The forest surrounding the Blue Team was dense and vibrant, with leaves glowing under a faint magical mist that blanketed the ground. The team advanced cautiously, led by Adrian and Lian. The remaining mbers followed, visibly tense, as smaller monsters occasionally erged from the bushes, posing a constant threat. Despite their presence, the focus was on avoiding traps and maintaining a strategic advance, as the first part of the arena was designed to test patience and coordination.

Lian, staying a few steps behind Adrian, carefully observed the surroundings. His shadows extended slightly across the ground, scanning for hidden traps or explosive runes that could be triggered at any mont.

"Stop," Lian said quietly, extending a hand to the group. Everyone froze. He pointed to the ground, where faint glowing marks shimred on a moss-covered stone. "Impact runes. One wrong step and... well, it won't be pretty."

Adrian approached, crouching next to the stone to examine the runes. "Good catch, but these are easy to disarm." With precise movents of his rapier, he disabled the nearby runes, dissipating the energy contained within them. He shot Lian a smug look. "If it weren't for , you'd still be stuck."

Lian scoffed. "You just cleaned up what I spotted. Don't flatter yourself."

Before Adrian could reply, a loud rustling ca from ahead of the group. A wolf-like creature, its eyes glowing a crimson red, leapt from the bushes, snarling. Two smaller wolves appeared shortly after, circling the group.

"Ti for action!" Adrian shouted, charging forward without hesitation. He delivered a swift strike with his rapier, slicing through the air and hitting the largest wolf on its flank. The creature recoiled but not before snapping at Adrian's arm, which he narrowly avoided.

"Defensive formation!" one of the students shouted, conjuring a magical barrier to protect the less experienced mbers. Lian wasted no ti. He extended his hand, and the shadows around him surged forward like tendrils, ensnaring one of the smaller wolves and immobilizing it.

"Don't let your guard down," Lian warned as his shadows dragged the wolf away from the group, neutralizing it. The third wolf tried to attack from behind but was repelled by a student wielding a spear and fire magic, scorching the creature's fur and forcing it to retreat.

Within minutes, the group had defeated the three monsters, though the attack had shaken the confidence of so of the less experienced students. Adrian, however, appeared unscathed, his smug smile grating on Lian's nerves.

"That was way too easy," Adrian remarked, wiping his rapier clean on a piece of cloth. "I hope the Red Team puts up more of a fight."

Lian ignored the comnt and turned to the other students, many of whom were still catching their breath. "Stay in formation. We don't know what's coming next."

They pressed on, but the wolf attack was only the beginning. As the group ventured deeper into the forest, the magical traps beca more frequent and increasingly difficult to avoid. At one point, while leading the attack group, Adrian unknowingly stepped close to an explosive rune. Walking behind him, Lian noticed the energy building around Adrian's foot.

Acting quickly, Lian darted forward, grabbed Adrian by the collar, and pulled him back. At the sa ti, he wrapped the rune in his shadows, managing to contain the explosion, but just barely.

Adrian, clearly annoyed by Lian's growing dominance in navigating the traps, refused to acknowledge the save. He wouldn't admit it aloud, but it was evident that Lian's tracking skills were indispensable.

Unfazed, Adrian pressed on. "At this pace, we'll never reach the Red Team's flag before their group reaches ours," he said impatiently, glancing at a holographic map projected by one of the students. "We're moving way too slow."

"If we rush and trigger another trap, we'll waste more ti dealing with injuries," Lian replied coldly. "Do you want to reach the flag quickly or in one piece?"

Adrian narrowed his eyes but didn't respond. He knew Lian was right, as much as it irritated him.

anwhile, elsewhere in the arena, the Red Team was making steady progress toward the Blue Team's base. Among them were Saya, Toran, and Elios, working together to overco the challenges. Saya, with her magical bow, took down creatures from a distance, while Toran used brute strength to clear paths through traps and ruins. Elios, assuming the role of leader, guided his group with precision.

"The Blue Team is probably waiting for us with a strong defense," Elios remarked, analyzing the holographic map in his hands. "We need a way to distract them while a small group flanks from the side."

"Leave that to ," Toran said with a confident grin. "I'm great at creating distractions."

Saya chuckled, but Elios remained thoughtful. "We can't just rely on brute force. We need a strategy. They're likely prepared for a direct attack."

Back on the Blue Team's side, Adrian and Lian's group finally erged from the forest, reaching an open area with a clear view of the Red Team's base. The base sat atop a hill surrounded by ruins, with the red flag glowing at the center, protected by a magical barrier similar to their own.

"Finally," Adrian said, a predatory smile spreading across his face. "Now the real fun begins."

Lian, however, was more cautious. He noticed faint glints at the top of the ruins, likely arrows or spears ready to be launched. "They already know we're here. This won't be as easy as you think."

Adrian ignored the warning, raising his rapier. "We'll split into two groups. One creates a distraction on the right while Lian, a few others, and I go left and head straight for the flag."

"You're underestimating them," Lian replied, but Adrian was already issuing orders to the other students.

Lian sighed, surveying the field ahead. He knew this plan would lead to trouble, but at the sa ti, he felt determined to prove that he was more capable than Adrian believed. The battle for the flag was about to begin, and Lian knew he would need every ounce of strategy and power to erge victorious.

In the control room, Lena watched the monitors with her enigmatic smile. "Let's see how you handle this, children."
