Viktor was terrified. He couldn’t believe his eyes because he saw no future where he t with Lucifer. It was out of the ordinary. His presence was too dangerous based on his current state. He was in another world possessing a different body. He was nowhere near his actual strength and he was lacking the power to defend himself.
His eyes froze for a few seconds.
’Why Lucifer is here in the mortal world? When did he arrive? More importantly, how did he know I am currently on a mission? Did the god of the dungeon say sothing to him or Kiki requested personally to look for a missing candidate from the tower?’
Thousands of questions started to create a storm inside his head and at that mont, Lucifer finally spoke.
"Don’t worry. I’m not going to hurt you Viktor. It’s forbidden to harm a demigod without reason. Don’t tell you forgot the laws of Void."
Viktor snapped out of his thoughts and replied, "I didn’t expect to see you here, Lucifer. Although it’s our first eting in person, we already have a good understanding between us. So, what brings you here?"
"Haven’t you heard of it yet? Na is throwing a dinner party."
Viktor raised his brows and thought, ’So that’s why he is here. I wanted to know more about it since I was the last person visiting the underworld for a naming ceremony.’
Viktor gulped a mouth full of saliva and replied, "Yes. I also heard you are going to crash at the party."
"Hahaha! News flies really fast huh? So why did you take the tower quest? Is there sothing you need from the tower? I am sure I have everything you need. Just ask. I’m your partner after all."
"It was a personal quest... and I needed to pass so ti since my understanding of ti is a lot faster than others. It’s easy for to get bored quickly."
"Flow of ti huh? You sure have a unique way of passing ti. Oh, I ca here to deliver the second batch of universal fruit. And the contract, I have signed it."
Viktor looked at the Qi contract and check if his sign was real or not. Since he wasn’t in his real body, he couldn’t feel anything from it. But the papers, the magical seal on it was undoubtedly real.
"You could’ve just ordered the servants of yours. There was no need to co all the way down here. More importantly, how did you know about my whereabouts?"
"I am a god, kid-_-. I can sniff out every evil that exists in the universe." Lucifer smiled and showed Viktor his empty hand, asking for sothing.
"Hah..Evil you say.." Viktor smirked and took a pouch full of red infinite mana stones and handed it over to Lucifer as part of their business dealings.
"Wow. These are great! Hey Viktor. Why don’t you just share the recipe? I will beco your sponsor."
"No thanks. I’m good. And isn’t that illegal-_-? ? Just say what you want this ti. There is absolutely no reason for you to co down here and deliver the next batch by yourself?"
Lucifer smirked and said, "Hahaha! You caught . Um, the reason why I’m here is a little problematic... You see. Na’s manipulation spells bother a lot.... So.. Can you remove it for ?"
Viktor was speechless...
He zoned out so much that Lucifer started to shake desperately to bring him back to reality.
"Oi Viktor!! Co back to your senses!!"
"Huh? Huh? What happened?" Viktor asked.
Lucifer grinned his teeth and said, "I want to kick that a**hole so I invited myself to Na’s party. But after crashing at his house, the manipulation spells on are acting more actively. I am an evil god. But the spell he used is more than I can take care of. I think Na is hiding sothing very big and dangerous. It’s more evil than I am!"
"Eh?.."
Viktor again went back to his blank zone and stared at the glowing neon building.
"Oiii Viktor!! Co back to your damn senses!!"
"Oh.. Lucifer... what were you talking about?"
"Tsk! You little...!" Lucifer sighed and rubbed his face in frustration. "Look, kid. I wasn’t planning to co but I saw the future that only you can lift this damn magic engrave from my body beside Odin. That old freak will definitely take advantage of it if he finds out my weakness."
’Of course, he would. You’re an evil god and you’re an eyesore who is always thinking how to take advantage of others. There’s no way people will help you. But it’s very interesting to see that Lucifer himself has co down from his territory to a re demigod like for help. Of course, I am the demigod of all living records and it’s normal for to know about curses, magic spells and technology. Lucifer is right. Only I know how to lift the curse beside Odin. But I can’t let go of this opportunity. I also have sothing to ask from him.’
Viktor smirked and looked at Lucifer that sohow scared him. "Oi, what are you planning?"
Viktor took a red-looking paper from his dinsion pocket and placed it on the floor.
Lucifer looked at the paper and said, "Another Qi contract? What do you want this ti?"
"Before that, Let’s move to a less crowded place," Viktor said and opened a door to his empty dinsion room that he recently made. It wasn’t connected with his old one so he wasn’t worried.
Lucifer went inside the dinsion room and saw it was nothing but an empty spacious field. It was so large that he couldn’t see the wall.
"Viktor, do you know? Building one dinsion isn’t an easy task. It is like building sothing out of nothing. I must say, you have a spectacular Qi. The demigod of all living records, huh? You must be pretty lucky to have that. The way you can look through anyone’s mories, I think it’s a cheat. I wish I had that too."
"Tsk...you’re a king god so why are you even complaining? Here, take a seat."
The thing Viktor took out wasn’t a chair. It was a big futon that could fit 10 people. Viktor sat in its middle and then, a table appeared out of nowhere on it.
"You’re going to make sit on the floor?" Lucifer asked.
"Ah, co on. Just sit. I’m also sitting here, aren’t I? Besides, you’re my guest so you must act according to my wishes. And I think it’s not a good ti to complain about irrelevant things."
Lucifer sighed and sat in front of Viktor and placed both of his hands on the table. "What do you want to talk about?" Lucifer asked.
"How long has it been since you had your naming ceremony?"
"About a few septin-decillion heaven years? I stopped counting after the Void made a new set of rules."
Viktor rubbed his chin and said, "Before you, who was ruling your territory? Do you rember?"
Lucifer frowned his brows and thought about it for a second. "It’s hard to say because after I was born, so parts of my mories are missing. I have no idea who rules the evil before . I just know he was a close relative of my spouse. A very close one."
Lucifer knew it was a serious matter but there wasn’t anyone whom he could trust or ask help from. He tried to solve the mystery by himself but everyti he did, he ended up at the sa place. His missing mories. But was that really comnted on his manipulation spells engraved in his soul?
So he again asked, "Does that have so kind of connection to my soul?"
"I believe so. It’s been only a few years since I ca out of the underworld. I have spotted so irregular patterns in the servants’ behaviour. And the most suspicious thing was the temple itself. Have you ever felt like Na is your father when he calls?"
Lucifer flinched after recalling Na’s horrifying face and replied, "You’re not wrong. I don’t understand why that happens to ."
"That’s also the effect of the manipulation spells. Na is not a good god. Now tell . If he’s a great god, why can’t he co out of the underworld?"
"Because of his duty?" Lucifer replied.
"No, because he is stuck. He is stuck because sothing is keeping him there. Do you know why the na forbids everyone to go near the prayer room before the ritual? That’s because he is hiding sothing. He is hiding sothing very dangerous. It may cause a greater disaster than you can imagine. For now, stay away from the underworld and try to do sothing that would make Na postpone the dinner party. I will remove the curse from your body but before that, I need you to do a favour."
"Tsk... I knew it."
Viktor smirked and replied, "There is nothing free in this world you know... heheh.."
