The class F room that was once overfilled with students now turned into silence.

Desks sat abandoned. The usual whispers and chaos? All gone.

Everything stood there was silence.

Desks sat abandoned with their owners rcilessly wiped out by the succession ceremony.

It was a brutal check of reality.

97% failed.

And only four students remained.

Did that bother Varden?

Not even a little.

While others drowned in their failures, he remained surviving.

People called F-Class the graveyard of incompetence, a pit where students went to rot.

But honestly?

With Professor Sean’s clear, structured teaching, the lessons felt almost insultingly simple compared to the tangled ss in the textbooks.

Varden had no complaints. No worries.

Life is good.

Well—

Except for one thing.

"Ksksksksksksksksks—"

A grating, nerve-shredding noise word into his ears like nails raking against a chalkboard, sohow louder than Professor Sean’s voice.

Varden didn’t even need to look.

Well, who else would it be besides Elijah?

That guy was gnawing on his nails like a feral gremlin, his foot tapping so fast it could drill through the floor, shifting like he had a ghost breathing down his neck.

Varden’s eye twitched.

"You know," he finally snapped, "if you’re gonna fidget like that, go sit sowhere else. There are literally dozens of empty seats."

Elijah didn’t even glance at him.

"Shut it, grasshead."

"...I don’t even have the energy to argue with you."

Ti dragged painfully until, finally, the bell rang.

Professor Sean adjusted his glasses, snapped his textbook shut, and set down his chalk. His gaze swept over the remaining students. "That’s all for today. Please study well for the upcoming exams."

The students stood and bowed.

...Except Elijah, who was a second too late.

Professor Sean strode out with his usual unhurried steps, a clear signal for Varden to leave.

That is, until Elijah grabbed his arm.

"What?" Varden muttered.

"Doesn’t this feel weird? Why is Professor Sean suddenly retiring?"

Varden groaned, rubbing his temples. "Are you seriously still on that?"

"Of course!! Without Professor Sean, who the hell am I supposed to use— I an, who the hell wants to teach this class?!"

"...I heard that, you dimwit."

Before Elijah could spiral into another dramatic outburst, a new presence entered the room.

A red-haired guy strolled in, looking way too relaxed for soone in Class F. His na tag read:

[ Shawn Hendez || Class F ]

Shawn humd, plucking at his lips cheerfully. "Eh, what’s the big deal about it?"

Elijah nearly exploded. "Everything!!"

Varden, who had ntally checked out five minutes ago, sighed.

His gaze flicked over the newcor, assessing him.

’...Shawn Hernandez? I heard his mahika strength rivals Class A, but he can’t control it properly. His grades are barely passing... He gives off the vibe of soone ant for a higher class. So what the hell is he doing here?’

’Wait... Ugh. Why am I even here again?’

Varden frowned, massaging his temples. "Okay, but surely we’ll get a new professor for our class."

Elijah whirled on him. "WHO WOULD EVEN WANT TO TEACH THE LOWEST CLASS?!" He threw his hands up. "They’d rather beco a janitor than deal with us!!"

Varden opened his mouth to argue—

But on second thought...

’He was damn correct’

Then, another figure stepped forward.

This ti, a girl with violet hair, with her face partially hidden behind a book.

Her coat also had a na tag:

[ Rachel Hantaro || Class F ]

Varden’s eyes flickered, recognizing the newcor.

’Rachel Hantaro... scored 87 on the written exams. I bet she could also get 100 if she wasn’t 30 minutes late in the exam. A fellow book lover. Barely scraped through the practical, though—got carried by her teammates. But there’s sothing... off about her. She’s got this aura... sothing tells she’s not a normal student either.’

Rachel spoke softly, barely above a whisper. "Isn’t... it better?"

Shawn tilted his head innocently. "Better?"

Rachel nodded, still keeping her face buried in the book. "If there’s no instructor for F-Class... then we’ll probably be promoted to E-Class."

Shawn blinked, then clapped his hands together the mont he figured it out. "Ohhh, then that’s ten tis better!"

Elijah slamd his hands against the desk.

"FOOLS!"

Varden didn’t even flinch. "Why are you guys even discussing this ON MY DESK? LET LEAVE."

Predictably, he was completely ignored.

Elijah pointed an accusing finger at them. "If we get promoted to E-Class, our chances of survival drop! Without F-Class acting as the bottom gate, if we fail to get at least 30% on the first midterm exam, we will be kicked out!"

Shawn’s confident smile shattered. A bead of sweat rolled down his temple. A small tear began showing off from his right eye "eh..?!"

Of course, the other two seem unaffected by it.

Varden rolled his eyes. "That’s simple. Just study."

Rachel, still half-buried behind her book, gave a small nod of agreent.

Elijah slamd his hands on the desk again, this ti making his voice much louder.

"Which ALSO ans we’ll be forced into MORE physical activities and join clubs!"

Rachel flinched so hard she nearly dropped her book. "?!!!!" Her whole body trembled like a chihuahua in a snowstorm.

Varden raised a brow. "... We’re just going to lose 50% of our ti, but it’s not even that hard."

Elijah whirled on him, this ti making his voice almost like a scream.

"Which ALSO ans we have to pass the practical ’MAHIKA’ exam."

Combo!

Varden stiffened. "??!!!!" His soul visibly left his body for a second, like a boulder crushing in his back.

"....."

The room plunged into a heavy, dreadful silence.

No one spoke.

No one moved.

Then—

Varden’s voice cut through the tension with a more serious tone.

"We need to... no... We must make Professor Sean stay."

Everyone exchanged glances, nodding in grim agreent.

Shawn crossed his arms, visibly on board.

"Should we kidnap him and threaten him to stay?"

Elijah stroked his chin, considering.

"Sounds viable. Or we could bribe him with money."

"Take this seriously!"

Rachel, still half-hidden behind her book, hesitated. "...Then... what’s the plan?"

A slow, devious grin spread across Elijah’s face.

"Oh, I have one. I hope you guys won’t complain after hearing this."
