’I can’t help but thank the god of holidays that tomorrow is Sunday even though he doesn’t exist -_-.

But sadly, Sunday is a day that runs at lightning speed. It’s 8 pm now, so approximately, I have 36 hours to level up in this abandoned dungeon.’

Viktor looked at his floating screen and set a tir. He then walked inside the dungeon nad ’Poison’ without any torch or light magic.

Poison Dungeon is an infamous dungeon situated in the southern land of Romos. People say it’s a pathway to the demon land because it’s always leaking a dark aura from its entrance.

That’s why no one has ever dared to enter even if they are pretty confident in their skill. It’s been abandoned since the ti it was discovered by an old wizard 400 years ago.

But to Viktor, it was the purest place for his demonic aura. It was also a great place for him to level up as soon as he could.

He was targeting monsters that’s why he selected a dungeon a thousand miles away from the academy. Since he had this staff, travelling a long distance was a matter of minutes for him.

Viktor walked inside the dungeon with no light because he was granted the demon lord title. For that, seeing things in the darkest place wasn’t an issue.

His vision was just fine.

’My eyes are already adapting to the dark environnt like before. A few days ago when I didn’t have the title, I was facing so problems seeing in the dark. Now it’s not an issue anymore.’

Viktor then closed his eyes and expanded his mana around him to see the paths ahead of him. His mana reached 50 ters ahead and then he saw his path got divided into five. It was like an ant nest but there was no sign of any ant.

Ant lives by forming a colony of thousands. If it really was an ant rest, he would see swarms of ants coming in and out through the cave.

Since the cave was empty but the dungeon was alive, he assud it wasn’t an ant dungeon. Sothing else lived there.

Viktor approached the place where his path got divided into five and again expanded his mana to see what kind of monster lived there. The caves were getting narrow so it was getting difficult to maintain five different visions inside his head. They were filled with traps and suspicious magic spells around the walls and the floor.

’So there’s only one way inside and that’s the 2nd path. The other ones have dead ends.’

Viktor took the second path to his left and followed where his instincts told him to. It had been only 2 minutes since he entered but the narrow, suffocating environnt was making him feel like it’s been an hour or two. He kept checking his tir and then,

He heard a noise.

’I’m sure there is a monster in front of . It’s big, bigger than 2 ters. I can hear its sharp teeth clenching against each other. It’s a hungry monster, a giant lizard punk just like before.

But this ti, I’m a lot stronger than before.’

Viktor made a link between his hand and his earring. He then made a small ice arrow and threw it at the monster’s head.

It didn’t even break through its skill. It simply bounced back elsewhere.

’You’re sure tough. Monsters in this dungeon are definitely different from the rest. Since they have been exposed to this demonic aura from an unknown source, they’ve gotten sturdier despite their level.

I’m sure they are on the sa level as level 40 or 45 monsters.

But alas, my skills are superior to your re defences.

Viktor then cast a higher-class magic from his staff and a beam of light pierced through its chest.

*You’ve levelled up.*

Viktor glanced at the floating screen and again cast the sa spell since a swarm of that type of monster kept coming from the cave.

’Level 31, huh? Let’s see how much power I can gain by killing the sa type of monster as before. I’m hoping for a good result.’

Just like he fought with an ant swarm, he was again facing the sa type of swarm but this ti, it was level 35 iron lizards. They were B- class monsters and their core was a good material for making various types of potions.

But Viktor didn’t have any ti to collect scores for his studies. So he kept moving forward by attacking the lizards continuously.

After an hour, the swarm piled up inside the cave and it made the way more narrow. Viktor was feeling dizzy because the breathable air was running out due to the use of fire-type attack spells.

He only levelled up 10 but still, he didn’t receive any skill. His magical power and his health but the lack of air was making him slow.

He took a seat beside the pile of monster corpses and said, "Ah, it’s been so long since I felt hunger. The reek of monster blood is also making feel nauseous. I want to throw up...ugh..."

Viktor’s eyes beca teary after throwing everything he ate a few hours ago. His hands were shaking in ntal exhaustion.

’How many years has it been since I felt this disgusting feeling? Thousands of years? I’ve spent so many thousands of years inside my library realm without eating, sleeping or drinking a drop of water. I’ve spent so many years in a ti trap space without any food. I relied on my fragnt that supplied with human-abandoned mories and emotions as a source of nutrition. But after I was cut off from my fragnt, I started to feel hungry all the ti.

I ate and ate, and ate. But my stomach seems to be bottomless. Is this what Adonis felt like when he didn’t eat human flesh as food for a day?

I know my stomach is full, it still has so food left in it. But the hunger I feel isn’t asking for human food. It’s asking for mortal mories and emotions as food.

But how am I supposed to eat them when I don’t have my fragnt connected with this avatar?

Viktor clenched his jaw against eachother and said, "I’m...so hungry..."

Viktor looked at the pile of monster corpses and saw one of its brains was exposed from its skull. He then thought, "Can I?"

He started to lose his mind because of the unbearable hunger inside his stomach and approached it.

"What am I even thinking...hey.. I’m not going to do this, right?..."

His hand grabbed the blood-coated brain on its own and it reached near his mouth. He was trying his best not to eat it but his mind was in a ss. His stomach was growling in hunger.

He started to shed tears and said, "Is this why nobody can pass the trail? Because their fragnt food becos a type of drug to them? I know I can live well with human food without any spiritual food. But the habit is the only thing that stops us from living a normal life."

He put the raw brain inside his mouth and swallowed it after chewing it twice. Soon, the mories of that monster began to take spiritual form inside his stomach and went inside his core as food.

But the taste, the disgusting texture of the brain made him throw everything out again.

"I... I’m alive..ah.. this disgusting taste is still inside my mouth..Thuu!!"

’But I just discovered sothing new today... Since my fragnt makes food out of mories and emotions, I can eat so part of one’s body to fill my stomach. I can clearly see through the monster’s mories now. I’ve already eaten it as food but I still rember where it ca from, how many paths and how big the dungeon is.

But I can’t see the way, I just know.

So, if I eat its eye, can it show its mories?’

Viktor looked at that monster’s eye and saw it was bigger than a hamburger. There was no way he could swallow it.

"No, let’s not eat anything raw. I’m already at my limit."

Suddenly, the floating screen appeared.

*Congratulations on levelling up.

Host’s current level: 38.*

*For devouring the monster’s mories as food, you’ve gained a new title.

’Nous Eater Lv1.

The more mortal mories you devour, the more you level up.’

**This skill wasn’t granted by the tower. This skill is related to your main body skills. For levelling up, this skill was released because a small portion of the resistance was lifted.**

Viktor smirked at the floating screen and said, "So I was always a being that accepted raw flesh’s mories as spiritual food? And I acted like a vegetarian Karen all these years?"

He started to laugh at his senses and again said, "I guess I AM a cannibal after all, a devious one at that."
