Chapter 581: Chapter 581: We’re Ho
Li Yufei doesn’t like going ho.
Ever since her parents divorced, that ho has never given her any warmth.
The year she graduated from high school, they got together and got admitted to the sa university. Originally, Du Shaoheng said they would get married after graduation.
But she didn’t agree.
Junjun listened intently, and when he heard that his mom and dad never ended up together, he couldn’t help showing a look of disappointnt: “If you had married Dad back then, what would it be like now?”
Li Yufei thought about it. When she was still a student, she dread that at her wedding, the man by her side would definitely be him.
She imagined walking to him in a wedding dress, and he would put a wedding ring on her. She had envisioned their future but never imagined this would be their end.
Junjun asked, “Mom, do you regret it?”
Li Yufei countered, “Regret what?”
Junjun: “Regret not marrying Dad.”
Li Yufei slightly pursed her red lips.
Regret.
How could she not regret it?
She had also regretted letting go of the man she loved the most, but she had no choice and no way out.
Li Yufei patted his face: “You know, you look very much like your dad when he was young. When you grow up, you’ll definitely be as handso as your dad.”
Junjun’s face blushed slightly: “Isn’t it possible that I could grow up to be more handso than Dad?”
Li Yufei: “Hahaha, we’ll see. If you grow up to be more handso than Dad, who knows how many girls you’ll srize.”
Junjun: “So what, I can only marry one anyway.”
Li Yufei was amused by him: “Otherwise, how many do you want to marry?”
Junjun saw Li Yufei laugh. It was rare for him to see her smile; she looked really pretty when she smiled. Perhaps her usual serious deanor at work made people perceive her as cold and unyielding.
It was then that Junjun realized how gentle and beautiful his mom was when she smiled.
“Mom.” Junjun tugged at her sleeve, “Can you smile more often in the future?”
Li Yufei: “Does Mom not smile much?”
Junjun: “Yeah, Mom’s expression is always so ticulous, but you really look good when you smile.”
Li Yufei rubbed the corners of her mouth; it seed she hadn’t smiled like this in a long ti, to the point where her muscles felt a bit stiff.
She promised: “Okay, Mom promises you, Junjun, that I won’t keep a straight face in front of you anymore.”
…
Two weeks later.
Junjun was finally discharged smoothly.
The day of his discharge coincided with his birthday.
Li Yufei wanted to give Junjun a very special birthday, so she started preparing early.
After completing the discharge procedures the day before, on the morning of his birthday, Li Yufei and Du Shaoheng ca to take Junjun ho.
Du Shaoheng bought Junjun several sets of new clothes.
He took off the hospital gown and personally dressed him in the new clothes.
Junjun was very happy.
After staying in the hospital for so long, he could finally go ho.
Apart from being happy, he was also nervous.
This was his first ti going ho.
Going to the ho that truly belonged to him.
After putting on new clothes, Du Shaoheng carried him to sit in the wheelchair.
Even though he could leave the hospital, he still needed a long ti before he could do without the wheelchair. Once his bones healed, he still had to go through extensive rehabilitation to walk, run, and jump like other kids.
Because of prolonged bed rest, he had beco noticeably thin, and his leg muscles had atrophied sowhat.
Li Yufei felt more and more heartache as she looked at him.
She had heard from Du Shaoheng that during the nights right after the surgery, he was with him in the hospital every night. Junjun would toss and turn in pain, relying on pain pumps just to barely sleep.
Junjun said he could endure the pain well.
But no matter how well he could endure, pain that even grown n couldn’t bear, how could he easily handle it?
Li Yufei’s heart ached terribly, but thankfully it was all over, and the storm had passed.
The car stopped at the entrance.
Du Shaoheng opened the car door and first moved the wheelchair down, then carefully placed Junjun in it.
He could imdiately feel that Junjun had gotten even thinner. In his arms, he felt light. Though he was taller than Xixi, when Du Shaoheng held Xixi the previous day and then held Junjun today, he could clearly tell Junjun was no heavier than Xixi.
He was too severely underweight.
Du Shaoheng said to Li Yufei, “Let’s make sure to replenish his nutrition well. He’s too thin.”
Li Yufei: “In the hospital, there were many dietary restrictions, so he couldn’t eat much.”
Because of the need to cooperate with dication treatnts, so foods were off-limits.
But now that he’s discharged, the doctor said, besides regular follow-up checks, there aren’t many dietary restrictions to worry about.
Junjun sat in the wheelchair. Li Yufei took over the wheelchair handles from Du Shaoheng and said, “Let do it!”
She pushed Junjun to the door.
The housekeeper was standing at the door, and as soon as he saw Li Yufei pushing a child, he assud that this child must be their real young master!
He imdiately stepped forward, exclaiming, “Young Master!”
Junjun looked at Li Yufei in confusion.
Li Yufei quickly explained, “He’s the housekeeper. His last na is Kang. From now on, you can call him Uncle Kang.”
Junjun obediently said, “Hello, Uncle Kang.”
Uncle Kang, seeing his such handso and lively appearance, couldn’t resist reaching out, first cautiously touching his hair. Seeing that Junjun didn’t show any rejection, he then carefully ruffled his hair: “So cute, he looks just as beautiful as his mom.”
Junjun smiled elegantly.
Li Yufei said, “Uncle Kang, go ahead and open the door!”
Uncle Kang nodded: “Okay. Everything is ready, just waiting for the young master to co ho!”
The Li Family’s main door was made of hornbeam wood, a heavy double door.
At the entrance, there were several steps. Du Shaoheng ca over to lift the wheelchair. After climbing the steps, Li Yufei pushed Junjun to the doorway.
By that ti, Uncle Kang had already opened the door.
Li Yufei looked down at Junjun, smiled, and said, “Junjun, we’re ho.”
She pushed Junjun inside.
Suddenly—
Inside the door, a chorus of cheers rang out: “Junjun, Happy Birthday!”
Junjun was a little surprised, lifting his head, he saw many people standing in the hallway.
Momo and Han were standing at the door, with Lin Qi and Huo Tingdong behind them, Lin Qi holding Yinyin, while Huo Tingdong was holding Zhouzhou.
Additionally, Guan Yue and Xixi had also co.
To celebrate his birthday, Li Yufei knew that Junjun had a good relationship with Momo and Han, so she specially invited Junjun’s good friends from school to celebrate his birthday.
This was also Junjun’s first truly aningful birthday!
His 10th birthday.
Li Yufei naturally hoped to leave him with an unforgettable mory!
Since it’s his 10th birthday, Li Yufei even ordered a ten-tiered cake for Junjun.
