Alexander was standing near the window facing his garden. And for once, he found the garden a solace and the serene and tranquil environnt added to the scenery felt so good. He inhaled the fresh air deeply and a smile curved on his face. For so odd reason unbeknownst to him, the injury on his head had healed significantly fast. He felt a renewed sense of energy surge through his body.

But sorrow hit his heart hard when he rembered everything. When Isadora hit his head with the vessel, every image that was blurry in his mind beca clear now and he rembered everything. He also rembered how Gareth had ashad him in the training grounds and that made him raise a brow. Was this the sa Gareth whom he had taken a walk in the park when fighting with?

And he even referred to him as master? That was ridiculous, if not scandalous! How could that weakling possibly be his master? Wait? Did that an that he was a weakling before? He could tell that that had happened not a long ti ago. That explained why he felt like he had undergone so transformation or a transfiguration. He felt as if his body didn’t belong to him in the first place.

His gaze shifted to the swing on the garden and the scene replayed in his mind. The scene that had given him headaches for almost an eternity. He saw Isadora seated on the swing while she delicately played the flute. A smile curved on his face when he saw how beautiful she looked that mont. She was like a fairy descended directly from heaven, her face, the perfect definition of angelic. How could he have forgotten her. The mont where he kissed her for the first ti replayed in his mind and a warm feeling enveloped his being. How could he have forgotten her for real? Her soft lips and sensual lips, her scent, everything about her lingered in his mind as if it was yesterday.

But the last ti he saw Isadora, he had seen the pain and regret in her eyes. Oh Lord! Had he hurt her feelings? Her pained face popped in his mind and a sudden feeling of anger filled his heart. He rembered how she had looked at him with those eyes, eyes of betrayal, disgust and disbelief. He could only imagine how much pain she must have gone through now that he was experiencing it himself. What if she had gave up on him? The thought alone was painful to bear. He clenched his fists tightly and made a firm resolve in his mind. He had to look for Isadora!

And with that in mind, he walked towards his bed and picked a pullover ready to go. But where exactly would he find her? Don’t be ridiculous Alex! He scolded himself. Storming out of his room to look for soone without even knowing their specific location. Maybe Lord Richard might have a clue of where she was.

He slipped in his pullover and stalked out of his room headed towards Lord Richard’s chambers. He found a maid there who inford him that Lord Richard was in the throne hall running a king’s errand. This piqued Alexander’s interest. He made his way to the throne hall and found Lord Richard interrogating two Valorian knights. And if his mory served him right, these were the sa knights who had co to his rescue when Isadora attacked him. Well, she had every right to, he thought. She had made a wise decision by smashing the vessel on his head and now, his mories were back. That sounded funny.

Throwing the thoughts at the back of his mind, he walked closer to where Lord Richard was and saw him stiffen when he approached.

"What brings you here Your Highness? How’s your injury?" Lord Richard asked throwing a furtive glance at Alexander’s head. And to his surprise, it was perfectly fine, not even a swelling or a scar. That raised a brow but he didn’t mull over it.

"What’s going on here?" Alexander asked instead, letting his gaze settle on the two knights. Of course he was not going to answer that, and Lord Richard had confird he was fine. And though Alexander knew that Richard was alard by his healing rate, he was glad that he hadn’t asked anything because he himself did not have the answer for the said question.

"Uh, these are the knights that stord in your room when Isadora tried to harm you," Lord Richard began turning to face the knights. "I ordered them to spy on Isadora and Sir Gareth and you’ll be shocked to hear their findings," he added and gestured to the knights to tell Alexander what they had learned. The two knights looked at each other confused. The one on the left caught with Alexander’s questioning gaze making him swallow a lump.

"Your Highness," he began with a broken voice. "After we rescued you," he began that statent in a prideful tone making Alexander scoff. Rescued was not the word to use. He felt like killing the knight. The knight sensed the sudden change of aura in the room coupled with the ’get straight to the point’ look from Alexander making him swallow another lump.

"We were able to trace where Isadora and Gareth lives. It ca as a shock to us when we learned that Isadora is the crown princess of Crescia and Gareth is his adopted brother, Your Highness," the knight said. Alexander’s eyes widened in surprise. Why hadn’t he noticed this before? The tone of Isadora’s skin, and Gareth’s skills. Those were Crescian traits! Hell with it! But what was a princess doing in Valoria disguised as a maid? What was her aim or mission all along? Was she spying on them?

"You may leave," Lord Richard told the knights. They bowed to the duo before walking out of the throne hall. Lord Richard eyed Alexander skeptically, sothing that did not go unnoticed by Alexander. He shifted uncomfortably where he stood before he turned to face Lord Richard, irritated.

"What?" He asked raising a brow. The way that Lord Richard looked at him really made him nervous.

"The crown prince of Valoria fell in love with the crown princess of Crescia," Lord Richard said and chuckled darkly. Alexander was thrown off a bit by his statent. He had thought that no one else knew about his relationship with his personal maid but seems he was dead wrong!
