Chapter 436: Chapter 436: My Sister Likes !

The little one sure is strong!

Lin Jinmo could barely hold her. His arm got kicked and hurt a little, but he didn’t dare loosen his grip, fearing his precious little sister might get bumped or hurt.

The nanny hurriedly took the little princess into her arms and soothed her for a long ti before she finally stopped crying. She quickly handed the baby to Lin Qi, who continued to console her. It took quite a while before the little one finally broke into a smile!

Lin Jinmo watched in astonishnt. He hadn’t expected that, even when the nanny held his sister, she wouldn’t cry—but when he held her, she burst out crying and fussing again!

This wasn’t the first ti it had happened. Lin Jinmo was feeling deeply upset about it. When Huo Tingdong ca back from work, he saw Lin Jinmo sulking in a corner, his handso brows slightly furrowed and an unmistakable look of frustration on his face.

Huo Tingdong asked, “What’s wrong? You don’t look happy.”

It was rare for him to see such an expression on Lin Jinmo’s face.

Lin Jinmo fiddled with his soft fingers in grievance, his eyes suddenly reddening, and his voice turning choked and raspy. He looked as though he was on the verge of tears. “Does my little sister not like ?”

Huo Tingdong chuckled helplessly. “How could that be?”

Lin Jinmo said, “She must not like . Otherwise, why wouldn’t she cry when soone like Mommy or Han holds her—or even the two nanny aunties? She never cries with them! But as soon as I hold her, she starts crying and fussing…”

He sniffled, looking as though he had suffered an imnse injustice, and tears started streaming down his face.

Huo Tingdong couldn’t help but laugh, amused.

To be honest…

It was very rare to see Lin Jinmo cry like this. Seeing him now, it was actually kind of adorable?

After all, Lin Jinmo matured earlier than kids his age. He rarely used crying as a way to solve problems. He was clever and capable, much more than most children. If sothing could be resolved, he would never cry. It was rare to see him show the kind of helpless and flustered expression he wore now. Normally, he exuded an air of composure and calmness. The only explanation for this was that he was genuinely heartbroken, deeply upset, and a bit scared. His mind was running wild, worried that his little sister truly disliked him, making him feel incredibly wronged.

But with this matter, he really didn’t know how to handle it.

He adored his little sister and loved holding her, but every ti he did, she cried. Naturally, he felt aggrieved!

Lin Jinmo looked up and saw Huo Tingdong trying hard to suppress his laughter but failing miserably, resulting in a stiff expression. This only made him feel even more wronged. He reached up, wiped away his tears, sniffled, and heartbreakingly complained, “You’re laughing?”

Huo Tingdong gently patted his shoulder and said, “Don’t overthink it. How could your sister dislike you? She’s so young that she doesn’t even have the ability to recognize people yet. She probably can’t tell the difference between you and Han!”

His attempt to comfort only made things worse.

His words were like daggers straight to Lin Jinmo’s heart.

Lin Jinmo’s fragile emotions shattered again. “She can’t differentiate from Han, but she can recognize you and Mommy?”

He could feel that his little sister had at least so basic recognition of Lin Qi and Huo Tingdong.

She seed to particularly like her dad, followed by her mom.

Because Lin Qi was weak after giving birth and rarely held her, but as long as Huo Tingdong was at the postpartum center, he would always hold Yinyin.

The nanny had said that babies at this stage weren’t very good at recognizing people yet, but they had a keen sense of sll.

Typically, babies tend to favor their mothers more, but since Lin Qi wasn’t breastfeeding and was using formula, the feeding duties largely fell to Huo Tingdong. Babies tend to enjoy the scent of milk, and since Huo Tingdong was always feeding the baby, he carried the scent of milk naturally. This was a familiar sll to the baby, so she grew particularly attached to him.

Lin Jinmo wanted to feed his little sister too, but first off—his sister wouldn’t even let him hold her without fussing.

Lin Jinmo remained utterly dejected.

Huo Tingdong suddenly leaned in close and sniffed. “Could it be that the scent of traditional dicine on you is too strong? Since babies are highly sensitive to slls, maybe she doesn’t like it?”

Lately, due to his allergy flare-ups as he grew older, his body continued to undergo changes, and he had to deal with new allergens cropping up unexpectedly.

Han prescribed him traditional Chinese dicine to drink weekly to boost his immune system.

Upon hearing this, Lin Jinmo imdiately raised his arm to sniff himself but only caught a faint scent of herbal dicine.

Huo Tingdong said, “You’re probably used to the sll of herbal dicine, so you don’t notice it much. But babies like your sister and brother, who are so young, are extrely sensitive to such scents.”

Especially since Lin Jinmo would hold his sister at such close range. Even the faintest hint of herbal dicine on him would be crystal clear to a baby, producing an adverse reaction.

Babies are still too small to talk, so they can only express their emotions through crying and fussing.

Lin Jinmo was half-understanding. “Is that how it works?”

Back ho, he kept the matter in mind.

He temporarily stopped drinking herbal dicine and began using the most fragrant shower gels every day. He even secretly used his mom’s essential oils to soak in the bath, making sure he slled absolutely delightful.

After school one day, he went to the postpartum center. He walked over to the crib, looking nervously at his sister inside, her little legs kicking about. He suddenly felt hesitant again.

Lin Jinmo turned around sharply and hugged Han tightly.

The sudden embrace left Han’s face flushed red. “What are you doing?”

Lin Jinmo said, “Sll —do I still sll like herbal dicine?”

Han said, “…Nope, I only sll the shower gel’s fragrance.”

Lin Jinmo asked, “Really?”

Han affird, “Really…”

Only then did Lin Jinmo relax.

He nervously went to hold Yinyin.

Yinyin was awake, her pacifier in her mouth, curiously observing the world. Suddenly, her tiny body was scooped up into a pair of hands.

Monts later, Lin Jinmo’s clean and adorable face was right in front of her.

Yinyin widened her eyes, curiously staring at him.

It had been days since Lin Jinmo last held her. Clearly, the little one was feeling slightly unfamiliar.

Lin Jinmo grew increasingly nervous. His heart raced as he worried she might burst into tears the next second. He unconsciously held his breath!

Not holding his sister for a while, he noticed she had changed quite a bit in just two weeks. Her face was now chubbier, with adorable baby fat. She had a pair of wide eyes with no visible double eyelids just yet, but her eyelids already bore faint, beautiful creases. Her irises, black and glossy like onyx, glead with an extraordinary light—like the purest spring water in the world condensed within.

Suddenly—

Just when Lin Jinmo was at his most tense, the little one in his arms suddenly curled her eyes and smiled at him!

Her round eyes instantly transford into crescent moons, and her tender smile, though silent, was enough to lt anyone’s heart!

Lin Jinmo was overwheld with emotion.

He gently nuzzled his sister’s soft cheeks and let out a crisp and tender laugh. “My sister likes …”

Yinyin stretched out her tiny hand and grabbed Lin Jinmo’s face.

Lin Jinmo held onto her hand and softly said, “Yinyin, I’m your brother. My na is Lin Jinmo. Welco!”

Welco to this world.

Welco to my side!
