, and had shed her forr conservativeness. Her every move was filled with Western enthusiasm and grace.
Li Junyan escorted Huo Zijin and followed right after.
After hugging Du Huaixi, Rong Xiaoyi inadvertently bumped into Li Junyan head-on.
Sowhat surprised, she widened her eyes, "Junjun? Have you grown taller?"
Li Junyan laughed, "No."
Rong Xiaoyi looked at Huo Zijin beside him, studied her for a mont, and finally recognized, "Is this Yinyin?"
